1st Granite, of the year 1056.

My long, 5-year absence is over, I have returned to fulfill the legacy I began some many hangovers ago.
Although it appears that my absence was assumed to be 6 years, by the letter that CaptainArchmage had written to LightningFalcon, Ah... I remember when that boy was simply a novice woodcutter, but those days are long gone, and by the hands of one of the few dwarves that have apparantly been loyal to me throughout my absence, this letter is now in my hands, and shall remain so until I decree it should be released. My good fellow mason, Corai, has kept a good watchful eye over the estate, I shall make sure he recieves appropriate accomadations.

Scruffy brought me the new map for me to re-orient myself, but there appears to be some red-colored writing all over it, making the map mostly illegible. As to what the red substance is is beyond me, but after reading over CaptainArchmage's old logs and finding the same substance over and over, I can only assume it to be ratmen blood, to make up for the low amounts of ink. The thought came to me when I noticed Splint and Mr. Frog patroling the halls with the liquid oozing from their weapons, but that Mr. Frog seemed to be muttering something to himself... I'll have to keep an eye out for him.

Now all I have to do is find out where the trigger for the Lance is.... I'll bet Scruffy knows, but since I can't read his maps, I'll just look for it myself.

... And now the Broker has prohibited the export of Flint items.... the day isn't even over, yet.

...Can't wait to see what you all did to mess up my brilliant planning.

In Dwarven Cooking, there are only two ingredients, Cheese, and Non-Cheese, both are equally edible.

Wow, I expected for it to be back to my turn at least before the magma cannon was completed, or, should I say, fuctional.

...Wait, the first lance of Armok? How many do we need? 42?

13880
Wel, I'm voting for embark two, and could I be Dorf'd as a cheese maker?

I don't want to die 5 times like last time.

Also, I might like a turn.

13881
Yeah, that's sounds like the best course of action right now, I might even take a turn this time around

Also, just to be sure I requested another turn but it hasn't been yet written in the first post.
Just fixed it, thanks for reminding me.

EDIT: Ok, just changed the main page to only show the dorf'd, when LightningFalcon's turn is up and hands off to the next person, I'll take a look at the save and update the page with what seems necassary/relavent, and go from there.

All right, I got my old computer back sooner than I thought, and my data is all intact, here it is.

both levers in Captain Archmage's Room have been connected to floodgates.
Does this mean you have a personal doomsday device in your room now?
Shouldn't everyone get one of those?

Well, after my long absence, I'm back, and I tried to update the main page with what all happened, but simply to much has happened for me to reliably update junk like every dwarf in the fort, so I'll just leave that the way it is, and when my turn comes back after LightningFalcon plays his turn, and then overhaul the whole look of it to make it simpler for the large masses of dwarves we have now.

As for everything thats been happing, this is hilarious, and I can't wait to get back to my turn.

Well, she wasn't diagnosed this month, she's had it for a while now, I just never brought it up, it's just been getting a little worse lately, so I've put more effort toward her than toward the computer, I'm actually just using a replacement laptop right now, until my old one comes back, hopefully with the hard drive still intact, if that's the case, then when my data returns, I'll post it as a late addition, but that might be a good while until then.

Hey, since I've just been able to get back on the forum since my computer broke a good while ago, actually I was in the middle of reading apiks' post about how i should upload what I had done when it happened, so not only have I not been able to work on it, but everything I had done has been lost. I would start again from the beginning, But I simply don't have the time for it between my job, my wife having cancer, and everything else going on, I'll continue to try and watch what happens, but I won't have the ability to contribute anymore.

Sorry if I disappointed anyone, but good luck to you all.

But anyway, will we get an option in fort mode to view a world map? Such as when in adventurer mode how you can see a world map, could we get this in fort mode in order to see what direction a certain race is, or to see how many secondary sites has sprouted up along our fort's border? It would also help to get our orientation if it's been a while, but now that the world changes, I think the ability to check on the surrounding area would be nice.
This is talked about in the latest DF Talk. Sadly there is no transcript yet but he basically talks about how a map might work in fort mode and how new news might appear on it.
Awesome, can't wait for that transcript.

After a big modding surge, I've completed a few things, we now have renamed creatures, no more fisherdwarf, now a fisherforumite! Minor change, but it bugs me. We also have Slenderman, but I doubt he'll show up cause he only comes in with bogeymen. We have a new "spammer" ranged weapon that shoots the old spam and some new stuff, if I did it right, both spammers and laptops use the old spam ammo. And we have potatoes, which I made grow in every season, everywhere, and makes "forum vodka" as well as being able to be milled into mashed potatoes.

Still working on other stuff.
