Yeah, from what I understand part of that lack of further investigation is because the district in question has absolutely zero procedure laid down for disentangling contradicting reports between organizations. Not just no procedure for screw ups of this magnitude, but zero, none, for anything of any degree.

S'one of the those examples of incompetence that can't be distinguished from malice.

... I'd like to see more games with a playstyle ala Quylthulgs at their most furious, as per something like PosChengband, just... maybe real time or larger scope or somethin'.

Basically, a Q is an impeccably squishy critter that summons other critters and can teleport around, but it does so in big ways (relative to most other things in the games they're in, anyway). It wins fights by burying absolutely everything in bodies, bodies of all sorts and shapes and abilities and in great, great, basically unending numbers. It's the alien spawners in Infected Planet, the monster lairs in Gauntlet, the k-bot factory being guarded by a few hundred construction planes in Total Annihilation, except actively trying to hunt you down and drop things on you. Played by a human, it takes the opposing forces and spews them back at them, matching enemy for enemy and going beyond, an unending wave of flesh, piling corpse on top of corpse to achieve its goals. And... I want more of that. I want to drown my foes in flesh as they struggle and tear through my bulwarks of disposable minions, wield teleportation to gain absolute control over the battlefield, throwing myself and my foes and everything else around like toys, meet unstoppable force of numbers with unstoppable force of numbers and probably die anyway.

Just... more personal than your average high disposable unit count RTS, heh. Game with summoning/minion creation as a focus, but not some pissant weak summoner like you get from something like Geneforge or your average squad-based defense games or whatev'. I want to throw out dozens upon dozens of minions, constantly, forced to by the steady death of everything I send out as it all locks tooth and claw with forces equal and furious, dying and reinforcing just as quickly. Sci-fi equivalent would be probably be playing as an infinite-compliment carrier or missile ship in any number of space based games. That's good, too. Reassembly does a good job for allowing for that, actually, but... I don't want it being allowed, I want it the focus of the game, ha.

There are already, like, three dozen classes, eight or nine races, so it is not a big increase. It's really just bonus stuff if you like the game enough already to throw some money at the dev.

This. Covers the question of donating to T4 (which is all buying it through GoG or steam is, since the vast majority of the game is free) pretty well.

Near as I can tell looking around, it sounds like that's a bug. You can polymorph their corpses, but it shouldn't be happening automatically, and the del/se stuff appears to just be the game freaking out a lil'. Would say it's not intended at all.

I tried to read the LNs of that, but I had to drop the series about two or three paragraphs into the first volume. Maybe it was just the translator, but it read like a primary schooler's description of a comic book full of sound effects.

Oddly enough, from what I've seen of some folks talking about it, it... sorta' gets better? The LNs appear to be higher quality than either the manga or the anime, and are good enough on characterization you actually get non-hostile, vaguely appreciative commentary on several of the characters (main character bunnydude included) and scenarios/plot points from folks that are generally fairly discerning.

It's still largely harem/fanservice pandering, but danmachi apparently doesn't let that burden it as much as many of its ilk does.
