How about this?
Give influx to Al, try having him second shift it.
Take influx back, switch to Al, take influx, try to second shift it.
If the first fails and second succeeds, we are the Influx.

Fight Horolage in a duel w/Ciro and Al
Give Hardhat to Ciro
Heal
OverSP
Get BloodBand
Second Shift Astral Influx(7 guaranteed damage, and ability of unknown strength)

And because he's a Demon, his element SHOULD be Unholy, hopefully. Because Double Damage from Swordshifted Influx, and we should be able to use Tactical Combat to avoid Failing our rolls

Odd, Betweenford refers to Oric and the King, rather than referring to Oric as the King. This could be him referring to Oric by his name rather than title, or it could be definitive proof that Oric is not the King. Perhaps the common theory- that Oric is King and Last Seraphim is the Lord- is in fact reversed.

Originally, the Last Seraphim ruled the Warrens according to Cain, and as such is the rightful King of the Warrens. Oric served the Last Seraphim, by generating soul charge for the Underworld, as a Lord serves his King by getting resources from the peasants. Oric, wanting more power, slayed the Seraphims aside from the King, and took her hostage. Now, Oric rules the Warrens, and is nothing more than a pretender to power.
You might point out that the Last Seraphim is female, while King is a masculine title. However, keep in mind just how fluid gender is in the Warrens- you can easily buy a sex change from shopkeepers, and not even at a particularly high price! It's possible that at the time Oric staged his coup, the Last Seraphim was female, and became male at a later point in time.
This also fits neatly with Ciro being the Last Seraphim. Newford has been calling us the new King, meaning that he's expecting us to return to power this cycle, and we certainly do intend to, at the very least, remove Oric from power as of right now. Also, we started this cycle as male, hence why we'd be called the new King instead of the new Queen.
It's a bit of a stretch, but still.

But Horologe is a mercenary, and therefore an illborn, rather than a Willborn. Well, unless the Chief is even more powerful than we thought, because seriously, imagine subduing, locking, and selling Rillborn and having it actually be obedient to the person it's sold to.
Anyways, since Horologe is illborn, he doesn't have a soul, and we can't do a spirit battle with him. So, I think S0 might be something else, and the missing S4 is a spirit battle.

I'm pretty sure Betweenford said it at some point.

Al brings the device closer. It seems to be a transmitter or sound device.

Do we even know that there is an Oldford?  It could just have been Newford referring to Betweenford, as he would be 'Old Ford' to him.
