Dude the type of creature doesn't really matter much, I mean sure it would nice to be a were-eagle or something instead but still its more about the constant healing potential. I mean sure it would be nice to have a giant army of transformed dwarves beat the crap out of everything, but its also incredibly awesome to never have to worry about hospital visits turning bad or getting limbs lopped off. I mean seriously this could single handedly solve like half our problems. And then that single hand would become two hands once they grew back!

Extraordinarily stupid deaths are probably the greatest end to any game of Dwarf Fortress, I mean look at Boatmurdered, they all killed each other because of SMOKE FROM THEIR OWN DOOMWEAPON

Guys, I just checked the legends screen, and apparently theres SEVERAL lord high threadnecromancers, and the problem: they all died

So impending doom is probably from a normal threadnecromancer... And btw, all of them are considered gods... literally, theyre associated with stuff!

Oh and they are all gods because they have the POWER tag, which lets them claim to be gods and gain worshippers. They probably all died after taking over cities and stuff and fighting in wars so yeah. Badass.
