Now that I get on Puzzle Pirates...  a "/cwho Boat Murderers" indicates that, no, none of them are online right now.
Nice command, I'll have to remember it.

I don't get it.  By that point shouldn't you have enough income to buy Uber Turrets by the dozen?

And then before that, your empire should be small enough that defending it is easy.

And I've actually reached the center of the galaxy before.  Allied with the Grox (this is harder than you'd think) and slipped right past.  It would be entirely possible to fight your way through, of course.  People have done that as well.  It's entirely possible to reach the goal, it's just that it's tricky.

Nope! Your turrets refuse to function unless you are there to watch them.

Pillaging seems to be the best money, try and find a ship splitting it with 20% and jobbers delight. Poker is soooo easy, all the players seem to be idiots who go all in because they actually have 2 cards! And you know if you have two cards you must be able to win!!!!! I just fold till I get a good hand then go all in and take all their money.

I just ended up on dragons nest accidently, I was carpenting for the competition on a navy vessel and it went to dragons nest.
I was going to buy a shack there but didn't want to waste the money so I set the inn as my home

In its defence against the above post, the carry-over between phases in Spore is more existant than that. The path you choose through the first four stages defines your path in the space stage. But yeah, it's more or less just five disparate minigames that would be much better off being separate games.

Yes, each stage gives you a minor bonus in the all the next stages but with the abilities it's just a button that you can win easily never even pressing or else you get unnoticeable bonuses.

Just made myself a pirate called Jreengus, so far I'm good at sailing and bilging but terrible at rigging and carp.

I don't think you got it.  Take any particular game you think has a good story.  Do you spend more time experiencing the story or experiencing the death of countless mooks?  Any Bioware game is a perfect example of this.  They're all lauded for their stories, but the story is not really part of the gameplay.  It's just the thing that ties all the dead mooks together.  On the other hand all those dead mooks are the only thing that keep the game from being an action movie.  And when he talks about conversations he doesn't mean canned responses to selections in a dialogue tree.  He means actual conversations between the player character and NPCs.

The article also makes some not ironic at the time comments about Spore which I found almost painful to read. :P
Left 4 Dead, story is the game play. Ok it's not a massively deep plot but it's definitely an interactive zombie b-movie.

I got the football helmet.  I've played maybe eight hours since all the new stuff happened.
8 hours?!?!?!??!?!

I hate you.

I still only have weapons despite playing it almost obsessively.

Once again physics foils my plans. Actually this is the first time but "Once again" sounds better don't you think?

Also @ Tormy I realise this wouldn't prove the existence of the soul, more I imagined it would hint one way or another.

Razorback isn't totally useless
Wrong
use it when you are sniping from near a sentry and spies wont be able to do the backstab then quick cloak like they normally do for snipers near sentrys and they also won't be able to do the headshots like they normally do for the razorback.
Sap and headshot.
If they do that then they are either some kind of uber-leet spy or both you and the engineer suck balls.

As an engineer any spy who tries to get a sapper on my buildings is dead, normally before they even get the sapper on there. They definitely wouldn't have time to get a sapper on then line up a head shot.
