Corruption in Florida's legal system? Say it ain't so!

Still kinda' curious exactly how that DA got several of the political appointees in the town I was living in out of that pedophilia investigation, though. Like, I get the why, I'd just be interested in knowing the mechanics behind it. Is neat hat trick, if, y'know, morally repugnant.

Yeah. future proofing: at the time of this post. Also, have noticed this is OOCQ thread, now. Future users, you shouldn't be discussing things like this in OOCQ thread also sorry derm, but I've already typed it and am now too lazy to hit back, so it's getting posted anyway ;_;

Or at least not as often, anyway...

Google (3d multiplayer grappling hook airship) seems to think it may be Worlds Adrift.

10955
... the worst thing, I think, is that the perfect response to that would be, "I would pay bail." But it... it's really a rather poor sentiment. Assault charges aren't funny in real life. Still...

Ehehehe, you hadn't noticed, Meph? S'been going on for a fair little bit, just yeah, basically zero english speaking attention given to it. Closest I've seen that involves regular acknowledgement of stuff that's going on down there is reference to BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China, usually talked about as developing/second tier economies, for those that haven't heard of it), which rarely mentions all the stuff besides brazil that's happening, or the stuff they're involved with down south.

S'always been a mite odd how little news manages to make its way up north about 'em, especially positive news, really. Another generation or so, maybe less, and we're probably going to have some very surprised americans and europeans, ha.

10957
Sorta', but it can help to know whether you're looking in SA or europe :P Places share names pretty regularly, unfortunately. Don't think they did in this case, but it's definitely a thing that happens.

But yeah, s'all I'm asking, heh. Will also try to do more than namedrop fresno or somethin' (to pick a US city in cali with a population similar to suriname :V) if I happen to start talking about events going down in 'em, hehe.

10958
It is, it'd just help a lot if you mention the region you're talking about, particularly when you're talking about something tiny :P

10959
They're hiding the real north america, of course. We've actually been the south one this whole time.

Your reply is very characteristic of the USA though, thinking that USA = America. Nope. USA is not even 1/4th of America.
USA is, however, a significantly large portion of the primarily english-speaking part of the americas, and also what gets so much of the proportional english news coverage et al that most of south/central america may as well not exist for all that people are aware of it. Is why I specified english-speaking, yeah. We may not make up all the landmass or population, but you better believe we're taking several dozen lion's shares of the world's general awareness.

... also a total population around a half million is really ruddy small. Folks without the history connection probably ain't going to recognize it, heh.

10961
... suriwhat? *checks* Oh. Some south american country with a population barely worth noting, gotcha. Is probably good idea to mention something about it when talking about tiny south/central american joints, since most english speaking people will otherwise have zero clue what you're talking about, heh. From the context, I actually thought you had missed the EU thread, m'self.

Though... why would a politician in a SA hole in the wall be visiting the Netherlands to begin with? There some kind of history there?

But why did her favorability rating only start to tank in early 2013 while they were relatively stable before. Have you seen the chart?
Probably more than one reason, but there was a point where smears against clinton went from consistent but relatively low frequency to goddamn always, all the time, incessantly, the drum being banged more than the detractors bang their spouses. I don't quite recall when that was, both because it's kinda' blurred together and there's only so much shit I have to give over hearing the same damn thing for the ten thousandth time (with nothing concrete coming of it, of course, again), but it could have been in that ballpark, or at least finally started to have some effect around then. S'a possible contributing factor, at least.

10963
Blue hell RK, or maybe just talk to people instead of going in swinging. There's no defeat to be had, y'all are just trying to friggin' explain your different viewpoints.

10964
... except if you emphasize the first ~half of that sentence, you get pretty much exactly what arx just said; the conservatives are louder because the government has been more polarized, giving them more positions in legislature et al. So it... kinda' is how M characterized it. Just not entirely, and apparently in language that y'tripped up on. Is why ask before going throat spelunking, heh.

10965
Seriously, dude...it's okay to say "I stand corrected," once in a while. Unless you're copping a page from Clinton-senpai and doing the whole "I believe what you believe" thing.
... it's also okay to ask for clarification instead of building a caricature mound over a possible misunderstanding, yeah?
