Makos cursed his terrible roll luck. If the men left now, all his efforts would be for nothing! He briefly considered confronting the Armory Master directly, forcing the information at gunpoint, then dismissed the errant thought. Threatening the man was out of the question. Doing so would no doubt give the old man a glimpse at him, which would lead to a bounty his his head, for sure; and frankly, Makos liked his head right were it was. He also considered the distinct possibility that the man was even more heavily armed than he was, not to mention all the guards he would surely have to deal with if things went south. Most importantly, though, he wasn't sure he had the stomach for such a drastic action. No, the only viable solution was a distraction. He thought back to his days as a child, using small stones to attract the watchful eyes of the shopkeepers just long enough to steal a sweetroll or two. If only he had one of those stones now...

A sudden idea lodged itself in his mind. Makos wasn't sure if madness or brilliance had lead to it's inception, and there was no time to search for the answer. In one motion he both drew is pistol and removed the clip. It was now or never...

Throw the pistol clip off to the old man's right, against the wall, then look about for a quick way down, and above all else, stay out of sight.

((I have absolutely no idea how this is going to play out))

((What exactly is behind the door? Does it lead outside?

Makos cursed the men chating below him. This was a business meeting, not some causul get-together over tea and biscuits! At least, he hoped it wasn't. He'd given far too much to hang here and listen to the two old fools below him prattle endlessly over dinner. He grit his teeth as the blood began to flow to his head. This was going to be a long night...

Continue listening.

Life Advice / Having trouble with Avater

So, I joined this fourm some time ago, and recently I've become intrested in acquiring my own avatar. However, for some reason, I can't seem to set one up. Can someone please explain to me how I'm supposed to link a picture?

I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong fourm. I tried the search function, but all I got was a whole bunch of stuff from the role-playing sections.

(( Exactly how much distance is between Makos and the two men? Also, what exactly is he trying to steal?))

((Thanks GUNIN. Quick question: What exactly am I trying to steal?))

((Alright, who invited Murphy to the party? .))

Shit!

Grab my rifle and pack and run outside. Keep running at a perpendicular angle to the Mongrals until I have a considerable distance between me and them.

((how large is the mongrel... Thing? Will it crush the HabMod?))

TCM - "Her most defining facial clothing, however, is that she wears a pair of large with an orange tint."

A pair of large what?

Sunglasses, probably

What a shitty father-in-law.

Indeed. I have this whole backstory in my head as to why he is this way, and how Makos ended up on this quest, but I decided to keep things simple. I figure that if the backstory has any relevance to the situation, it will probably come out through dialogue.

Name: Makos Duran

Title: Pouncing Cheetah

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Hinkisian

Background: Makos never wanted to hunt incredibly dangerous men across the dry sands. Rather, his heart had been set on the lowly dream of creating his own finacial empire and living in safety and comfort with the love of his life and their dozen or so children. Unfortunately, his sweetheart's father has a rather low opinion of Makos's competency, and as such has refused to grant his daughter's hand in marriage until Makos has proven beyond a doubt his capability, charging him with the task of bringing back the Bandit Lord's head as his test.

Appearance: At 22 years of age, Makos stands 5"11 with brown hair and vibrant blue eyes with a small scar just under his right eye, a testament to a childhood past time of playing with his father's handgun. He wears combat boots, desert camo pants and a brown t-shirt.

Primary: Mk V "Ranger" : A High Caliber, Semi-automatic assualt rifle that preforms best at mediem range. 20 rounds/clip

Secondary: "Firecracker" automatic pistol: An reliable weapon that has seen regular use in militas for the past 20 years. Semi Auto/Full Auto fire selector; 10 rounds/clip

So, will our character abilities be posted for everyone to see, or will they be kept secret from the other players until used?
