You get into the worm's mouth, which is a rather harrowing experience due to the giant circular maw filled with triangular teeth. Everything about doing it makes your brain scream obscenities at you. Regardless you do get in and do tell it to go down. You're not entirely sure where it goes or how deep, since you're riding blind in the mouth and that lantern that sees through flux doesn't help much with wormflesh. However, eventually the ride stops and you can dully hear the worm resting itself against the bottom.

If there are any flux spiders or squealers nearby, ask them to look around and report back to us what they can 'see' as well as they can.

Either way, ask the worm to (very slowly!) open its mouth so the flux goes in gradually. Then, make our way out and look around with the special lantern, see if we can find an entrance to wherever seems likely to be Sibalbia's crib. Make sure the flux worm doesn't swim away for now.

First scan the door/doorway to see if I can pick up anything suspicious, like trace amounts of chemicals that might indicate the other side of the door is trapped with explosives or something like that.

If nothing comes up, open the door (maybe with help from a teammate if it's difficult) but only a little bit and stick the environment scanner through the gap to take a picture/short video of what is immediately behind (if video watch or record at a safe framerate). Check the pic/video, if the other side doesn't either contain our mind-raping target and/or a hostile welcoming party or other deadly dangers, open the door fully.

In any case though, if the Wil-murderbot behind me is still intent on shooting everything as soon as the door opens, then let him or someone else open the door and stand to the side, I'd rather not be the next victim to avoidable friendly fire.  :v

Take a look at the core thingie with wizard eyes as well as the structures surrounding it and inform birbgirl of what I can make of it.

Suppose I wanted to do a dive with Balarim => Xi, each reinforced around 3 or so times, would that be a suitable dive to try and summon information about that black thing: what it does, how it works, how it was made, etc? Or does it need different spheres/more reinforcements?

Go grab what those poor souls had on them (and that hasn't been pulped to mush), and that others don't need. Try to get the riot suit at least, if it isn't shredded.

Check if I could reattach the broken gun arm to Wilbot or to Jibot if I used a toolkit charge, or is it too broken for that?

See if the door to the next sector got compromised.

While waiting, and if I can draw on/with something, make some detailed anatomical drawings of the corpses here (using wizard vision so I don't need to dissect).

If not possible, go check how easy/hard it is to get to the power core.

((Agreed with pan that Darwin will take card of Ecalir's gold for easy bookkeeping.))
Charge up speaking stones with 5 mana each, give 1 to Ecalir.
Put some valuables in a watertight box (for sure artifacts like the glass map and lotus orb, the offerings, the translator book and such).

Leave our animal friends either in whatever stables equivalent they have here in town, or just leave them in a small camp at the shore, with clear instructions so Rexington doesn't try to snack on Yvonne or birbfriend.

Then take the sailfin and sail over the black flux, looking for either a flux worm or some sort of hint of where we need to go.

Stay in cover for now. If that robot comes closer without a VERY clear and unambiguous signal/sign from Wil that he has regained control, or a confirmation from Pathos, shoot the robot with the prototype gun. A lot.

If we do get such a signal, wave my arm around the corner for a second to see if it doesn't get shot off, if not go grab what those poor souls had on them (and that hasn't been pulped to mush). And see if the door to the next sector got compromised.
