So does the second challenge remove woodcutting and mining?
No

Title says it all! i recently made a dwarven badass, after killing like 3 dragons and a BAZILLION bandits, i got a 7 man warband together and now i wanna get some epic shit to do,

Bite someone in the tongue and then rip it off

THEN BEAT THEM ALL TO DEATH WITH IT.

Another idea for a (minor) challenge: Less Meat Challenge.

--Remove all domestic animals and creatures with PET or MOUNT. Cavies and rabbits are small enough that you might make an exception for them.
--Remove all wild, walking, non-vermin animals smaller than a dwarf. Cavies, rabbits, and the like are small enough that you might make an exception for them. Also get rid of the less-annoying birds that are still big enough to give meat.
--Give LIKESFIGHTING to most remaining animals.
--Remove PET_EXOTIC from some of the more common creatures with it.

Ramifications:
-It's hard to get meat, bones, leather, and so forth. You need to trade or hunt dangerous animals for them.
-No milk, cheese, or wool.
-No cats to protect food stockpiles from vermin.
-No guard dogs or the like.

It's an EASY challenge, but a challenge

Good Idea, may implement it.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: Adventure Mode Little Questions Thread

i think for shields its all the same. which humorously enough makes wooden some of the best because of low weight.
What
 :o

I have to seek out elves and get their shields now.

KILL THE TREE-HUGGERS, ALL OF THEM!

Better idea: Dwarf 1 drinks beer, Dwarf One becomes crazed for a short time and punches other dwarves. Or alcohol causes liver necrosis.

I could add a syndrome tag to the drinks, so when consumed they will cause the dwarf to explode.

All of the above.

In adventure mode, the game doesn't have any civs that aren't [CITY], though they appear on the map still, so I was wondering how to enable them.

on a side note, before reading about this, it was incredibly frustrating searching for several minutes for dark fortresses/forest retreats/mountain halls that weren't there.

In the Entity_Default.txt file just change preferred type of citys to hamlets.

What are you talking about, be more specific.

Next release where this bug is fixed?

Oh, I thought you were talking about the mod.

26
I'm in my second year, I have the beginnings of a glass and clay industry and my first axe lord. Yet, I'm giving up. The 'cancel construction due to creature occupying site' bug is too much for me. Particularly considering everything needs to be built. I'll revisit the challenge down the road in the next release.

The next release is already out.

This is pretty cool, but you aren't being evil enough.

Beer syndromes.

Dwarf 1 drinks Plump Helmet Wine
Dwarf 1 Turns into a husk
Dwarf 1 bites the head off brewer 1.

Oh god armok no!!!!!!!

Imported wood.
Strange moods.
Only Strange Moods, you cannot import wood.
Really? That increases difficulty a lot, what with how dwarves will fall asleep wherever, which in my experience tends to include places like aquifers and in front of angry giant badgers.
