Already there are androids being constructed, A.I.'s being perfected and being built better, I foresee a robotic revolt in the near future.

Life Advice / Re: Nyctophobia

I'm kind of afraid of the dark, but I wouldnt go as far as to call my fear a phobia, more like an overactive imagination. How do I deal with it? Other than computers and lights, I just face my fear. But since I don't really have the phobia, I'd say use some lights think happy thoughts, and keep occupied.

Ronin is "a Bushi(Samurai) with no lord or master during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan."

Just saying :>

And sorry, no stories, even tho I had some fun with the early versions, turning zombies into a new stone form, consisting of igneous extrusive layer and rotten flesh.

I know full well what a Ronin is in RL, but in this game they are some form of space Viking/German people warrior things.

Anyway, another story! I was playing another OMA Digger only, and I was facing the infamous Browncoats, right off the bat when I was fighting them, had my head crushed by one who just barely touched me. Another story, I was facing off some more Ronin scum, so after slaughtering a far few of them, I was flying because I was retreating or looking for new foes to slaughter. Anyway, so I actually was flying very much in a rocket like pattern, so I flew right into a Ronin soldier with shotgun in hand, shot it we both crashed into eachother. Bloody mess, I exploded he exploded, I chalked it up as mission successful.

Next story, I was fighting the dread Dummy Legions. Beings of pure EVIL so, they fall very easily to my shotgun rounds, their dropships are destroyed near instantly. After I thin out their numbers, one of them maimed me, so I was bleeding to death, lacking a leg and had my belly tore open, spilling out some innards. So I was essentally bleeding to death, so I broke a dummies digger with my feet, but was shortly thereafter swarmed, and killed. I named the human rocket "Rocard" and the dummy crusher "Jim". Anyone else have any stories to contribute?

Life Advice / Re: Starting out Archery and knife throwing.
« on: October 13, 2012, 12:26:52 am »
Be sure not to accidentally fling the knife backwards into your face eye etc. As not only will that hurt like hell, but it can and possibly will kill you. Keep that in mind.

Isn't a proper knife throw such that you don't actually aim for your own head? or am I thinking of an Ax throw?
If he is holding the very end of the blade with his fingers, it is possible to accidentally fling it backwards to where it will crash into his frontal cranium, and possibly end up in the eye nose or other areas. Basicly, extra caution must be maintained.

One last thing, rounds, segments, turns? Hwat?

EDIT:

And 10 feet to a square indoors, 6 feet for a broadsword, so basically, space required doesn't really matter unless in an absurdly small space?
Space matters if you don't want to accidentally cut your teammates head off. Turns means which side gets to do actions, it's really simple actually... -_-

Other Games / Cortex Command Stories (Warning:May contain epicness)
« on: October 13, 2012, 12:00:12 am »
So Idk where to put this, and I decided to put it in other games since it is a game that goes in the other catagory. I suppose I should start us off, so I was playing OMA (One Man Army) Diggers Only gamemode, and I had my shotgun wielding badass, who I dubbed John go around blowing up some stuff with his Shotgun. More importantly, Ronin (Some type of space German/Viking raider group thing.) dropships and rockets. Suprisingly, the shotgun is OP towards those and exposed flesh, so I went around and took down two of their dropships, then came one of them getting the jump on me. So, I naturally blew his head off, at a cost of my leg, so I continued slaughtering them in great numbers, until one of them got a lucky hit and nearly tore my head off. Fortunately, he got away with only grinding my left eye to dust, and sending me near death, but I went on. I continued slaughtering them, until one of them took my shotgun away from me. Sent it flying all over the place, I went to find it, now lacking one eye and leg, (both being lacked in my left.) I flew off on my jetpack looking for it. Unfortunately, I came across 7 or 8 insane Ronin wielding diggers, and they turned me into a pile of blood and entrails. So, any of you have a story to tell of Cortex Command?

Life Advice / Re: I'm getting a new PC, advice please?
« on: October 12, 2012, 06:25:03 pm »
I'm fourteen, I have no idea how to build a computer (but I will probably study it). I'm getting a prebuilt tower and monitor.

EDIT:
God I haven't seen the llama thing in so long. sorry. What were we talking about?
At least it isn't an arrow to the knee joke. XD
Ahaha..haha...hrm.
Well I don't know how to help you then. Search on Newegg for a PC that meets your requirements.

I can't buy my own PC, because I have no money.  :-\
But, the parents asked me if I wanted one for christmas  :P

They asked me, "What are the specs on a computer that you'd like?

The specs on my current computer are terrible:

RAM: 512MB

Processor: Single-core, 600 megahertz...

Ugh. I can't say anymore. So, yeah. It has to go.

My ideal pc would be one that had Windows 7 (Not vista, vista sucks) 4gb of RAM, an NVidia graphics card, but I don't want to be greedy.

Are specs like this good for what I want? I want a pc that can efficiently play games like COD: MW3, Minecraft, Etc. I also want to run Unity and Blender efficiently, maybe at the same time.
Are you going to be building it? If so I'll gladly give you my rig's specs.

Life Advice / Re: Trying to get somebody alone?

Wasn't that the plot of an Australian Pepsi advertisement on television a while back? ??? Some guy chatting to this girl on the beach, then suddenly there's a commotion out in the water as someone's being attacked by a giant squid or something.
He apologizes to her, then runs off, dives into the water and rescues them. She is suitably impressed as he carries them off to receive medical attention.
Then the scene jumps to show the protagonist, the victim and a guy in a sea monster costume sharing a drink of Pepsi and laughing at a job well done. Sounds like a plan! :D
Actually I was referenceing the game "There's no time to explain" where the future protagonist gets grabbed by a giant crab and the past protagonist has to save the future one. Who then get's nearly devoured by a giant shark, there's no time to explain.

"Quickly, come with me!"

[their response]

"No time to explain, hurry!"

Then whisk them away to some secluded location.

But before you do make sure a giant crab grabs you, and make sure she gets a plasma launcher thing. Make sure this happens -after- you say no time to explain.

General Discussion / Re: Amazingly Stupid Things You've Heard People Say

My brothers girlfriend asked me "Who's Stephen Hawking?" I facepalmed hard that day.
You should roll with it. Say he was some famous general or something, who conquered all of Greece and lost it to the Chinese.
The dirty capitalist Chinese.

But then Greece was freed by the revolution thrown by the uber badass, JFK, who was in turn assassinated by Hitler, who would go on to conquer Germany and create the Holocaust.
But you know, Hitler wasn't all bad. He did kill Hitler.
The Nazis also conducted a bunch of scientific research without harming any animals.
They didn't think of it that way.

The world was shit anyways until George Washington was elected, with his vice-president Abraham Lincoln, and he led the Americans to end WWI and WWII in one fell swoop.
Unfortunately I told her how smart he is, and (indirectly mind you) how stupid and ignorent she is compaired to him. She also doesnt know who participated in WWII and WWI. So I'll give her this weird ass story but leave Hawking out and replace him with Albert Einstein.

Another Cortex story for you today. I was siegeing an enemy and was nearly victorious, but I was out of funds mind you, so I'd have to retreat if this one last soldier dies. So, he was climbing up a snowy hill, and very randomly, died. My last soldier, armed with some pretty powerful weapons, just randomly died on the snow. I don't know what happend that day, but I did think of Dwarf Fortress alot while that happend.

I've never really had an addiction to caffeine. It doesnt make me hyper or anything, when I consume it it affects me like anyother drink. But how's your fight going?
