Where the hell did you find that? I looked all over the TF2 website and googling Team fortress 2 adress/email/etc just turned up blogs about tf2 which need your email to comment on.

I remember when IWM first joined the forums, I'm not sure if he's changed since then I've changed since then or he's just grown on me but at first I really couldn't stand him, sorry IWM.

We could use a wheel based on that circle in a mail sorting machine, it could increase productivity a hundredfold!

Various Nonsense, it used to be the entire finally section then the rest of the finally section was created and it became a softcore /b/ since it had no purpose any more.

What savage did you play? Being a commander is a cake walk, just in savage one whatever you do don't research the damn sniper bows, I have yet to meet a team that can be trusted with sniper bows. Half the team switches to them and then just camps while your base is getting trashed. In savage 2 I miss the beast's gate ability, that could really quickly turn a stalemate into an easy victory, on cross roads I would normally deliberately let the enemy take the centre then gate behind them get a garrison up at the backdoor entrance and send in the behemoths. I never really played savage 2 very much because it seemed too biased toward the humans, and I could never get on as them despite being a kick ass builder who would regularly top the scoreboard despite still setting aside time to help the commander. The beasts builder unit never really did for me either so I used to go on suicide missions behind enemy lines, It's amazing how much damage you can do to the enemies progress if you know what your doing.

Draw:
A demon-god made out of a hundred trooping legs, a thousand beady staring eyes, ten thousand long screaming sineus throats, a hundred thousand gashing gnawing grinding spining maws, and a curved menacing metalic sawtoothed spikes. It is fighting a being made out of light, it's shape is fractal, its form is brilliant, it's spirit is shining, it's heart is leading, it's eyes are shining, it's tendrils are protecting, it's judgement is just, it's mouth is crying. The battle is taking place on a great plain, under three suns, one red one green one blue, across the plain are gargantuan futuristic ruins from aeons long past strewn abaut, and hugging the ruins like scared rabbits are the occasional bronze age village.

On that line there's savage 2, basically an RTS but everyone else plays it as an FPS/RPG, it's very hard to win the game for your team as a commander though it is easy to lose it for your team. Or to put it another way the most skilled team will always come out on top unless there is a large disparity in the commanders skills.

DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Protection from trolls

You can emulate the effect of a moat without digging down thusly:
Code: [Select]
.=ground
#=wall
b=Bridge
A=empty air
^=ramp
Ground level:
...#....
...#....
..^#..#^
..^#..#^
..^#..#^
...#....
...#....

Ground level+1:
AAA.AAAA
AAA#AAAA
AA^.AAB^
AA^.AAB^
AA^.AAB^
AAA#AAAA
AAA.AAAA

If that's a bit confusing basically you build ramps up to the top of your wall, then some walls to stop hostiles wandering along the top of your walls then set a little way in from your walls you build a few more walls with a ramp up to them and a bridge on top leading across to your first set of walls, with the bridge down dwarfs can enter and exit and with it up you should be safe from trolls as will your bridge.
