Forum Games and Roleplaying / Merc eat Merc world. (0/10)
« on: June 17, 2014, 07:18:51 pm »
The world is not kind to mercenaries, but its not a thankless job, most people detest you, but the money is only thanks you need. Boyd Co, a multinational conglomerate, isn't known for its dirty tactics to fund it's companies, but its best that, that be unknown anyway. You all work for Boyd Arms, the arms manufacturer of Boyd Co, officially as security consultants. But in reality you're members of the underground, taking contracts to make money so the companies under Boyd Co can continues to fill the pockets of the CEO.

This is something I haven't seen around the forum, a game where people join, but only a handful are used at a time, and secret objectives are past on to people via private messaging, and are given weapons to best suite the mission, which Ill pick randomly.

Classes
Grunt: Can carry more ammo and grenades.
Soldier: More armour, better with auto-rifles.
Heavy Weapons: More health, more efficient with heavy weapons.
Sniper: More agile, better with rifles.
Medic: Can heal and revive people.
Spy: Better at stealth, espionage, and pistols.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Station Fall
« on: June 17, 2014, 04:26:37 pm »
Life was as good as you can expect it be on a space station. The captain was an idiot, scientists constantly blew themselves up, engineers destroyed the engine at first, and the detective shot a clown in the face, but there were worst stations. But that all came to an end eventually, a space station can only take so much before everything grinds to a halt. Their wasn't enough power to keep everything running, the AI went insane trying to save everything, most of the engineers died trying to get enough plasma to the engine, security was overwhelmed by rioting citizens, and the Head of Personnel was killed so people can give themselves access to pods so they could escape. You were one of the lucky few to escape, alone with a few others. Now you're on a planet you know nothing about, but thankfully it has breathable and drinkable air, and clean water to drink. Theres no help in sight, no shelter, and no way to call for help... Still, better than most space stations.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Your custom races.

People to often use resort to the old set up of humans, orcs, elves and other cliches for races in their games. So here you can post your own races you made, or use them in your game.

A long, long way into the future, American greed has conquered most of the world. They control most of the world, minus Russia and most of the rest of Eurasia, but they still have China and Japan. The government has become privatized, and no change in power has been heard of in years, and the only thing it does now is help crime, but it can only help pay for murder investigations, the only thing the police does, and if the government doesn't pay enough, the family has to pay for the case to be solved. Outside solving cases, the police have also become a mercenary group of sort, using their access to weapons to kill for money that they can use to buy more weapons or murder cases. All industry is privatized and free of laws, since they aren't any anymore. They pollute the world, and pump out all they can, damning the consequences. Schools have also, big surprised, been privatized, and they're funded by companies, and they're pretty much propaganda centers to brainwash kids into buying their products, however, highschool diplomas also grant discounts on all of the companies items. Someones entire life is chosen for them while they're in utero, a machine randomly chooses what schools they'll go to, what interests they'll have, and even what particular strengths they'll have. Its a dangerous world we live in, but welcome to the company.

The streets and back allies are the battleground of a war. Not between countries, but between lords. Drug lords, they fight for corners, respect, money, products. Its a hard war to fight, especially on two fronts, one with rival gangs, and the other with the police and DEA. But if you can run the show and not get killed or busted, you make millions, if you play your cards right.

The kingdom of Iondul is beautiful place, huge tracks of lush green hills, large emerald forests, architect that looks like the work of the gods, and the citizens are free to do as they please, with little to no interruptions from the crown. But thats not to say there aren’t any bad things. There are cults, vampires, necromancer sects, and disease is all to common in some of the outer provinces. However, no matter how you look at it, no matter where you live, you’ve had it better than you could have being anywhere else. There aren’t any other kingdoms, but there are independent places in the world, but news of them being razed to ground, or the entire population dying comes almost everyday. However, one the most obvious downsides to living here is that life get predictable and boring after a while. Thats why some people decide to become adventures.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / ZombWorld
« on: April 18, 2014, 01:06:55 am »
No one knew it was coming. No one. Most just thought the first outbreak on April 1st was just some new stations having fun. Who would really believe that an outbreak of zombies really started? Certainly not the thousands of dead souls in New Mexico that died that day. Now, just months later America is nothing but the grave of millions of lingering corpses, and no one knows whats happened to the rest of the world. The last time the government was intact they reported there was only a few safe spots in America left. Who knows if those places were really safe, and if they were, if they are now. But even if they aren't, they're the last chance you have of surviving.

Everyone dreams of flying around space at one time, be it as a child or some other point in life, everyone has at least once. But very few get the chance to ACTUALLY do it. However you are going to be lucky enough to do it, reach for the star and really touch them. How your life led up to this point may seem trivial, but its important to see what kind of captain of the stairs you'll be.

Through out history gods have played large rolls in history. But what if you were at helm? Playing god and making decisions your way? Well, its just as easy as doing just that. First though, you must create your religion.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Live to Die. (CLOSED)
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:48:23 pm »
Some say they are born to do things. “I was born to be king!” they might say, “I was born to be a mighty warrior!” they may shout, “I was born to do great things!” they may boom. If only any of them right. Any who say this things may just do them, but many won’t. But whether they do or do not, they were all really born to do one thing. Die, just like everyone else. You are never born to do anything but that, between birth and death, and you may do great things, if so, good, if not, fine as well, because you’ve done what you were born to do. But no fame or glory comes with coming out of your mother and falling dead in old age fifty-something-years later. Who will you be before you die? A king? A warrior? A mage? Or do you really just accept being the shadow of those who do aspire to be something? Either way death will come, but what will you do before then?

Setting: The world is a bright, amazing place. A large stone castle sits in the middle of the world, the epicenter of the villages, towns and military outposts that jut out around it. The sky is almost always blue, broken only occasionally by darkened clouds that bring rain to the land, trees sprout everywhere between towns and villages, only adding to the beauty seen by the people everyday. The only thing that ruins this near-perfect world? The hills, grave stones poke out of the earth like broken, grey teeth that stand behind the castle, to commemorate all who have fallen, no matter how it happened.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / How can bully humans and elves?
« on: March 11, 2014, 03:45:43 pm »
I know if caravans show up you can outright murder them, or trap them, but thats all so mundane and boring. Is there any other way to fuck around with those tallies, and the dirty elves? Ive of being able to spawn your fortress in the middle of human/elvish settlements with certain mods, but Ive never tried that, nor have I looked into any such mods yet.

Has anyone ever tried to make a fortress like a human town? Like, instead of digging into the earth you build above ground buildings and such. I plan on trying it, and wanted to know if anyone else has, so I can know how hard/easy its going to be.

Curses / What would LCS be like if it was a game?
« on: December 28, 2013, 11:30:07 pm »
I know it is a game, but I meant like a game with 3D graphics and such. I think it'd be a 3rd person shooter, and everything would be broken up like it is now. Where you would choose questions, and skills and stats would advance as you play the game, but you would control the squad in real time, where they go as a whole, but when a fight starts you could only control one at a time, and it go into turn based mode. Why do y'all think it'd be like?

I thought it'd be kind of cool to write up something and see what people say. So, say you became a video game character, a companion to the main character, what would they be like?
