J... just to be sure, you do know that jelly and jam are two different things, right? And that the former is significantly more common in many places in the US?

Jelly does tend to be the catchall instead of jam, which is basically treated as a subdivision of jelly-like-things, but people are actually capable of differentiating between them in the states, most of the time. There's just not terribly regular need, since jam's often a bit less used.

Improvement it is not. Well, maybe in places with reasonable weather. Not anywhere near the equator. Days getting longer means hell's coming back into full swing.

Y'know, I didn't really ken to the possibility of it until I actually saw it, but apparently bacon soda really is a thing. Didn't actually try any 'cause carbonation and me don't get along too well these days, but... it was there. Seems like someone else in the family walked off with it, too, so now the chance is gone.

You lie! The republican party has staunchly pressed forward in persecuting a program for culling the arboreal hordes, regardless of the negative consequences! They'll damn the ecosystems of the entire western hemisphere to defend the logging prospects of upcoming graduates! Vote red to see the trees dead!

Which is fairly common, so far as I'm aware. You pretty regularly hear about folks booked (at least in part) for weapons carry or violating probation for similar reasons. Debatable how much that's a good thing, considering it's often in regards to folks that are otherwise non-violent or didn't commit other law violations, but it happens.

Cooked proper-ish breakfast. Is delicious. Eggy rice with cheese and chopped up teriyaki doused steak. Bit of bacon bits and pepper added. So good ;_;

That would be most of it, yes. Concealed carry permits also apply to weapons that aren't guns -- technically, if you're going to be toting a pocket knife of any meaningful size (which a lot of people do in more rural areas, because the things are damn useful), you require a CCW permit to do so legally in many states.

Now, basically no one does for that reason, and there is a shit ton of people in a lot of states that can be brought up on charges for that at pretty much a moment's notice, but it's another reason to have one.

Uh... huh. It... looks like, if anyone out there was interested in the remake/update for Avernum 2, the complete spiderweb bundle is somehow going for a buck less. Just a heads up, heh.

Some of them, sure. There'd be both light (jedi healers) and dark (sith alchemy) side techniques that could manage that, and probably weirder stuff, too.

I'unno about you AC, but when the freakish alien thing is crafting meat dresses, I'm going to act like it's amazing so I don't end up as material for the next one. Positive encouragement means they're less likely to eat you and wear your arse as a hat. Hopefully.

What if a stealthy droid assassin were to employ a flamethrower against a Jedi meatbag?
Dunno if it's what they used, but there was a droid bounty hunter or two with several dozen jedi kills under their belt, iirc, not even talking the meatbag yammering one. They've obviously got something that works :V

Gamewise, anyway. Insofar as the canon-ish stuff goes, just about anything can be used to kill force users -- plenty, even very strong ones, are killed in straight up 1v1 situations by non-force sensitives with a blaster or just whatever, nevermind things actually stacked against them or fun stuff like orbital bombardment -- it's just significantly more difficult than it would be against someone that's not a trained user. They're quite kickass, but there's a reason armies and special forces and whatnot still exist in a universe crawling with force sensitives and other weird stuff.

And yeah, there's stuff in the universe that just flat no-sells lightsabers and most direct force counters (dodging or TKing the weapon itself might still work, ferex). Pretty sure sonic weaponry worked like that, amongst other things. The sabers and force sensitive critters get played up more than a little due to narrative, honestly. Y'gotta' remember that jedi got slaughtered pretty much en masse by freaking droidikas, nevermind the stuff that was actually vaguely competent. Impressive buggers, pound for pound, but most of their really notable work was via social-fu and whatnot. Even a lot of the sith stuff was about non-combat (or at least combat-via-proxy) applications. They were at their best as force multipliers rather than direct combatants, more or less.

Neat thing is it's not exactly impossible Binks is still alive for the new stuff -- he'd be quite old by gungan standards, but even without advanced tech, sith alchemy, or varying lightside techniques for extending lifespan, he could still be kickin'. And that's discounting the good ol' force ghost/possession stuff that resurrected the occasional sith several centuries after they died the first time. And hell, thanks to the existence of palpy's cloning shit laying precedence, even if he did die, there's no guarantee it actually stuck, even without more standard possession shenanigans. Some rock tucked away in the ass end of nowhere could have thousands upon thousands of jar-jar clones in stasis, just waiting for activation.

... also, y'know, I'm not saying anything one way or another, but iirc gungan tech was pretty organic, and there is a major player later in the starwars timeline that has a lot of that going on. Connection?

Eehhh... lotta' dudes in this area, anyway, that walk around with some fairly notable gemage, usually in rings. Ones that actually have any money worth note, at least. Do tend to be the darker stones -- rubies et al -- but there's still sparkle that matches or outdoes the ladies, at times. Seems fairly common for masonic type wuzdingers, as an example -- some of the groups like that've got fairly sizable stones as part of their normal wear, and the blighters more or less infest a number of places.

Definitely different framing, though. Seems a lot like better off guys are supposed to wear sparkly shit, but they're supposed to downplay it or somethin', whereas the ladies are completely unsubtly encouraged to bling the buggery out of themselves. Kinda' weird, honestly, paying marginal attention to the phenomena.
