The problem mentioned is that changeitem can't locate items, not that it can't modify them.

Are you using the DFHack console or the command-prompt plugin (Ctrl-Shift-P)?

Is there a reason that libstdc++.so.6 is renamed to libstdc++.so.6.bak? DFHack built with GCC 4.5 requires that file, so renaming it would explain why DFHack doesn't work (unless GCC 4.5 happens to be installed, which is very unlikely on modern systems).
Edit: There's also a report of DFHack in the "x64 LNP DF v0.40.16 (DFhack GCC 4.5.4) (QT5 DT)" build requiring CXXABI_1.3.8, which corresponds to GCC 4.9. Are you sure that you didn't distribute a GCC 4.9 build of DFHack?

Those are Vjek's scripts. I'm not sure if they work with recent versions of DFHack or not, but you're welcome to test them.

Also, PeridexisErrant: The versions of some of my scripts you're bundling are out-of-date (particularly load-screen and settings-manager). I'm not sure how best to inform you of updates, other than watching the repo, but I've seen a few reports of problems with load-screen that I've fixed.

It's left out of the Windows build as well, since #25 hasn't been merged yet.

I believe the issue could have affected other things as well, but the smelting issue was more noticeable (and the only one reported on the bug tracker, as far as I can tell).

Memory layouts are usually generated with DFHack, which requires df-structures to be updated. This is usually done within a day or so, depending on when Quietust and/or Angavrilov run the update scripts.

3383
By the way, you can now disable the DFHack console by setting the DFHACK_DISABLE_CONSOLE environment variable, which could serve as a fallback for xdg-terminal. (Most commands will work through the command-prompt plugin, while some that require a cursor will still work with dfhack-run.)

I put up a build of 0.40.16-r1 at https://github.com/lethosor/dfhack/releases, which uses GCC 4.5. GCC 4.9 builds don't work on systems that don't have GCC 4.9 available (which includes a number of Ubuntu distros).

Oh, Stonesense might require libs/libfreetype.dylib. I don't think anything else needs to be overwritten.

What platform are you using, and what files are in the archive? It sounds like you're using OS X, but OS X DFHack builds shouldn't ship the "libs" folder at all.

OSX | DFHack 0.40.16-r1 with Stonesense
How did you compile Stonesense? I haven't been able to compile it on any platform since the emotion changes in 0.40.14.
Naive happiness patch. It runs, and feels as stable as usual on osx, but that's not too much. :)
Apparently I wasn't watching that repo, so I never noticed that PR. Thanks!

Edit: Also, how did you create that package? It appears from the filename that you used something other than "make package".

0.8 was bugged for graphics pack installations; that binary has been pulled and replaced with 0.8a, which fixes it.

0 (zero) is a coffin in vanilla DF, while θ (theta) is a bed.
