Pretty sure those things mostly do, actually. Haven't actually played monster hunter, though, so I couldn't say for sure. The jaw behavior of the majestic dickchicken is not something I'm terribly acquainted with.

With second degree burns
Eeehh, there's cold or room temperature soups. After that safety is dealt with and it's just another liquid (or near liquid) to be debauched.

And no clue, BBG. Would imagine they either haven't progressed enough on that front or it costs less to use a cybereye. Can't recall how far development goes on organ production.

And naaah, it's not really bad, it just looks pretty terrible (or at least much worse than I thought it did, hence the wtf). Not much pain, no trouble moving, just in that period where a bruise is progressing along its path and is particularly unpleasant to look at.

Eeehhh, they're already working on it. First working prototypes were... sometime recent-ish? Within the last five or ten years. Though more funding probably wouldn't exactly hurt the progress, particularly on the affordability front.

... I kinda question how bad that fall must of been to mess up your foot that bad. I've taken less damage falling off of a roof.
Just a bad fall, mostly. Wasn't from any height, just fell over. Hard to land decently when most of your motor control is going haywire. Have been hurt less slamming head first into a concrete floor, heh.

Fell a few days ago trying to stand up. Tore up some skin and apparently bruised the zog out of foot, but other than that wasn't too bad, now that the cause has been addressed.

A somewhat enviable problem :-\

---

Thought process as of two minutes ago: Hey, my foot's starting to look a bit better, bleeding's stopped, the scraped off bit looks like it's healing, just hurts a lil' still. Probably bruised. Let's see! *goes into other room with better lighting looks at foot* *more of the top of the foot is bruise yellow than not* Well... shit.

Pretty sure it's just a hellmouth. Maybe a geothermal vent or somethin'.

Might want to get that looked at. I hear the rates on exorcists aren't too bad this season.

"There are bugs" is also the next ten rules of programming, actually, in increasing font size and intensity of formatting. Rule 10 literally catches fire when you turn the page to it.

You have to turn the page to it because by rule 9, there's no longer room on the initial page to put more words.

Posting because it suddenly seems appropriate.

This was my birthday present from my sister last week:

... so that's a khezu, huh. Seen it before, but never bothered to find out what it's called. Suddenly its inclusion in the happy thread title makes more sense >_>

Duopoly or oligopoly, generally, iirc. Methinks it's one of those cases where having it is bad, but not having it is worse. Kinda' like sickle cell anemia in an area with poor healthcare and rampant malaria.

And no, in the context of the U.S. it means a legally allowed monopoly for a non-state organization. Natural monopoly and whatnot.

The worst part is, the republican voters I've met are, for the most part, friendly, positive, tip their servers, are good parents and co-workers, and are quick to help strangers. Just as I see with democratic voters.
Eeeehhh... I've seen those same folks be all that and then perfectly willing to go beat the shit out of a gay dude if they think they can get away with it. It's... not exactly unknown for folks to really be the nicest, friendliest, most magnanimous people you've met -- right up until they meet someone of the "wrong" color (or behavior, or appearance, or...). "Most part" can be a small tale depending on where the other parts land, unfortunately.

It's almost certainly a regional thing, but probably half the reason I've leaned liberal most of my life is because most of them I've met -- they may hate your guts, but they're going to stand by you getting good treatment, when it comes down to it. Fair government treatment, working conditions, educational access, the list just kinda' goes on. Even if you don't share a lot of ideological points with 'em, fundamentally you and your lifestyle are probably pretty likely to be safe.

Quite a number of the conservatives, well... I've seen the folks come to school with a broken arm, and it didn't happen by accident. The ones that have lost jobs, been shat on hard for their religious beliefs, etc., etc., etc. Most of my life a good chunk of them have literally been trying to turn(/keep) millions of americans into(/as) second class citizens... at best. It's not a phenomenon entirely limited to one side of the political spectrum, by any means, but you can damn sure believe for most of my life it's been a hell of a lot more likely to be coming out of folks voting republican (or even further right).

Lot of other reason I lean that way, but my experience in life has pretty consistently been that there's some more than a little noticeable behavioral difference between folks more likely to vote democrat or republican :-\ Definitely met more than a few conservative folks that aren't like that, and liberal voting ones that are, but so far as likelihood goes... yeah. Yeah. Most days I'd be fairly willing to admit to a dem voter I'm not christian, ferex, all other things being equal. It'd be an incredibly bad idea to do the same to a republican one, around where I live. Maybe not as bad as it was a decade or two ago, but still pretty sodding unwise, in general.
