DF Bug Reports / Re: Bug? Dwarves gather bodies
« on: February 06, 2008, 01:25:00 pm »
They probably already had the task started once you had told them not to gather corpses. It doesn't cancel existing jobs, just stops new ones from being made. To get a dwarf to stop you could enlist him in the military, or force him to go indoors. At least that's how I understand it. I haven't played in a while  :)

Really? any other ore I've run across have been in the 800 weight range. That is a lot lighter than the gold I've found. It takes my legendary blacksmiths a very very long time to lug one of those up from the bowels of the fortress.

DF Bug Reports / Native gold- Too heavy?
« on: November 06, 2007, 11:37:00 am »
My dwarves mined out some native gold and the gold nugget weighed in at 5796. I haven't encountered any other ores that heavy, so I'm guessing it's a bug?

If I miss forbidding 1 sock, my dwarves go nuts at the entrance.

"I want to go get that sock!" "But I need to stay inside!" "But I REALLY want that sock!"

"I want to go get that sock!" "But I need to stay inside!" "But I REALLY want that sock!"

"I want to go get that sock!" "But I need to stay inside!" "But I REALLY want that sock!"

Which leaves a pile of dwarves running back and forth just outside the entrance of my fort.

DF Bug Reports / Overburdened Traders
« on: October 30, 2007, 03:08:00 pm »
Some elf traders have come to my fortress, but they are already 648 overburdened. So I cannot trade with them because they say they can't carry anymore.

Well, I can trade with them if I want to take some of their heavy junk that I don't want. It still makes trading difficult.

DF Bug Reports / Re: Outpost liaison goes berserk

I just had the same thing happen to me. It was after he had finished his trade agreement. He just hung around in the dining room and zoo, eventually he went berserk.

I just had the same thing happen to a groundhog. No other groundhogs on the map and mine just had pups. I don't think the traders had any either, I usually buy all their cages.

I just had my only dog give birth to puppies too.

DF Bug Reports / Re: Issue with modding civilizations
« on: June 01, 2008, 06:47:00 am »
I decided to visit the site to look at my many engravings. When I left the site I could see a migration group, so I decided to take a look. Their god leader was travelling with the people of the fortress. So I guess the game recognized that he was there, but wasn't able to show it in fortress mode.

I have a save in fortress mode after the king has arrived

DF Bug Reports / Issue with modding civilizations
« on: May 29, 2008, 05:19:00 pm »
I wanted to see what would happen if I tried for the king while I played a civilization that uses the [RELIGION:ANY_APPROPRIATE_POWER] token.

I received the message that the king had arrived and I had become a mountainhome. Some peasants and royal guards arrived, but there was no king. I imagine this has something to do with their god being their ruler?

DF Bug Reports / 33a Game lock up
« on: November 02, 2007, 01:02:00 pm »
I had stepped away from my computer for a moment, when I came back I pressed "a" to see any announcements I had missed, which made the game freeze.

Since I was away, I'm not sure exactly what went on. This was just after a goblin siege so my dwarves were likely picking up equipment and tending to the wounded. I do know I kept getting messages of dwarves canceling giving water to the injured do to lack of buckets repeatedly.

I've had this happen before too. It started working again when I designated an area as a water source.

DF Bug Reports / Cleaning cancellation spam (33d)
« on: December 01, 2007, 10:27:00 pm »
My workers are constantly cancelling a cleaning job.

I have a moat in front of my fortress. Last winter 3 workers fell into the water and drowned when it thawed. The following winter I dug out the ice to retrieve their belongings. When I was done I locked the door so no one could go back into the moat. Now I'm getting non stop job cancellations for cleaning.

I'd like to add that I am using a modified race to play with; but I think the situation would have been the same if I were using dwarves.

I uploaded it if you want to have a look. http://rapidshare.com/files/73692509/dfcleanspam.rar.html

When spring came for me I had 3 dwarves die in the same body of water.  :(
