... not quite sure what the difference between a computer controlled car and an electronic one is, anyway, if the former isn't self-driving. What do you even mean, neo?

Eeehhh. They're fairly substantial fatigue damage, which is conceptually good, but they're also range 8, do no actual damage, are MR Resists in a game where most things have high-ish MR, I think mitigated by poison resistance, somehow, and I think all of them are on hoburgs in this game. So, uh. They're possibly not bad? Good might be stretching it, I'unno. Haven't actually done much testing with the things. Would probably recommend throwing up a test game (maybe on talis, to make hitting formorian dirt quick) and seeing what happens.

PS: They can jump over the river. But you'd better have something to scout beforehand, or you might attack a capital ;)
With a ship full of sacred giants and a doom giant commander, that may just end up with a new capital province :P

Thank you for reminding me how I can get the sea provinces ;)
Fuckberries
... caesar has native gift of waterbreathing commanders. Their doom giant ones, even. No need for undead, the sacred giants can jump in the sink just as well :P

All the sacred giant nations have that, actually. The commander versions all have gift of waterbreathing and can cheerfully take 50 worth of anything into the water with 'em. The ubiquity of water access for ~half the nations in the game is one of the interesting things about it! And by interesting, I mean one of the reasons they're going to crap all over the rest of us :V

E: For extra bonus points, they've all got sailing, too. Trying to hold anything along the river is going to be a complete nightmare, ha.

Considering we haven't tapped the pits for easy thermal energy yet, obviously not enough.

You can certainly manage it via magic sites, at least.

... ten bucks online, that is. Huh. They also appear to make toothpaste, among other things. That... kinda' wonder if it sells in this area, just to see what it's like. The packaging is certainly hypnotic.

... you know, it is only turn two, EA... :P

... being fair, it wouldn't be that much of a mismatch to shove madoka into sailor moon canon. Sailor Moon's backstory and greater plot and such are all kinds of fucked up. Could cheerfully fit bleedin' lovecraft into that mess, nevermind something as minor as madoka's stuff. Which would probably even slot right in with the silence and whatnot.

Don't underestimate sailor moon, OW. It's actually pretty nasty in a lot of ways.

Work burnout can't really be adequately measured in suicide rates -- there's a potential correlation, but work burnout results in quite a few other things (including, but not limited to, job shifts, un and under employment, homelessness, various sorts of non-fatal physical issues, simple decreased productivity... there's just sort of a sundry list) and not to equal degrees, while suicide has significantly more contributing factors, some of which are both contributing factors to and results of work burnout. It's a bad measure that won't even remotely manage to adequately track instances of work burnout.

You'd want some kind of conglomerate measure if you're aiming for adequacy -- several things tracked and weighted appropriately, probably on a graduating scale instead of yes/no. Suicide could be on the list, but you're not dealing with a chicken and egg scenario, you're dealing with a dozen different chickens and eggs with no clear connect as to which direction the incubation is occurring. Trying to simplify things is just going to create a (badly) distorted picture of what's happening.

Here's a thought: Declare Assad illegitimate due to crimes against humanity and straight up give Syria to Putin. Maybe temporarily until a stable government can form, maybe just go "Screw it, you're part of Russia now." Why? Well, he's already got folks there, and stiffing him with the proverbial bill could result in rather amusing reactions. Plus an opportunity to show the rest of the world how to properly deal with a destabilized country! Think of the PR, ahaha!

Good idea or best idea?

... method of election is fairly irrelevant to capability as a leader, in any case. A tyrant can be supremely capable, and a person chosen by direct democracy impeccably inept. How they get in office doesn't really matter much, barring the extent which that process reveals their skill.

Being unkind to both of them, the month or two old kitten living outside my house would also probably make a better leader than trump, so it's not really saying much. It has a substantially better personality and appearance than either of them, and would likely make at least as good a policy as trump. Plus its diplomatic skills would probably outstrip trump's while the kitten was asleep. Like, literally asleep, as kittens are totes adorbs when unconscious, and that's far more than the half-bald asshole with a hardon for burning bridges could manage while awake.

For extra bonus points, we call something else chips, too. Crisps, I think they're called in the UK? No clue if there's variations on that elsewhere. Though not-fries!chips are nice, too. Just somewhat difficult to home cook.

PEOPLE, DO NOT FORGET THE WORDS OF THE TRINITY; BOIL EM, MASH EM AND STICK EM IN A STEW
Also very good! It's tricky to get the potato to stew ratio down right when you're dealing with mashed ones, but once you do you end up with a thicker stew that is just amazing. Not too far from mashed with gravy, just sorta' in the other direction. Hard to describe, but I actually do something very similar with regularity to noodle bowls. Is step one of turning barely satisfying noodle dish into filling meal of deliciousness.
