P, you've said yourself the main reason you fixate on LoL is pretty much specifically so you have something to complain about. That's pretty much textbook hooliganism, just replace LoL with "Name of primarily disliked sports team". It's not a matter of whether the side being fixated on has done awful things or not, it's about how the person in question is acting in regards to them.

Case in point, does what you're talking about have absolutely anything to do with the discussion that was brought up here? Pretty much nothing you've talked about since you bludgeoned your way into the thread again has had anything to do with the point that was being discussed, nor are you really saying anything substantiative about the game itself (and that hand in hand with parroting stuff that's somewhere between gross misrepresentation and outright lies).

Near as I can tell, it's basically the equivalent of football hooliganism/sports team obsession/etc. It's not really an artifact of playing a certain amount of DotA2 as it is just certain folk's personalities.

If HoN (or HotS, or whatever) was all that existed for an alternative to DotA 2, you'd probably see the same behavior. In this case, it's mostly focused on LoL largely just because LoL's the main competitor/largest alternative.

So what do you do in the USA anyways when the watchmen self defence themselves on your face?
Hopefully win the civil case, assuming you're still alive. If not, well, maybe your family can afford to prosecute and at least get something for your next of kin/cover medical/funeral costs.

yo i'm actually willing to dispute that "AoS knockoff" thing

AoS was more like Alien Swarm or something than Dota, it was a co-op game with no abilities or nothing IIRC, starcraft wasn't really built for that
... putnam, DotA was called an AoS. The entire genre of maps of similar game type were called AoS maps. The original AoS was indeed somewhat different and limited by SC's map engine (iirc, the dynasty warriors stuff that preceded it was a bit closer to later AoS maps, being PvP, and there were a few SC custom maps that had the same setup but PvP -- even a few with special abilities, if hella' clumsy to activate), but the progression from it to the WC3 AoS maps including DotA, its knockoffs, and the other AoS maps is... quite clear.

The original AoS map was basically DotA without abilities (or rather, the initial "abilities" was the ability to upgrade your unit, along with whatever native special bits the unit had) or PvP, with a bit of spice up on the computer side to make things more interesting. Three lanes, large amounts of minions, win/lose condition loss of buildings, player focus on individual units (heroes)... the influence is bloody clear. Alien Swarm shares very little with the original AoS map's design principles and general style, being closer to one of the survival/arena maps.

And the community, holy hell, skill-based matchmaking is an absolute godsend for communities.
Naaah, what's made the difference more than anything in community atmosphere between the original DotA and the derivatives that have showed up on non-WC3 engines has simply been the inability to kick/blacklist (and to an extent, talk at all to) people pre-match, as well as not having to download the map (or at least not showing it). There was absolutely nothing about WC3 AoS maps, DotA worst of all, that poisoned a game more than those features. Easily accessible mute buttons have also been blessings and a half, ha. Matchmaking's probably helped a bit, but I'd attribute platform differences and whatnot substantially more than that, m'self. Developer endeavors have also made a fair bit of difference.

Though mind, the modern AoS knockoffs generally aren't really that much better. Just better. Somewhat.

It probably has a fanfic behind it. And if it doesn't, a fanfic inspired it at some point.
Some of it probably does, but splatoon porn is just generally pretty prolific. It's really not even that surprising, considering the game's elements.

And nah, DotA2's about as bad, community wise. DotA itself was worse, and also what basically killed one of the most prolific and impressive player content creation communities the world has seen.

I honestly don't recall if I ever lost against Beginner Bots or not.
I've been in co-op vs AI matches against beginner bots where my team lost.  Sometimes you can actually 1v5 them, sometimes you... can't. Especially when the rest of the team was bad enough they'd been feeding the bots most of the game. It's a fairly hilarious thing to see, honestly. Intermediate bots are actually decently vicious, and notably better than a number of human players, heh. They're indeed exploitable once you're used to them, but so are humans :V

And no, the stuff P's stuck on (for the Nth time, while no doubt continuing to have never actually played LoL) doesn't really make much, if any, difference, in practice, from what I've seen playing both games.

Being fair, I probably haven't played as much DotA2 as LoL at this point (though I've probably played more DotA than either, to my regret), mostly because the former runs (save for load times, anyway) and looks a lot worse on this computer than the latter.

it won't look good if it refuses to go on a single recess just to keep him from appointing a Justice, and there are a lot of GOP seats up for re-election in swing states this year.
It... doesn't matter if obama appoints a justice during a recess? They still have to be confirmed once the senate is back in session, if my understanding isn't entirely wrong, and we can be fairly close to assured that's not going to happen this year. Something along those lines, anyway.

Because this is an unambiguous improvement to the quality of jurisprudence in the United States.
Or at least possibility for improvement.

On the other hand, odds are fairly good we won't find out until 2017, soo...

I guess the 4/4 split instead of 5/4 for the rest of the year'll probably be interesting, though, and an improvement at least for that period.

there's a difference between keys and The Keys, rol :V

Also no one goes to The Keys, either. Too expensive.

The (truncated, I'm only doing vehicles*) Inventory of the Keys has progressed! Have so far identified five (5) keys that go to absolutely no vehicle currently owned by the people who own the keys. What they go to, nobody goddamn knows.

On the less confusing side, all the keys that do go to something are now friggin' labeled.

On the more confusing side, there's at least three vehicles out there that currently do not seem to have keys, at all. I guess some of the family does know how to hotwire stuff, but...

*Because there's by weight a small child or two worth of other ones and to blue hell with that.

In a sort of conceptual, interchangeable sense.

Also, I thought that name sounded oddly familiar. Lady was also in the final episode of star trek voyager. Make of that what you will.
