General Discussion / Re: Tabletop Games Thread

I think the point of that post was that some people disagree with that new medieval Warhammer expansion.
Not some people, but a lot of them. Also it's not expansion, they "ended" (like, in End Times) old Warhammer FB and replaced it with new one that is dumbed down, has rules that make your army better if you're acting like an idiot, added retarded names for everything (just because some of old ones couldn't be copyrighted) and is generally dash for money.
EDIT: Oh, and it slaughtered previous lore and new one tends to lack any sense.

because the planes flight at always the same speed, regardless of engine performance and weather and a whole lot of factors.  We can try, but success isn't that simple.  night bombing have historically been difficult.
Accuracy hitting the right building was hard, hitting the right town was easy.
It's highly unlikey that our bombers can do any real economic damage to moskurg.
We'd need to be able to drop a million kg of explosives in one raid, that is the level of bombing we need to hurt a city.
Don't we like have an frontline somewhere with trenches and stuff? Why don't bomb their frontlines so hard that their trenches, soldiers, tanks, artillery, everything become one big crater. That would be short-term use, long-term use would be figuring out how to bomb their factories.

Matt Ward proably refused to do Age Of Sigmar because it's too horrible.
I also propose we move the discussion about it here, because people seem to be very damn touchy when it comes to little bit of offtopic, even when nothing else is really going on in the thread.

On the other hand, the whole "Free rules for everyone!" is nice. I wonder how long it'll last, but at least they've stopped paying Ward £10 per codex to lick each page
No.
The only good thing coming out of Age Of Sigmar might be Age Of Slam. Blood Bowl combined with Basketball and Age Of Sigmar.
COME ON AND SLAM AND WELCOME TO THE AGE OF SPELL JAM

Anything that has an "only right" loadout, build, whatever is horrible and people who play it should feel horrible. That's why I avoid "competetive" games (like CS:GO. What's the point of having tens of guns when only few are actually used?), there are munchkins everywhere and only real way to not be considered a noob (and thus, not insulted at every step) is become one of them.
Really for CS:GO? I find that each gun is balanced for what you need, sure you got the people that swear behind the AKs and all the AWP campers but each gun has their own way to play. Hell I snipe people with the SCAR 20 which is considered a worst buy but works well enough for me on clearing lanes.
Well, all those weapons are guns and all of those can kill (pretty quickly, it's CS after all), but some of them are just better, there is reason why people use AKs and AWP after all. If you're playing ranked expect to be screamed, insulted and sometimes votekicked a lot for dying when you take something that's not widely accepted as proper thing, even if it was completly unrelated.

Right now we're just throwing ideas around beacuse apparently everyone agreed on stuff and we're just waiting for turns to advance, but yeah, long range, high alt (turbochargers) bomber might be a nice thing. I am just afraid it will be costly.

Citys can't move so all we need is a good way to guide our bombers.
In the short term lets have the first bombers carry incendiary bomb and use the fire to guide the second wave after darkness falls.
We have radio now (hopefully), we could send scouts that could, like, tell the rest what they did to get over Moskurgian cities. Or something.

That only works at day, and even then landmarks can be hard to find and confusing. On the other hand, we have all these railroads running around, makes for a pretty good map.
You only really have to discover where they have cities once, write down bearing and how long (i suppose we have clocks, right?) you flew in that direction, gg you just got an idiot guide on how to find enemy stuff.

Under AI control khergits are especially crappy, but under player leadership they have far more room for growth with player strategy than any other empire.
It makes me sad that the Rhodoks have the truth of the matter as far as raiding goes- the dumb AI can sit behind things and plink bolts at you just fine, but can't into horse tactics beyond 'CHARGE'.
Rhodoks with the dumb AI are at full strength, khergits are crippled by it.

Has there been any word on max battle size? Better graphics would usually equal smaller battles, especially if they're thinking about a console port.
The graphics aren't really that much better, and you would expect them to have some experience in field of troop number, so hopefully more than Warband.

We should think about stopping Moskurgian Arak trade, (with our planes and our ship, proably) who knows, USA might be happy enough to send us something (like their research, research teams, tanks, guns, anything really).

they'll be scared shitless of us. Remember, this is before 1945 and the deployment of the first nuke. The only negative opinion they'd form about us deploying a nuke is fear. Anger only occurs when they manage to develop their own.
Implying they won't make their own. Consider it would be actually easier for them, considering they will at least partially know how it works, and the rest could be easily stolen.

Depending on the situation outside, you may be giving Hitler The Bomb.
EDIT: Also, it would be very boring ending of the war.
EDIT2: And when it comes to assault rifle, we wouldn't be remotely first. Fedorov Avtomat is considered to be one (it both had intermediate cartridge and detacheable 25 rounds magazine), and it was made in 1915, and there was Italian Cei-Rigotti (~1900) gun that fired similar cartridge but used fixed box magazine, up to 50 rounds. Germans were just the first ones to use them on big scale and the ones who named them.

I hope you can create fake comets over primitive planets to f*** them up.
This would explain EVERYTHING.
