Mm... my preferred baked potato is with it sliced in half, cross-hatched, and then drizzled with teriyaki sauce. No butter, no sour cream, no peeling, eat it by hand. Sometimes some cheese melted into it. Occasionally with ketchup or BBQ sauce ^_^

That's just baked, though. There's a lot of different ways to cook potato :D

Papa Nurgle loves you, and everyone else.

Perhaps we should have a debate on the best way to cook potatoes. The best part about such a debate being it's a trick -- there is no singular best way to cook potatoes, only many different paths to great spudness.

Presumably to aid you in wooing all the fine jewish ladies (or lads, I guess) around you?

Looking into it, that 15t is... not something sanders proposed. So we don't actually know if that's what sanders is proposing. He also hasn't actually said what his proposal is for health care, only that he'd like to see a single payer system and, as the picture noted, they just took the 15t number from some random proposal someone else made. So, uh. The articles are outright lying out their ass.

---

... it's also something that, if it kept the same price tag and came with a single-payer system that actually replaced medical spending across the nation, would drop US medical costs by nearly two-thirds. Current medical spending in the states is looking to be buggering our country up the ass to the tune of 42 trillion over that same 10 year period. Increasing federal budget or not, dropping that down to 15 would be a freakish budgeting coup that would save all of us an amount of money exceeding our current debt. Which would be amazing.

E: There's something really telling about a deliberate misrepresentation of someone's position still likely managing to be a tremendous improvement on the current situation, isn't there?

*waggles hand* High N on a no/low nature nation is a pretty safe risk in EA. N1 indies for sitesearch and workhorse stuff are fairly common, and having a pretender that can put out those ruddy N rituals is darn useful. And that's discounting the best major bless in the game :P

Ooh. I had forgotten about that, somehow. It's something, I guess.

I think the "Road" improvement from the castles negates the "hindered movement" ;)
Assuming it comes with the road improvement :V

Which, if it doesn't, you apparently can't get. Whee~

And nah, the darkness advantage is actually pretty sizable so long as your opponents don't have a workaround to it. Though caves do get a reduced benefit. It's still a -3 penalty to attack, defense, and precision, though, which is often quite notable.

Nah, those don't necessarily entail a major bless. Just minor (and some growth scales, in some cases).

... though, looking into the generation process, I hadn't realized those titles were quite as spoilery as they are. Knew domain choices had an influence, but I hadn't realized they were quite as telling.

E: Well, except for the Eternal Forest one. That's definitely N9. The rest are negotiable -- foothills isn't even about nature, that's an E minor at minimum.

E2: Though... yeah, any of those with sacred giants and a nature title are probably rocking N9. We knew this was coming :P

It's going to be interesting to see if/to what extent there's a fight over mother oak/gift of health/etc., ha.

So you're only shafted by potential new negative events and the hindered movement if your capital lands in a wasteland or swamp? That's good to know.

... would also mean that farmlands are wasted on capital provinces, which is interesting. And that forest/mountains are perhaps the only ones that matter in terms of raw numbers (though just regarding resources)?

An alternative to that would be to just make a gemless mod -- no gem costs on anything. Or at least most things. I think there's still a link to (a shoddy) one I made a ways back.

... in other news, does anyone know exactly what "very low income" means for a province? Is it just a measure of starting population, or what?

Sick leave isn't particularly mandatory from on high, no, so far as I can recall. There might be some amount mandated on the federal level, but if it is, it's so small as to be functionally nonexistent. Just like our vacation days :V

Most places of employee allow for some sick days, though. Pretty much never enough, but some.

13032
... so anyone else get stuck in a strictly negative starting province? Wanna' see if I've got any suffering buddies, heh.

Starting to think less tongue-in-cheek that this game hates short people. And yes, I'm aware giving hints like that is probably a bad idea. There's enough swamp and wasteland on the map I don't much care. Also, m'kinda' buggered anyway, so might as well play things loose :V

That's the other roast potato, yeah. One of 'em, anyway. Usually baked or fried, those ones. There's... there's like several different roast potatoes, I think. All called the same, often cooked differently. Maybe the ones that go in with roast are called something different? I don't really know. They're all potatoes to me. Still, th'cooked-with-roast ones are also delicious. Just not crunchy and only sometimes buttery. Meaty, juicy, tender. Much like boiled potatoes, just cooked with a roast, so yeah.

13034
...

Y'know, I just realized I don't think I've ever actually had roast potatoes. Or at least not, like. Fire roasted or whatever that is. Roast potatoes like with roast beef or somethin', sure, but that's more... broiled or somethin'. Maybe I need to go start a fire in the yard...

E: Actually, now I'm rather curious what potatoes roasted over a pecan wood fire would taste like. Hrm.

Aren't your 18 protection soldiers useful in the expansion phase ?
I mean, nearly nobody can hurt them, right ?
You'd think, but you have to remember that protection is probably the worst defensive stat in the game. Especially without something else to back it up, which hobina's critters lack. Even with 18 protection, that 6+ enc, terrible defense (or merely sup-par on the heavy spearmen), and human HP means that they're still going to get damaged fairly often, and when they do, it's got good odds to wound or just plain kill. Add in the high resource cost and map move 1 and... they're actually kind of bad for expansion. They can manage, but they're not much (if at all) better at it than Hobina's other units. You'll lose some nearly every province and probably rack up wounds like no one's business.

With a bit of testing, I can say full prot 18 armies are doing notably worse than the vans I'm having to rely on for expansion (even accounting for the gold difference), despite the good variation I've got access to being stuck with short swords. I'm sure the formorians are just kind of laughing jovially at both of us :V

... with hobina, I'd probably be trying to mass up arbalists with plain spearmen (or caelian ones) screens instead of sending out those prot 18s to ablate off indies. Gold price is the same, but you'll be able to squeeze out more guys with the lower resource costs, and the arbs will hopefully be able to start building up. Which might not be a bad idea at all considering there's heavily armored formorians on the map, too.

---

Bonus points on those riders, though. They apparently turn into sacred mechanical men when they drop, haha! So they're fragile, but they turn into something somewhat... well, equally fragile, but in different ways, with 0 encumbrance and reinvig.
