My dwarves refuse to use stockpiles I'm putting down and I have no clue why they're enabled on pretty much anything and yet they refuse to move anything to anywhere even after I remove all the stockpiles and then put them back down I'm at my wits end and so is my OCD.

also can someone tell me how to insert images directly to the forum i have trouble.

Nope, I've dismantled my pump since and from what I can gather there is nothing wrong the dwarf pumps just fine, sometimes for 5 minutes other times 5 seconds.

Ah thank you for the floor answer that helps but the pump one there is only one opening and i've checked the wiki and done what it says but from what i can tell it's literally doing it for no reason :/

SO, fellow dorfs and dorfettes I pose two questions; How do build on a constructed floor and why is my pump messing up.

1st question is that I would like to build upon constructed floors to make towers and the like me and a friend don't seem to grasp how to do it.

2nd question is hard to explain; I'll be pumping from the sea with my pump (obviously) all correct and the like and then for no apparent reason the water will sweep my Dwarf the opposite way from the direction the water is going down into the room I dug to stop overflow, As I thought it was overflow that causing the problem an hour ago.
