Yeah, I took a bit of a vacation because I was kind of a shitty person, so if you notice me doing that again, please let me know so I can, ya know, fix that.

Some stains don't wash out.

I think you need to unblend your brain.

Caz!  Caz Caz I remember from back when.  How is it that you're on the list for the game utter nowness?

You're getting hysterical.

A new track by a friend of mine!

Celestric - Rainbows

You can hear some of the resonator sound throughout the track (especially during the drop, although the sound design here is so amazing I don't actually know how a lot of it was made haha)

I really liked this, tell your friend good job :)

I always found the accountability from doing nano with others was what pushed me to keep going (outside of a writing routine, which I haven't had for years). If that's the kind of thing that helped you, maybe a writing group would help?

I'm not going to be able to tell you all apart, am I? Those with no avatar blend together, those with similar color schemes blend together, those with 'dorf' or 'urist' in their names most certainly blend together, and folks like toony and jim just get blended together as people who know the game.

I think you need to unblend your brain.

Finished today, 8 days ahead of schedule at an average of 2,273 words per day.  That makes 7 years that I've completed the challenge in a row, and I hope to continue for the foreseeable future.

This also conveniently brought a close to a section of the solo RPG I was running.  It didn't fully complete the story, which I think will probably end up taking around another 50,000 words, but it brought me a lot closer.

Amazing work Telgin! I only manage to win Nano about 30% of the time, 7 years in a row is impressive.

When does it start? Monday?

Cheering you guys on, unfortunately I am way too busy this year (same as last couple of years, studying just takes up my free time T_T)

Best of luck with your works! Just keep writing!

Might not have used the right term? I mean multi-bed dormitory(/recuperation)-room. And not whole specialist units/departments, if that's what you're thinking.

There certainly is an expectation of these not being mixed-gender (before complicating that in working with trans-gender needs, etc), though apparently not being guaranteed.

(And I don't think I've seen one (other than A&E, which is technically singular cubicles so long as it doesn't overflow into corridors) which hasn't arranged for a male/female split in different areas. Whether that be orthopedics, dementia or wherever else a spare bed has been obtained for the one who requires it. Even as a child (the longest stay in hospital that I ever had, and probably the largest 'open plan' occupancy I've experienced), it was one room (out of several) only of boys, and I must assume that there were girls' rooms elsewhere, with whom I can't remember mixing even in any additional common social area.)

News article on what is being talked about (which says 'wards', so...)

Weird, I've been in hospitals a lot and I've always seen both men and women in the 4-beds. Never even occurred to me that they'd be one gender only.

Vegetable fried rice is goood. Especially when I started making it with TVP (soya flour crumbles)

Rehydrate the TVP in stock, soy sauce, honey and sriracha. The honey is important to get it to brown.

Squeeze out excess moisture. Fry in oil until it starts to char. It can take awhile. I add smoked paprika and garlic powder, and more soy sauce if it needs.

Put aside. Heat a frying pan with oil, fry chopped onions until cooked. Chopped garlic, chillis, ginger. Crack two eggs into it and scramble. Add whatever other veg you want, I just did frozen mixed (peas, carrot, sweetcorn). Add soy sauce, MSG. Add the TVP, however much you want. Sesame oil at the very end.

Could prob live on this stuff tbh.

My second book's prologue and first chapter have released. You do not need to have read the first book to understand it. It has a rather different theme and vibe from the first, but is set in the same universe. Updates will be weekly! https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/74149/stardust-marathon
The second chapter is now out!
Third chapter is out. Surprised I can keep on schedule heh.

Well done on keeping up with it!

Drivers have been warned not to rely on sat-navs for the speed limit on residential roads in Wales when it is reduced to 20mph from 30mph on Sunday.
...or, you know, actually know the rules of the road and be aware what big signs with "20" in a red circle means.

People actually read those?

Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye recently got triggered by U.N. decor because it reminds him of LGBT rainbow symbolism.

The man must be fuming everytime the rain clears up a sunny day

There's literally Christians super angry about the LGBT flag because "rainbows were given to them by god" :D
