Why thank you, glad you enjoyed that line. Seriously though as a superhuman agile vampire running at full sprint i was BARELY faster than it.

I have been, for hours now, been trying to think of a way to aquire pants. Despite conquering 8 different governments, and aquiring all manner of jewelery, the one thing that Flidifiplorsnus Rirnecar Slinamcudal has been unable to obtain, was a suitable pair of pants.

This is the only possible response.

That...is so perfect, sweet armok, my sides hurt

new achievement of epic stealth: i snuck up on this guy with my now legendary ambushing skills:

and after hitting him about fifty times, and cleaving off several less important body parts...

Off with his head.

I've never heard of a kobold killing a titan before.

I guess bows ain't what they used to be. I can attest that my targets aren't nearly so invincible when i'm using a sword. or my fists.

Is my one-legged no-armed vampire stuck that way? (Though you'd be surprised at how much damage she can do with one leg.)

If you had done ANY amount of damage aside from outright losing the limb, you would have been able to heal it by waiting for an hour. vampires are crazy regenerative, but since you actually got the limb lopped off, nope. can't even become a werebeast because you are already a vampire, so, yeah, your choices are: become a biter, wrestler, and/or kicker, or retire.

I suspect it may have had something to do with your weapon of choice being a dagger.

Today I found out why I shouldn't walk on seas of ice. The ice melted and then turned back into ice again without any warning.

that's how my legendary in nearly everything vampire swordmaster died

INSTANTLY? perhaps your speed got so high it created a rounding error. Side note: how do you check your speed in the present version? all my interface tells me is what percent of my normal speed I'm moving at, so far as I can tell.

I can tell you with certainty that that is a hamlet. and it was run by a human lord before I showed up. Or maybe it was a lady? I don't know. If this DOES mean what I think it does, this can likely be exploited for copious amounts of both fun and !!FUN!!

143
And on the other hand, with superhuman strength you can make zombie's heads explode with single punches.

I can attest to this as I went on a run where I only used my fists and kicks and was able to defeat any similarly-sized opponent I encountered by making heads explode.

That was after i had reached legendary swordsman, I decided "fuck it" and started training fists on zombies. even at low skill level, dat superhuman strength.

Another adventurer (this one with over a hundred kills) dead to moronic effects. A 1-z fall in water, colliding with an obstacle that did the usual skull-shattering trick.

at least that's better than a glacier melting spontaneously while you are crossing it, letting you fall one z level, and then refreezing around you

So, this means, when you conquer a town/hamlet/whatever, it actually changes its civ type to match your own?!? Could this be used to, very tediously, make all the dwarven civilizations elven, and all the elven civilizations dwarven, resulting in elves with beards mining for metals and hippy, clean shaven dwarves yelling angrily at the elves for chopping down trees? The kobolds are wearing pants, the goblins are stealing from their neighboring civs and the humans are kidnapping others to join their ways. MADNESS I TELL YOU, ITS MADNESS.

really though does this mean we can convert civs into other types of civs? because that's the implication i am getting here.

You're welcome. I also had a lot of trouble finding pants once. Looks like human males prefer to cross-dress.

What a weird sort.

In my case its that kobolds lack sufficient technology to make pants...even though they can make tunics...Anyway, due to this I can't find any in my size. THE ETERNAL QUEST FOR PANTS RAGES ON

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. It may have something to do with my SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH but as a human vampire i was making zombies' heads explode with one or two punches at VERY low skill level in striking. Even as a kobold im nearly always getting one attack  decapitations ever since i picked up an iron sword. (it did however take about 30 hits when i was using a silver sword though)

hell, when i WASNT punching the head my fists made LIMBS fly off the zombies in one or two hits.

Just cut his head off.

149
It tells me if a given creature is nearby, but gives no indication as to their location. I think I'm missing something here.

side note: any way to make it so 90% of the quests aren't titans, or at least make them not all come up before they tell me about any other problems?

also can anyone explain what the various things on this particular interface means? (on the presently displayed screen)

The top is your different categories, which tells you what type of things will show up on the list to the right, the left will show information about what's selected.
The bottom left corner has different other actions, but the only important one is the Toggle map/info, which will swap the info on the left with a map, and will show you where the selected option is.

I am well aware of this. What I wanted to know was what the specific entries on the lefthand part of this section in particular meant. Did I actually convert that human civilization to a kobold one?

Only the horns are bullshit, as they tend to break bones through armor, like arrows. However, you should have no reason to need to travel at night as an early adventurer without companions anyway. And I will point out that you can now actively choose to dodge, and choose the direction you move in.
