I'm not going to get a golden wrench, and I'm ok with that.
Same. Though I am taking advantage of increased drops.
This.
+1

Also quote pyramid ftw!

I found the whiskered gentleman. :D I also crafted the Ze Goggles which is only a slight improvement, previously I had the mirror. If I get my hands on the mask I'll probably go back to using the Mirror with the mask but on their own I think the goggles look better. Also I wonder how much they raised the item cap by this week?

This reminds me of this article. Personally I'm in the same boat as fenrif, are you guys still saying the first few words? I'm done already and I don't want to have to listen to you! Skip!

I found Mass Effect to be very annoying because the skip and select option button were the same so I'd end up accidentally selecting a chat option whilst trying to skip a line.

What? I'm not sure what you mean?

To clarify I had 2 different hats for both the pyro and the scout.

Heh, the update and the chance of getting the golden wrench finally convinced me to craft the surplus hats I had. Glad I did now as I got the Fancy Fedora from my unused hatless scout and pyro beanie.

Can't you craft the wrench? If I had 4 engy hats lying around I'd try it, supposedly: 4 engy hats = 1 engy token.. then it's crafted like a normal weapon using metal and tokens.

Also frontier justice looks interesting.

They blew up that van.
Well in their defense they were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off.

The diamond market is the perfect example of why monopolies should not exist. DeBeers controls all the diamonds on a global level, save a small supply of blood diamonds. You don't want to deal with the kind of people who have blood diamonds.

The diamond market is tightly controlled because it has to be. Synthetic diamonds of quality equal or greater than natural ones have been available for about twenty years now. Lifegem will even make you one form dead people.
So why does that require a monopoly which artificially restricts supply in order to keep themselves in business?

And what about for the years before diamonds could be made synthetically?

Who thinks the highest kill ranking should be changed from "One woman army" to "That time of the month"? Or is that too inappropriate?

I think we're onto something. Here's what we do, cut all funding to R&D departments and instead spend about half as much on dry ice which we give to them. I predict an increase of over 9000% in productivity.

No. Insurance companies pay for the drugs, not the R&D. The company sells them at a higher rate in the USA than in Britain.

Britain's public health care system subsidizes the cost of the drugs, and the amount they're willing to pay is determined by the government. The company selling the drug must either agree to accept that much or the government won't pay for it. This forces the company to negotiate lower returns on their product than in the USA, where multiple buyers and consumers accustomed to paying high rates for pharmaceuticals mean they can charge higher amounts for their product.

Capitalism at work!
So we get drugs cheaper due to our non-capitalist system?

Works for me.

They still have high enough prices to make a profit, clearly (or they wouldn't sell drugs here at all) so what's the problem?  In any case, Britain has a fine R&D section for drugs.

England certainly has some R&D for drugs, there's a company in my very town. My A-level chemistry class went there for a trip. From what I saw people don't work in drugs R&D for the paycheck at all.
