... well, the "just" part... can be. Usually is. But I've actually seen a few well done solo bath scenes in manga, that were neither particularly stupid or gratuitous. It's (potentially, anyway) a venue for intimacy, privacy, and/or relaxation that basically no other scenario can match, and can do a pretty good job showing aspects of a character's personality you just don't/can't see elsewhere. It's usually at least gratuitous, but that's not a necessary thing (and can pull double duty besides) and it's a tool that can have pretty legitimate use in a writer's proverbial palette.

Honestly, it's hard for me to think of any fanservice signals that are a unilateral sign of going too far. S'almost always someone out there that have done whatever it is you can think of either tastefully or effectively (from a writing/direction standpoint). There's plenty that are usually a sign of shitty writing, but... well, Sturgeon's. Crap is crap by dint of it being crap, by and large, not by dint of its component parts being of some sort of absolute encrapifying nature.

In live action stuff, it's really more about camera angles than anything, at least before things get overt (though plenty gets plenty overt). Pay attention to where the focus goes, heh. Posture and stuff goes in to it, too. To the edit, it's nae particularly about attractiveness or skin exposure. That's just the most blatant angle.

Really, it's not so much that folks that watch live action stuff are overly sensitive about sex, it's that the medium is freaking inundated with it to the point most folks are pretty heavily desensitized, and get confused when other folks point out stuff they've been unconsciously filtering.

That's... still not what IO's asking for. GitS's fanservice was honestly a bit clumsy, iirc, and generally caused a sort of thematic dissonance. You'd want a series that actually has well done fanservice that still manages to detract from the series. Start with, say, Kill la Kill, Panty & Stocking, or that one ecchi manga series that's basically fluffy sub/dom stuff with light bondage elements, wuzzit... Nana to Kaoru, that's the name (which is actually pretty cute, imo, though definitely NSFW*). Stuff like that. And then ask whether the fanservice actually detracts from what the series is trying to do.

... personally, those three mentioned are ones I'd actually say are bettered by the fanservice and sexual themes, rather than lessened. Have noted previously that it takes stuff that's pretty excessive and/or clumsy to really irritate me, though.

*E: At least it was the last time I read through it, which was a while back. Looks like there's a lot more, so I can't speak entirely for the later stuff, heh.

... playing Dominions 4. Finally paid half-hearted attention to the names of some of my commanders. Noticed that one of the mound kings (think minor undead generals) that had incidentally ended up ferrying around nothing but ghouls was named Leperlove. Had... had to laugh a little. It seems I have somehow accidentally'd a 53 member ghoul harem into the arms of someone that came back from the dead to find, uh. Squishy happiness. Of that nature.

E: Have now moved leperlove and orgy over to the cave of the ghouls, a magic site where one of my death mages has settled down to coax an infinite stream of ghouls from the joint. Think I'll just leave 'em there, let the ghouls just pile up. Heaven on earth for the undead leper fetishist!

Mm, no, no, from what I recall of occasional birth defects, that sort of thing tends to kill really early if it's not treated. You do get tubes blocked up and whatnot from time to time, and when it doesn't result in stillbirth it usually just kills shortly after birth. Our biology can't quite rewire its digestive system fast enough to just produce nasty sweat.

... anyway, the real question is, "Were they cute enough the plumbing is irrelevant?"

Xenocide is usually the appropriate terminology in this case, yes.

A bit better, yeah. Good handful of quality of life changes, too. It's actually fairly painful to go back and play D3, now, after playing D4 for a while.

It's an improvement, damnit, and I'm sticking with it.

Depends on if we're getting paid or not. Also whether there's reimbursement plans for next of kin and whatnot if it turns out to be fatal. Also what sort of before and after quarantine (if any) would be involved. Details, basically. Also opportunity -- I'm pretty sure in a situation like that the first to have a go would be one of the multi-millionaires out there.

... otherwise, I'm fairly sure there's several that wouldn't mind throwing themselves on the proverbial sword.

... but. Hair is down there. You don't even have to go in for that?

Anyway, would you be able to tell us what CD it is? That might help.

Opinion peice nutjob with zero understanding of what being an administrator in a country with more than one religious sect means aside, I have to boggle at the chutzpah involved at comparing a bigot trying to enforce legal segregation on a subset of the american population to Martin Luthor King Junior. The guy that fought for pretty much the exact goddamn opposite, and in fact was up against people holding the more or less exact same "religious" beliefs against interracial congress. The sheer amount of reality twisting involved in that worldview is just incredible. I can only guess the critter hasn't actually read the birmingham letters if they think any homophobic drivel that spatters out of the twit's mouth while in jail will hold even the most remote of resemblances.

Bloody hell, the comparison is actually legitimately offensive, possibly more than the rest of the bullshit article. Usually I'm not really offput by that sort of thing but goddamn. Of all the comparisons to make, you choose that? About someone trying to shit on the subject that has consistently and to a large degree accurately been compared to the desegregation movement? Just. How? If they're not just a troll, how do bugger your ability to comprehend things up that badly?

In 40 years, we will have Windows 50 and iThing 20.
No, no, microsoft has said they won't go past windows 10, and will only update that going on into the future. Or rebrand, I guess.

Either way, it won't be windows 50. It'll be a sentient windows 10 that forcibly installs itself into your brain, hollows out your essence, and turns you into the Nth billionth M$ fleshdrone, least of the worker caste.

Sheep have no age of consent. If it fits, it's in the strike zone.

Also in the animal cruelty zone, but I think they waive that for sheephumping in new zealand or whatevs.

I'd actually be a little surprised, seeing as there appears to be absolutely zero english language news on the subject. California seems to be under the media impression the event in question never happened.
