Perhaps hobo chic has been catching on in their area?

"A pardon extended by the government to a group or class of persons, usually for a political offense; the act of a sovereign power officially forgiving certain classes of persons who are subject to trial but have not yet been convicted."

Fiorina goes *there* and implies Planned Parenthood harvested organs from fully formed fetuses while they were still alive O.o That sounds so much like fearmongering that I'm not sure it's accurate.
Talking about that incredibly doctored film that set off the latest round of trying to wreck women in america, she was, probably. It's actually a pretty beautiful piece of editing, taking 9 minutes out of a three hour bit of video and making it say a complete and utter fabrication. It is indeed fearmongering, and not just fearmongering but straight up lies.

Amusingly(?), there's a portion of the house is intent on causing a government shutdown over that particular bit of vicious and entirely invented slander.

... nah mate, you're saying literally the exact same things, right down to the I Told You Sos and bringing up articles about drug dealers refugees doing whatever you claimed they were going to do at some point earlier. It's not just tone, the claims, the evidence... you're pulling a dead ringer, intentionally or not. And hell, the crow man rant was even picture perfect for stuff that people said about obama. There may be difference in the situation, but from your example there's not a difference in how people are reacting to it. Resemblance really is uncanny, heh.

Can any Floridians fact check whether Trump wanted to build casinos in Florida as Bush claims and Trump denies?
Trump did hire someone to lobby for loosened gambling laws down here, apparently. Multiple times, by the look of it -- Ballard in '13, some guy named Horne at some point before that. Maybe more. Also commented at some point that if casinos were a thing, some of his properties would be good places for 'em. Straight up said that if miami didn't do casinos, it would be a "terrible mistake".

It's pretty safe to say trump's expressed interest in wanting to get some gambling businesses up and running in florida.

... are you intentionally trying to channel the US conservative movement, LW, or is it just incidental? 'Cause I swear I hear the exact same word as you're saying come out of the mouths of people talking about mexicans and obama pretty regularly, to the point it's becoming vaguely unsettling. It's like watching Orson Scott Card talk about homosexuals, except british and talking about islam. Damnedest thing to watch, actually, now that I've noticed the incredibly uncanny resemblance. Please don't start writing about weird naked pre-salat wrestling.

Other Games / Re: gauging interest for an adventure mode-like roguelike.
« on: September 16, 2015, 06:40:04 pm »
... well, there's obviously interest. Adventure mode style roguelikes/rpgs are fairly often mentioned in quite a few places as something folks would like to see.

The question of whether there's commercial interest is a significantly different one, though, especially if there's not already some kind of demo/teaser project available for perusal. If you're trying to get money from it, presentation is probably going to be a pretty serious issue, arguably even above and beyond the mechanical aspects. Without some kind of name or reputation, you'll probably do substantially better on the funding front if you've already got something to show off -- people are honestly fairly fed up with promises that go nowhere. They want to see something before the judge, heh.

Ok, and how are you going to make a working filter for this? If you started outside Uckland you can come in, but if you left from it you can't come back?
I'unno, the filter folks complaining seem to be wanting is "IfMuslim=Refuse." S'obviously not a working filter, but what can you do?

@Grak, I can only assume it's not so much that they can't, as they won't, since that would likely entail they'd have to start doing the same thing to their sanctioned paramilitary types that do basically (and in some cases literally, going back into the past) the same thing. States, ferex, would have to be kicking out a lot of (ex-)military and current/former security agency types if they were going to throw out everyone that's fought alongside or otherwise aided an islamic radical insurgency group. And europe's groups aren't exactly squeaky clean on that field, either, heh.

4-5 hours left until we've got a stale, I think. Maybe a precautionary extension?

Yeah, there's going to be a good few more, I do believe. We've still got 'till february or so for the actual primary voting to start, and they don't stop until june. E: And the actual general election isn't until november. We've got over a year of this shit left.

Zog if I know, m. I'm still having trouble of thinking of the word corbyn as anything but a bird. And I'm quite sure I'm getting it mixed up with some sort of corvidae, so the guy's nothing but crossed memory wires to me. Someone should send the man a crow suit so I can stop being confused.

... 'course, the thing is, PMMM could be stuck whole-cloth with no translation into a fair amount of mahou shoujo and not really stand out that much. About the only difference between it and a number of other played-straight magical girl shows is focus, not really content or construction. Everything about it, from the deaths, to the cosmology, to the various critters, could slot in to something like Sailor Moon with barely a blink.

Mostly due to the fact that a lot of magical girl shows are frank fridge horror waiting to be noticed, heh. SM's just one of the ur-examples, what with the whole planetary-scale genocides and universe destroying entropy beasts and whatnot. It'd be pretty easy to turn it into something that out madoka's madoka, as plenty of the fanfiction displays :P

Presumably whatever counts as the establishment in the respective political system.

For what it's worth, the article reporting on it has updated with information that no charges will be pressed and the case has been closed. It's not exactly worth much, but at least the cops and administration are not continuing to pursue the farce to an even greater degree.

Hey, just find a candidate or political organization that's lobbying for increased use of railgun tech in space travel (or other venues). Then you can be on topic :P
