J... just keep an eye out in the fall/winter. Depending on where you are, I guess. 'Round these parts, you occasionally have jellyfish come in on the tide in the later parts of year.

... and, like. Not a small amount of jellyfish. Was on the beach at one point when the tide came in and brought with it... several thousand jellyfish. Including one that was bigger than I was at the time. Something like one jellyfish every two or three feet of water (both above and below, mind. volumetric jellyfish nightmare) across several hundred feet of coastline.

Not the most pleasant memory of the sea I have, aha. ha. ha.

Compare it to things like Diablo 2, where there was no in-game chat moderation whatsoever beyond your ability to mute people. I don't remember any problem with 'toxic' chat behaviour on that game, or on many other online games like it. If anyone started spamming or similar, people just muted them and got on with their lives.
... we must have had very different experiences with D2. Every time I tried to get into the multiplayer (several times, over many years) the other people involved basically ran me out of the game. Was incredibly miserable, even worse than the hack-ridden mess that was D1. And it got worse as time progressed, even as blizzard fixed up some holes in the program that made griefing easier. My experience with LoL, things have actually improved in terms of general atmosphere since they started in with the heavier reporting and whatnot. Not much, because this is still competitive online multiplayer we're talking about, here, but some. Which is significantly more than I can say about the MP games I've touched that were effectively hands off.

Being fair, I don't exactly play LoL very often or particularly consistently, so it's entirely possible I've just lucked out playing on better days or some crap. Still, the concept that just relying on the mute feature alone actually does absolutely anything is vaguely farcical to me. People that can't shit talk you will just jump up and down in your face, or whatever the equivalent action is for that game.

... yeah, I'm sure "just mute them" has worked in the past to promote improved community behavior in games.

Except it hasn't, of course. Pretty much ever, since the early dawn of online multiplayer and the first nascent implementations of the feature. Agree with the methodology or not, pretty much every large community we've seen kick off that "report culture" has seen improvements that don't happen when all you have is a mute button. Players never needed any encouragement to try to win arguments, and the stuff that's being done nowadays at least puts a slight cap on how aggressively they get pursued.

... anything except dragons. That's more or less my only major preference. Other than that it all depends on the nation and what you're trying to do.

I wasn't bullying you! What could possibly lead you to think that?
The towering girth of your sacreds, and their presence anywhere on the same planet. That's what :V

... huh. There may have been black tiles or something involved when I played it ascii? Memory seems to be suggesting that, now that I think about it, but it has been over a year. I can't recall it being a problem, though, if that was what was going on and I'm not mixing it up with some other mod. It's ascii, an empty void is about as distinguishable as anything else.

Was pretty alright the last time I played it. Wasn't forced graphical tiles, at least not then. I'm not even sure how you'd force graphical tiles in a DF mod...

Bloody hell, sites like JSTOR have to be the least user friendly ones I've ever seen. I mean, I get they're designed by scholars, but really.
They are not. JSTOR's actually fairly friendly compared to some things I've seen, at least back when I was using it. Mostly job search websites, followed by a lot of news sites et al (though the latter mostly because they're so cluttered with shit they both drag down your computer and are functionally unnavigable). There's this lovely one I've been dealing with a little lately (due to something like a quarter or more of jobs in this area forcing applicants to apply through the site. Why? Because fuck you, that's why.) that makes it basically impossible to have two instances of the site up at once, i.e. you can't open up two listings at the same time. It is quiet near the absolute worst design choice I have ever seen in a website. There's a few situations where that's excusable (mostly involving games and the occasional official test or whatnot), but a site that's primarily about job listings is something like the ur-example of one where it's not.

... in actual wtf news, today dream brain decided I wanted to know what its estimation of a toilet bowl full of peed in water tastes like. Why, dream brain? Why? I didn't ask for this, and it wasn't something I wanted to wake up to. Did not like, please do not do again.

I still kinda' remember the first time I got glasses, way back in elementary school, after a good couple months of what I thought were inexplicable and fairly terrible headaches. World looked... so very different. Everything so crisp, so sharp. The subsequent lack of daily knockoff migraines was a relief and a half. That moment when you realize that everything past a few feet isn't supposed to be increasingly blurry and regularly intensely painful and, even better, there's a solution is... it's something.

For folks with good vision that want to see kinda' what the experience is like... go on youtube. Load up anything in particular that's hd capable, preferably something involving foliage or animals or along those lines, then set the resolution to 144p. Watch for a few minutes, and set it to 1080. That's about what putting on properly adjusted glasses for the first time is like, except before that 144p was the only thing you were aware existed and watching would inevitably induce near blinding pain. Also you couldn't really turn it off. It's a helluva' thing.

Also pretty much any bit of residence care you care to care about you can find info about fairly easily online. Same with personal maintenance, really...

It'd be playing a high action game of The Floor is Lava Mushroom. I can see nothing wrong with that.

So I think if you put regular marshmellows in a food dehydrater (ingredients with standing) you'd get the same thing effectively.
Could see that working, I think. Closest I've seen going by way of regular marshmallows are ones that are just incredibly stale. Follows that dragging all the water out would come to a roughly similar outcome.

...why not just buy regular marshmallows?
... I've yet to notice commercially available marshmallows that have the taste and, especially, the texture/consistency of lucky charm (cereal in general, really) marshmallows. Regular marshmallows just aren't the same. Which would be why you'd buy a box full of cereal marshmallows instead of the regular fluffy ones.

Hasn't changed from what you first posted.

Though, uh, that said, you probably want to change that manga link, now that I actually check to see where it's going. Forum ToS is pretty explicit about linking to illegal material, and that includes pretty much all scanlation.
