DF Wiki Discussion / Re: Fatal exception of type MWException

If it started last weekend, it's probably related to some maintenance we did then - the wiki had been running on one server (dfweb3) for a while, due to the others breaking, and we just switched back to the others to perform maintenance on dfweb3.

Can you make a version of this for DFHack r5?
Will you be updating the current plugin for DFHack r5, or leaving that for the next release (or later)?
That said, what platform are you on? I can try building for OS X, although mifki will probably beat me to it. :)

I noticed that the Readme link goes to expwnent/dfhack, while the other links are to DFHack/dfhack - is this intentional, and are there any plans regarding the organisation page?
The 0.34.11-r5 branch hasn't been merged back into DFHack/dfhack yet.

I have a working OS X build, which I will upload as soon as I can (assuming danaris doesn't do it first).

Strange. This doesn't happen for me (logged in or anonymously), so it may be a proxy issue. Does it occur only on certain networks?

In any case, my sense is that the plug-in depends on DFHack but not on anything specific to v34.11... so once there is a DFHack for the next DF release, updating the plugin is a simple recompile, correct?
Yes, assuming nothing (major) changes about the renderer.

Somewhat unrelated, but would it be feasible to read the world tile information like you're doing here but during embark? In order to show some sort of topography like that as a preview during embark? This would have a lot of possibilities. Also could do stuff like surface level only prospect findings from embark (or if you want a "cheat" a bit, full depth prospect findings), etc. if you can read tiles at that point in the game.
If you're thinking of pre-embark prospect, that only reads the layers - the actual map isn't generated until the site is loaded for the first time (although it should be possible to display the map of a fortress being reclaimed).

It triggers that thought as well - the "worried not to have adequate protection" thought is only triggered under a specific set of conditions, namely https://github.com/DFHack/dfhack/blob/develop/scripts/siren.lua#L91

Account creation should (hopefully) be working now. Let me or Briess know if you run into any problems with it again.

Minecarts move twice the ore of a regular dwarf <...>
Five times, actually - minecarts can hold up to 5 boulders at once.

Posted a save at the bug report, although it doesn't exhibit the problem of wheelbarrows being unusable.
Gnomeknows: How many rocks were in these wheelbarrows before dumping?

Anything in dfhack.init will be run when DFHack starts, so you can enable tweaks there, for example, to avoid having to enable them manually. Other plugins can be enabled on startup as well - see dfhack.init-example for examples (r3, r4+)

From the wiki:
Quote
Items can occasionally be left inside a wheelbarrow, causing the wheelbarrow to become unusable. This can cause a stockpile to stop collecting items if all of its wheelbarrows end up in this state (Bug 6074) You can work around this by marking the contents of the wheelbarrow for dumping.
If this is the bug report you're referring to, you might want to contact Footkerchief or Dwarfu to get the report re-opened.

Edit: I can confirm that an interrupted hauling job leaves items behind in wheelbarrows, and those items aren't removed upon arriving at a stockpile. However, I haven't been able to make the wheelbarrows unusable - dwarves will still use the wheelbarrows for hauling if they already contain items (even forbidden items).

Edit 2: Can you check to make sure the wheelbarrow(s) aren't forbidden? (When I tested this, it appeared to make the stockpile tile the wheelbarrow was on unusable temporarily, although freeing up other tiles triggered more hauling jobs with a new wheelbarrow.) Is there anything else unusual about these wheelbarrows (e.g. melt-designated, not fortress-produced)?
