Rebirth could safely, at risk of being elfish, be tombs alongside farms. Fortresses, make the fortress as you normally would, but design the outside to be similar to a medieval castle. War can follow with your castle, kill all who oppose. Metals, well, furniture and stuff :P

It seems to be that the timing of releases can be similar to releases of NetHack (i.e. when it's ready), but at least we know that this devteam still exists :P

There is also, to an extent, the industrial side that can be considered. Some object, such as rock blocks, don't have quality levels. Neither do smooth walls nor mining. Heck, you might be able to make them bookkeeper/manager/broker, though I don't know how well it would work.

if you were a dwarf goblin wouldn't you take your enemies children and treat them like animals? break there will to the point they will mindlessly attack even their own kind? I think that's more dwarfy gobliny than just changing a few things about dogs, because even then they wouldn't be invading you, which is kind of my point, using the invaders against themselves in an ironic sense of dwarvenly gobliny payback.

So apparently you are now your own worst enemy. This is pretty much as bad as a loyalty cascade.

Question: If gobbos you bred attack invading gobbos, would they suffer a loyalty cascade?

How will I utilize minecarts? Science! (note: not ‼SCIENCE‼, even though I'll be answering burning questions. For instance, how far will a troll fly if hit by a terminal velocity minecart.)

Ghosts are useful for causing tantrum spirals, which is kind of like weaponizing them, but is ultimately a bad idea.

If elves are able to bring them, you can fix the diplomat position (modding w/o regen or DFHack, which does that), and request them.

Somewhat useful, correct, yes.

Only downside is that they pretty much can't produce quality goods

I'm not sure DFHack permits embarking anywhere.
Tiles can be 'despawned' by the tiletypes commands, liquids by setting depth to 0
