Oof yeah I feel you. For me it's a sensation of "I just want to stop doing things". It's not even like just work. I'll get in a mood when I wake up that has me thinking "Maybe I'll just... Stop going in" and I hate that.

AsHul, welcome back. I did not expect you to return from that direction. Drett says, waving hello absentmindedly. These books are quite interesting... They would be moreso if I could understand them.

Other than books, is there anything else of interest in this room? Maybe something behind the books or the shelves?

Drett, Doktormoth

As Qualt finishes patching Benny up, they pull a lollipop out of a pocket, unwrap it and stick it in their patient's mouth. Good patient.

With a pat on Benny's head, they begin to Linger in the hallway. Sit down (Safer that way) and listen for screams of people.

Spoiler: Qualt (click to show/hide)

Oh they datamine the heck out of you, but only what you willingly give them. Some of it is fantastic.

This is one of the few cases I like it. It's all publicly accessible anyway. They just crunch the numbers because they have them.

It's 8:30 AM, I've got my coffee, I've got my breakfast, I'm dressed for work, and I'm 100% psyched to turn around and go right back to sleep. I wish I could stop feeling tired.
Big mood. Caffeine is the only thing keeping me employed.

Qualt leaps into action, completely ignoring the vaporized remains.

Tell me, Qualt asks, where does it hurt?

Fix javascript:void(0) Benny.

You can post a sheet and pray the mighty Piecewise has mercy on your character's soul.

Also, someone absolutely needs to kill the dog and graft its head on their arm. Megaman cannon. pew pew.

Wow someone commented that it's important to have options for bot horizontal and vertical emoticons for mood.

Why though. If one fits better in the UI, use that one. Good grief people, UI design isn't about pleasing everyone, it's about making human-understandable interfaces. If one works better in context, you absolutely use that one.

A shiver runs down Drett's back, vibrating him gently. Why do I feel like someone I know almost ruined someone else's limbs? He quickly shakes off the feeling, however, as he has books to study.
Hm. These books are quite interesting. I would be able to figure out the language given another reference, I feel.

Takes some of the more interesting books, as many as I can carry comfortably. Medicine has priority for me, and anything seemingly occult is next. Other sciences after that.

They're definitely art.

Practical art, but art nonetheless. They are beautiful saws ready to be put to use.

So... the Art of the Deal is throwing a tantrum for a month then giving up?

Per the actual book, yes; the idea is that you only make deals you can afford to lose, then threaten to let them fall through until you get everything you want and more concessions on top of that for good measure, because your opposite party wants a bad deal more than they want no deal at all.

It's exactly the kind of approach you might expect someone who's come to rely on other people to bail them out to take, and in that context it works -- but one of its obvious fail conditions is when you try it on a deal you need. Trump, by all accounts, didn't understand that the shutdown was such a deal.

wow that sounds so much like mercantilism where trading is zero sum and there's a loser and a winner.
