Yeah, it's just doing the super-powers powered by orgasm thing, without even having the modicum of decency to have it power giant robots. Initial impression is it's pretty much entirely without worth, even as mocking material. Except as only barely soft softcore porn you might be able to trick your parents into buying for you, or something like that.

... you probably shouldn't. Thing just straight up violates the forum ToS in under ten minutes. Tits everywhere, overt groping, etc.

Was kinda' curious when it was mentioned originally, because, y'know, initial looking didn't say it was outright porn, but. Might as well be. Literally the only thing it's lacking is mosaics.

... so abra(ha)m is... apparently a rapist and willing to stand aside while his wife tries to murder the pregnant mother of his bastard child. That. That's great, I guess. I think I can see why I forgot details of that particular story.

Are we actually trying to defend this guy's character or something? Because I'm not exactly seeing arguments to the positive. Dude was a slave owner (or at least married to one, and condoning the abuse and effective murder of slaves, which is at least as bad), a rapist, and willing to throw his child's mother out into the goddamn desert, apparently to die. Whether the dude actually intended to kill another kid is kinda' irrelevant at that point. Pretty much hit full bastard before that. He already explicitly let his wife try to kill the first one.

Honestly, looking at that, it seems a lot more likely to me the guy did intend to kill isaac. Fellow pretty obviously does not give a single solitary shit about his kids.

... spacehulk clone is... not how I'd describe Bionic Dues. The games play pretty much nothing alike outside of being turn based, and about the only other point of resemblance is maybe that they both have a primary party of four units? Otherwise they're pretty substantially dissimilar on basically all accounts. Very much different games.

... would mean there's at least two madoka games, though. There's also at least a pretty interesting beat-'em-up style (iirc) one floating around, too. Pretty sure it's a doujin game instead of official, but it's out there. Can't recall the name.

Eehh... it aggravates acid reflux, especially if it's carbonated. Is why I've more or less stopped drinking caffeine entirely. Maybe soda or tea two or three times a year, but that's been about it for the last four or five. Like said, first week was pretty rough, but after that overall energy levels actually went up :-\

Depends a lot on the person, really. Some folks don't even blink, some have problems for quite a while. I was still feeling it about a week after I cut caffeine out of my diet, but it was never terribly intense for any of, just mild headaches, unusual amounts of lethargy, etc.

I'd be terribly concerned if you had watched fraken fran, considering it doesn't seem to have received an anime adaptation :P

S'got (a completed) manga and an audio drama, near as I could tell, but nothing animated.

Still. Can't actually recommend it, due to its content, but I will say it's pretty much the only guro-style/focused piece of media I've actually enjoyed experiencing, pretty much ever. If you can stomach that sort of thing, it might be worth having a go at.

This just clicked for me. You're telling me Jack Black is basically Franken Fran but with class warfare instead of horror and sadness hilarity?
Fixed~

... there is such a thing -- there's a handful of medical conditions that coffee (caffeine in general, really) can be sincerely bad for, and it can be a complete bastard to get people who are addicted to it off, even in the face of, y'know, keeling the blazes over dead.

Can't say about it being safe to joke about.

But when did this become the American Intervention thread? It seems like every time I come here it's about war. Why don't we have an intervention, so it doesn't infect the regular politics thread? Don't we, in fact, have a thread such as that?
If we do, I didn't notice it. Closest I can recall would be the ISIS thread, which I don't think generalized beyond that.

... also, hate to tell you, but war is part of the states' regular politics. It's constantly part of the rhetoric, it's steadily an issue both for the presidential candidates and others, and we haven't stopped bloody intervening since before anyone here was born. I can't really think of a better place than the ameripol thread to talk about the military side of american politics, which is a major bloody part of our country's political landscape.

E: Though the thought did occur to me it might not be as big a deal in your area, misk. Iirc you're up north, where there's comparatively less military involvement in the general population. For those of us in areas where the larger chunk of recruitment is going on, it's probably notably more prevalent.

Well, the folks in question were trying to get the US to acquiesce to said investigation. What's significantly more likely to happen to that is the US will tell them to shove it up their arse and suck down whatever BS story the states ultimately end up settling on, assuming they don't just leave the ones already laid out in confusion and call it a day. S'how it usually goes.

There probably won't be an independent investigation, if there's an actual investigation at all and not one that exists in name only (or even that much), the facts won't be got straight, and nobody will be prosecuted. If anything happens differently than that, it'll be a surprise.

I mean, has anyone ever encountered a problem with Mozilla Firefox?
Yes? I used to end up with it crashing pretty regularly. I still have it inexplicably splorp out while doing things, these days, and I don't even bury it in tabs anymore (that's what Opera's for, heh). There's no one browser, so far as I've noticed, that is actually in entirely good standing. Some (IE, Chrome :V) are just worse off than others.

Can depend a fair amount on the computer they're on, too, for what it's worth. Sometimes a particular browser will just more or less soil itself when encountering a particular hardware/software setup.

... you think there's actually going to be an independent investigation, especially one that anyone involved will listen to?

So what exactly is wrong with vanilla Civ 4?
It's not as good as modded Civ 4. That's what's wrong with it.
