I've been considering that, actually. fillipk has been investigated by BHK and Reverie, who both agree that his post was telling the truth. That means that the most likely scenario is that fillipk was telling the truth and they're probably all town. (It's possible that BHK was gambling on fillipk telling the truth. It's also possible that Reverie could be an inspector on a scum team that's aligned against the mayor, possibly looking to elect a candidate of their own?)

This leaves me, NQT, hector and TDS. I know I'm not an arsonist. NQT would need to be pretty brazen to claim that wincon as a serial killer. So we have TDS and hector, as well as the fact that without more information the most reasonable assumption is that myself and NQT aren't looking for the same person. Also of note is that hector reminded us of my criminal, but not NQT's. So at the moment, I'm thinking that TDS is my arsonist and hector is NQT's criminal.

Hematite:
The cook Edem Shorastas has been imprisoned for repeated counts of building destruction and brawling. Well, more imprisoned than he already is if you get my meaning. He seems to have gone completely feral; he's been attacking the people that try to bring him food and drink. I might just wall him off to save everyone the hassle. There's not any sense in reasoning with these lunatics.

We received a message that a diplomat would be arriving from the Foggy Nation a couple of weeks into the month. As it turned out, the lawgiver herself decided to show up. She barely spoke to me besides expressing annoyance at us making sure that she wasn't smuggling in escape ropes or anything. I don't even know why we do those checks any more. Freedom might be a nice prospect, but here the madmen seem more likely to get elected, anywhere else they'd be hunted just like they were before they came here. Plus, there's the whole freezing to death in the icy wastes thing. In any case, she's currently talking to Honeymoon about whatever it is that humans talk about. Vertigo and hitting their head on ceilings, I imagine.

Reverie:

Noteworthy is the lack of a nightkill, which suggests there is no scumteam, or they're hanging back and waiting.

Can you explain this reasoning? Considering that there are players who want to prevent another mayor being elected, I'd say that the lack of a nightkill would indicate the possibility that one of the election candidates could be running a cult, plus the arsonist that I'd like to find.

Hold on. I'm not the only one in a role pair. Deus Asmoth and NQT seem to both have cop(?) roles, both wanting to remove the mayor and chase criminals. Could it be that you guys have the same ability? Is this game symmetric?

Why are you trying to get people you think have cop roles to claim?

Same question, pretty much. Why do you want possible cop roles to claim when if they had results they felt were worthy of sharing they would already have done so?

Ah Filipk. With my role, I think there might be a reason you don't want me dead.

Perhaps you should actually say what you're thinking rather than making vague threats about what will happen if you get lynched. Why do you think that fillipk is the mayor?

Speculation: two truthtellers is odd in such a small setup, so it's possible that one of them is lying. Reverie would have to be suicidal to gamble on TMS lying though, and if BHK is fillipk's scum partner it wouldn't be very good play to make their partnership so obvious in case fillipk gets lynched, or killed by the arsonist. It's possible that BHK could be scum trying to make fillipk guilty by association if he gets killed.

On the subject of TMS, it's entirely possible that he is a survivor since they do tend to be seen as mafia-allies-to-be around here. He's also claimed survivor as scum before though and barring further information I'm willing to vote TMS.

Did we have someone at the first one?

TMS, if you have the same wincon as ATH, are you also able to replace the mayor? And if your wincon requires you to kill the mayor, why bother theorising about leaving them alive in the first place?

I need to remove the mayor from power and stop a specific criminal. The difference in wording between mine and NQT's leads me to believe that there's more than one criminal at play.

ATH, do you have any idea how you'd go about removing the mayor without killing him given that lynching is apparently our only available tool? And since you don't have anything in your wincon about preventing the mayor being replaced, are you an election candidate?

fillipk, if the oil empire is just part of your flavour, why were you so interested in finding other people with access to oil? In other words, do you like to play with fire?
