I'm from California, not SC or NC, so, jokes on you. and yeah I meant like BBQ'd hotdogs and hamburgers, or is that way still not workable in the south?
No, it is. Not sure what's going on with NC, but BBQ is both noun, verb, and adjective down here.  Not quite the fuck of culinary vocabulary, but close.

Most of us aren't terribly particular about it. Meat is meat, et al.

Meanwhile, back in the unreality show that is the GOP primary, Jeb Bush tweeted a picture of a handgun with his name engraved on the top of the barrel, and a single word caption: "America".
... am I the only one that sees that as a threat? Jeb's gunning for america, and is going to bust a cap in its ass (just like the bastard did to florida).

Other Games / Re: Tome 4: Tales of Maj'Eyal

So's pretty much every race in maj'eyal :V

Orcs are supposed to be bringing steampunk, and that's quite enough for me.

Happy to help, yeah. Speaking of that...

Spoiler: Another worldgen error (click to show/hide)
Settings were medium/normal/ancient/scattered/sinister/pervasive/random/random/random/random, playing Demon, if that helps any. After continuing, the generation process hung on... something about culture? Near the end of the bar. Couldn't get it to repeat, though I didn't try very hard, heh.

Also treant saplings (lesser nature magic) seem to be costless, as the grey oozes were. They, uh. They also take -1 turns to summon >_> Don't cause any problems when they get summoned, though, apparently. They're just free and take one turn to recruit. I'd be terrified if they actually started showing up in excess of what I ordered, retroactively summoning themselves.*

Definitely looking to those (apparently?) mana node related errors/bugs getting squished, though. They're pretty aggressively killing games in this version, heh.

*Incidentally, idea for possible random event? Idea for possible random event. If you've done much summoning, you could occasionally end up getting a free one (possibly hostile, or whatever the summoning failure causes) showing up in a mess of paradox and hilarity. Bonus points if it got some kind of time travel related trait. Could also occasionally have a summon displace (or clone, perhaps, if displacement would be too annoying) the regiment some turns into the future. Fun thing you could have there if you cloned it is make it so some kind of other event happened if the cloned regiment ends up in the same hex as the original. Maybe have that kind of thing limited to that pyromancer trait?

It looks like it's just to keep the thing from hitting the car on the way in.

TIL steak is a pain to make remotely enjoyable :P

As someone that's cooked a fair bit gluten-free for family (as well as a great devourer of rice, in general), I'll give it's somewhat annoying to make, say, rice bread, but on the confection side of things tasty sweet rice concoctions are really easy and damned delicious, among a whole host of other things. Lotta' grainy stuff you can make with non-gluten products that come out just fine. Bout the worst of it is that sometimes you just don't try to make a one-one equivalent and make something else instead.

but wheat is cheaper than whatever pseudograin they use instead simply because it's produced on a scale orders of magnitude larger
... isn't the "pseudograin" usually defaulted to when avoiding wheat... rice? There could definitely be scale things going on behind the scenes, but last I noticed the store prices rice actually tends to run lower by unit than just about anything made of wheat. There's not a particularly huge price difference, regardless.

Most of the price differential with stuff marketed as gluten free is just price gouging, so far as I'm aware, with a small side of there being smaller/additional production lines. But mostly just ripping people off.

Here. Latest version is in the latest update post.

Double post/bump for another update, pretty quick on the heels of the last one.

Error logs. Not sure if the assemblies have any important info in 'em, so m'just going to have them in the first log and leave 'em out of later ones. They don't seem to change.

E: Got this one, too... seems to be a repeat of the dungeon site one noted for 928.

Besides, don't you guys think Obama would want a break for a while after his term is over? Not that he'll disappear from the political scene entirely.
A post on the SCOTUS is a break. He gets to start acting like a crotchety old man before he's even properly middle-aged.  :P
Just to kinda' nip this, so far as I'm aware Obama has already came out saying he doesn't want a SCOTUS seat (though finding the quote(s) on that have been a complete sumbitch, what with current events). Something about having a distinct disinterest in what the job entails, iirc.

11846
they're actually trying to parlay their intransigence about anything Obama into votes for the election.
... being fair(?), hasn't that been a notable chunk of... pretty much every meaningful republican candidate's campaign, this cycle?* It's sometimes hard to tell whether they're running against a potential clinton or sanders, or obama.

*Well, and probably last cycle, too. Since obama got elected/first ran, really...

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O
« on: February 15, 2016, 08:58:31 am »
Uh. No? It didn't kill anything, hell people were still making maps for Warcraft in 2015 last time I checked. High quality maps, even (turn and grid-based battles a la Heroes 5? Oh yea), and a lot of people have finally stopped "protecting" (DONUTSTEEL) their maps, so now people can hope to steal re-use much more content than before.
The quantity tanked hard once the dota bots finally finished strangling the custom games list, serg. And it was basically the point the major WC3 modding sites started dying a slow death. There's still stuff going on, sure, and some of the community focus points are still there in a sort of technical sense, but it's a long faded shadow of what it was. General interest and overall involvement in the scene took a sharp nosedive shortly after it became a notable PitA to play anything that wasn't DotA.

That just makes it forbidden fruit ♫

Last time I checked the right side of the aisle's at least as into that stuff as the left, if not as open about it. The second half of your statement doesn't follow from the first :P

Oh yeah baby, cite international law as a precedent again....
*screams*
So is that the (entirely too) happy screaming that annoys the neighbors or the other kind that gets them calling the police? Considering the discussion it could be either...

Update! My immediate question trying it out, is if there's anything I can do on my end to log the battle engine's working bits and help figure out why the thing is hanging -- my first game ended a couple dozen turns in to the battle engine flatlining and nixing continuing to play, heh. Had to close it due to it being unresponsive (and its CPU use becoming 0), which led to the main window no longer particularly working.

Already loving the auto-repeat follower command stuff, though, heh. Makes getting off the ground if you've got a dungeon nearby much easier/less micro-heavy, which is very nice and makes it so you can afford to be less aggressive (or at least not have to click so much to do so, heh.). Haven't tried the auto-buy for building materials thing yet, all the games have crashed before I could get the resources to try to build one I wanted to build (i.e. the jewelry guild :P), heh. I'll have to give it a go with a marketplace or somethin' next time I play.

... I really should probably be doing this in the mantis or the dedicated forum, but... making new accounts, keeping track of them, etc., etc., etc. Selectively lazy :V

Finally caught an error message! Mostly seems to just break the next turn button/turn processing, keeping the game from continuing. Pretty sure it's one of the ones that nixed one of my playthroughs last version, too.
Spoiler: Error log (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Caught a second one! (click to show/hide)
Didn't think to trying continuing on that one, though, just quit straight from the error box, since it's getting late-ish.

Anyway, only playing three games tonight, due to things to do tomorrow. Hope that helps track some stuff down, and I'll hopefully have more to offer in a day or two :D
