Have to admit, I'm now wondering if anyone's ran statistics on regional public restroom hygiene in the US. I half think that some group or another has, but hasn't made the findings public because no one actually wants to know hard data on that. Unless they happen to be in the cleanest region, anyway.

Maybe not even then. There's not much point in being king of the hill if you're still inside a crater...

Pretty sure the US has never actually wanted to own any part of south america. That would mean they'd have to have a facsimile of giving a shit about it, instead of using it as a corporate litter box.

Also, gods, considering the time period that would probably have led to just taking over the whole damned continent after kicking the south in the nads, and then you'd be having brush wars between states in 2016 instead of some place no one (that matters, i.e. americans) can find on a map. Th'US avoided exactly what it wanted to.

Though for actual assassins, the tried and true skull talisman works wonders. Most summoning/auto-summon (bottle of living water, etc.) items do, though the skelliespam amulet is easily the cheapest for what it does. 5 death gems and a bit of gold for something that drowns offscript mages in chaff is silly efficient, to the point its use is sometimes agreed to be banned in multiplayer games, heh.

It's consistently warmed back up enough the mosquitoes are back in force.

Fuck mosquitoes. Fuck mosquitoes with a mosquito fucking stick, dipped in tar and doused in napalm.

Eehh... I suppose if you've got an S9 aboleth around to use the spell, it might be... less shit, at least. Until someone gets fed up with it and casts burden of time or somethin', heh.

... yeah, that did it. That... could stand to be made clearer. Significantly.

It. Also appears to only impart the astral levels on the vessel? Though at least those update if the master changes. Aannnnd the mindlessness doesn't protect against insanity.

Good gods, this is. Kinda' terrible? 15 astral for a pretty flimsy insane chassis, that doesn't actually get its masters spell paths, and is basically instakilled by decay effects. I'm not seeing the value of this versus a fish amulet. I guess the slots, but... still. That's expensive for a lot of fancy tissue paper, especially including the gold cost.

... maybe if the slots went both ways? Like, a booster on the androdai bumped up the aboleth's paths, and vice-versa. That'd be neat instead of somewhat... dubious.

Okay, so. Mind Vessel. Does it just not freaking work, or what? I've tried it with every unit R'lyeh has access to in the province. I've tried it with indie shamblers, commander and unit, with indie atlantian militia, with sea fathers, and all it gives me is a GoR-style box with no targets in it. I've even tried with all three different sorts of aboleths, as well as aboleth heroes, who don't even manage to pull up the box.

Am I doing something, or is this thing just bugged to buggery?

But gender-segregated restrooms are so that multiple people can use it at the same time. Does nobody else see a problem with having men and women naked in the same room?
... what kind of place are you living that people strip down before going into a stall or sidling up to a urinal? Alternately, what the buggery is going on that has multiple people sharing the same stall? I mean, besides buggery *eyebrow waggle*

And kinda' ninja'd, but... yeah. Yeah.

Insofar as practicality goes, iirc it would cost a bit to transition the male bathrooms into unisex ones (which would consist of replacing the urinals with proper stalls, which I can't see many men actually complaining about, m'self. Stalls are barely slower and involve a lot fewer creeps staring at your junk.), but that would largely be it. Space wise would be about on par, there's not really much that would need to be done to accommodate women (maybe a bio disposal bin for sanitary products, iirc), and... nothing needs to be done to accommodate men, because urinals are the only thing going on there and they're not exactly needed, nor do they really save much space.

Honestly, so far as stall space goes, unisex would be significantly more efficient in many areas -- it's not exactly unknown for one or the other gendered bathroom to be filled to capacity and the other mostly empty. If overflow can shift as necessary without the current issues involved there, things would be better insofar as that goes. You'd still want (at least) two just for maintenance reasons if it's a venue of any meaningful size, but yeah.

I'unno, I kinda' think thinking of cruz as an idiot is the charitable interpretation. 'Cause if he's not, he's willingly pushing an agenda and spreading vicious lies and misinformation that contribute to giving transgendered folks in the US a fatality rate somewhere in the same ballpark as front-line combatants.

"Idiot" is a fair bit nicer than "murderous lying bigot", imo.

Probably more meat with apple pie thrown in, but... yeah. I don't see what's wrong with that outcome :P

Honestly, those smaller apple pies, like you eat one-handed and fit in a small box... I could see that. Some sort of apple and meat pastry/hotpocket. Probably hand cooked because that coming from a freezer box or over a fastfood counter sounds goddamn terrifying.

Though really, if I were going that route, I'd probably make the apples separate from the rest of them and just slice 'em and put 'em in uncooked, so they're still nice and crunchy. Make sandwiches, basically. Or fruit and meat stuffed rolls, more like -- your average apple is kinda' perfectly sized for a dinner roll or biscuit or whathaveyou. Slice layers instead of section, lay it out like cheese slices over the meat. Kinda' tempting. Or a cinnamon roll with meat slices inside the circle-y bits. Something like that.

*waggles hand* ~2.50 a pound isn't that bad, really, it's just that my normal meals clock in cost wise at something like two fifty flat on the high end, so it's relatively expensive. And delicious.

Though yeah, food costs are often pretty decent in the US, especially in smaller areas. Depends on the product, obviously enough, but there's usually something pretty generous in terms of a cost and quality balance. This was... probably about midrange for that sort of meat? Not rock bottom, but not high-end of the low-end (i.e. common grocery store) stuff, either. Could have got it cheaper, is what I'm saying.

In any case, cost aside, it was pretty amazing. Just have to figure out where to go from here... won't lie, I'm probably going to stick cinnamon in with the apple juice the next time I do this, hehehe.

Pressure cooker'd pork roast with (unfiltered) apple juice instead of water!

Verdict: Holy shitballs. I may have developed a spontaneous psychological addiction. It's very hard right now to stop myself from sitting down and consuming all ~4 pounds of this roast, before anyone else tastes it.

Will be doing this again, oh gods. It's bloody close to perfect; the texture is amazing, the tenderness is just right, and that flavor of delicious apple that suffuses the entire thing is just enthralling. Normally I add sauce of some sort to meat like this but this time it's just too good and I can't stop long enough to put anything on it because it needs to be in my mouth ;_;

And the cooking process was silly easy, just sticking the juice and the meat into the cooker and turning it on, no other steps. Was a little on the expensive side (the roast was ~10 USD for ~4 pounds, which is fairly hefty, and the delicious juice was like... four bucks, I think, for the whole container of it, which I didn't use up by any means), but damn. Worth.

As I noted the last time this was suggested, Y, we actually do have the medical technology to survive a pretty extensive amount of exsanguination these days, especially if properly prepared for it. Chances of the test subject surviving are pretty high, with the proper setup.
