Well that escalated quickly.

And your avatar enhances the absurdity perfectly.

Anyway, our wonderful torrential rainstorm just turned into a snow storm. Shits starting to accumulate on rooves even. This is stupid, natures drunk again.

Yep! I'm thankful we didn't get snow down here. Just flooding on the Palouse. There's a reason I try to live on the second story of apartments.

He's the president. If anyone shouldn't have privacy, it's that guy. We should be able to trust our head of state with actually doing his job.

On a similar note, Barr, speaking for the DoJ because of course he fucking is, now says that the emoluments clause doesn't apply to Trump's private businesses because fucking reasons.

Even though Carter had to give up a hobby peanut farm. What the hell.

Dude I'm saying the actions were illegal but if they're found innocent by jury then hell yeah he should be free. But hacking happened and that's illegal regardless of ends.

Manning was used and she should be free. She was the whistleblower, not Assange.

I think Chelsea Manning should be free. However, Julian Assange led her into committing crimes in order to leak those documents. There was a crime involved in the hacking into of those databases, not just whistleblowing. If it were just whistleblowing, Chelsea would have had those documents available to her.

So, like, Chelsea good citizen. Did a good thing. Was led astray by Assange to illegally hack state databases. Which is a crime. One that I think Chelsea is clean of, but Assange is not.

"Ah, thank you. I will take the fifty fathoms in that case. I do not know when I would be able to make it to Empyrean."

150 fathoms gets!

Go take care of biological functions at the base, send communication to the bore we're all alive via radio, then hit the city.

Did I expend actual ammo from my rifle? Either way, look to purchase ammunition. Also look for medical supplies. Maybe some paralytics/stimulants/barbituates/various other drugs? And look for doctor's bag fillers. Just in case I run out on mission.

Is there an Ethral outpost here? I won't do anything there this turn (I gotta shop after all) but I'll probably head there shortly.

Non-cancerous is good, but the pituitary is known for regulating hormones. Is that what they're worried about?

But didn't you know? The last bird died years ago. Birds aren't real!

Hey, fingers crossed for you Kagus.

Same for you too, Baal. I know you'll do what's best for your family. I just hope the world treats you kindly enough to get out of there.

And besides, getting it off your chest does wonders for processing through it, at least that's what I've discovered. Makes getting closure a lot simpler when you get a "nah" usually.

PPE:
It isn't confirmation until you actually hear it directly in response to an actual conversation, really.  It does sound like they are in a relationship, but you won't know until you talk.
I've asked her to give me a heads up when she's not busy. Of course, she's more or less always busy, so I don't know how well that's gonna go.

I figure, we've kept in fairly close contact for some time, and this hit does mean that I'm not going to be my usual chipper and supportive self. The least I owe her is an explanation of why I'm not going to be contacting her as much as usual.
Yeah, give yourself some time to get over it if you'd want to maintain a friendship afterwards. Honestly I'm just glad to hear you're out of what sounded like a pretty abusive relationship.

Funnily enough, an anarcho-syndicalist takeover doesn't happen through (conventional) policy.

It'll happen with the strengthening of unions and the rise of worker co-ops in a free market system (i.e the one we have now). The only difference between a social free market and a capitalist free market is that there would be no wallstreet stock exchange, as businesses are all owned internally, through the workers. CEOs and other higher positions are then beholden to the workers and not some outside influence, pushing away from short-term profits to long-term growth as stockholder preferences.

Interestingly enough, that would mean a more stable economy, not only because of less exploitation of rules for a quick buck, but also because profit would be divested into the workers instead of hoarded at the top.

Well, how about educating? Food co-ops are great examples of socialism at work. The Mondragon company is a massive worker's co-op that's super successful, too. Socialism isn't the death of the free market, just the death of the owner/producer divide.

There's two survivors whose duty it was supposed to be to witness the event. Now they just warn people against cults.

Goes by Vaush on Youtube. He's very aggressive and unscripted. Noncompete, Shaun, and Three Arrows are both great Leftist youtubers as well.

Likewise!

Unless you're an ancap, in which case no hard feelings but ancaps aren't anarchists :P   Just have to throw that out there, because that's what most other self-described anarchists on the internet are.

ohjeez ancaps. Nah, I found a twitch streamer who's Anarcho-Syndicalist. He's been a good gateway to all of this.
