EDIT: Also, now that I have continued on in the game my sword has vanished completely.  Not on the corpse or the tile or anywhere in the area either.  That I remember hearing about before though.


See bolded text.  That's where your sword went.  It is permanently embedded in the corpse (until it rots to bones?).

As mentioned here, it would be very good if we could include attack messages with our modded weapons the same way we can set it for 'unarmed' attacks.

If there were electricity in DF, I'd prefer it if all you could really do was arc it off stuff.  Like random artificial lightning.  Anything else, and it gets to advanced for the year 1050.  Maybe if you get a fortress to last until 1950, then you can have more modern stuff.

That's sort of like something I thought of.  My idea is that if a dwarf is scared by a hostile creature (non-wildlife), they'll automatically pull the nearest alarm lever/blow a horn/storm into the captain of the guard's office shouting.  Assuming they survive to get there,  :D.
