It's no great secret. All you have to do is down five bottles of gin in under an hour and survive. The truth will be revealed to what's left of your brain.

... will be interesting to see what the gov's response is, especially if/when it hits the 100k mark. Do remind the thread about it when something happens :P

Submissive would be the word, yeah, by and large. Consensual slave is another one for that general realm of things, apparently. And yeah, you're... generally not going to see that sort of arrangement without a sexual aspect involved. Kinda' like, if the arrangement itself is one in a million, it without screwing is one in a thousand of that subset of the population.

... though yeah, EH, there are some that literally sell themselves into situations like that, because they want to. It's very much very rare, especially compared to the ones that don't want to (which hey, is something like a 150bn/year market :-\), but it happens.

... someone should breed mothwolves and unleash them on the english countryside, just to see LW spontaneously combust.

Problem's generally about conflict of interest, at least insofar as the initial formulation went. Nobility (well, real nobility, anyway) generally has/had, y'know, substantial ties to places that aren't the US. Also tends/tended to come with some kind of oath of allegiance to whatever grants that nobility its title, which... should make the problem kinda' obvious.

Could make the argument that titles of nobility have watered down in the intervening years (and they have), but one can still see how they could be a problem.

Personally, nowadays, I wouldn't mind seeing it extend to general land/business ownership outside the country. Same general concept, that the president shouldn't have notable incentive to be doing something that benefits some other country more than the US, for reasons of personal betterment or conflicting allegiance.

Well, if there are irreconcilable differences... (Actually it probably depends on whether countries have laws that require the president to be born there, like the US. I don't imagine it's explicitely forbidden because it's probably quite rare.)
Despite what some crazies the last election cycle or two have been saying, you don't actually have to be born in the US to be a natural born US citizen and qualify for the presidency. Add on the possibility of dual-citizenship, and you could probably get something interesting rolling.

Eh, I add in one of the magicka regen mods, too, and just cast levitate :V

Though more than that, from what I recall the racer removal stuff doesn't remove the plumes, just stops the critters themselves from spawning. You can still buy the things, and I'm pretty sure there's at least one alchy shop that does the whole infinite supply thing, if for some reason you need hundreds and hundreds of levitate potions.

And checking the wiki, the answer is not just "at least one", but instead seven different ones, one of which has a restocking supply can be stolen from a chest, meaning you can get functionally infinite amount of plumes while paying absolutely nothing and not having to deal with the screeching annoyances.

You may want the plumes, but you don't need the beasts themselves :P

... also, the other levitation potion ingredients are all cheaper to buy. So not only are plumes the worst ingredient, cost wise, for the potion, they're also attached to one of the most annoying creatures in the game. You can get rid of the cliff racers.

I'm fairly sure it would be if they held the positions concurrently (barring some kind of conquest type dealio, anyway), but there shouldn't be a problem if they stepped down and then jumped ship. Similarly, I'm relatively sure there's nothing strictly unconstitutional if a person, otherwise able to qualify for presidency, that had held highest office in another country, was elected to be POTUS.

It just, y'know, almost certainly wouldn't actually happen.

... I have to admit, there's something to the thought of Hindenburg, the Space Elevator. Twenty kilometers of high pressure hydrogen -- surely nothing can go wrong :V

Yes, I know they could use helium instead. Not nearly as amusing.

No, no. It's trump. He'll bankrupt the country, sell it to china, and then go replace putin or somethin'.

I don't think you can make drums with rocks, unless you somehow get elastic rocks.
You'd still use the normal coverings for the membrane, it's just the rest of it would be stone (which would definitely have an impact on how it sounds, yes). Stone string instruments still have regular strings, it's just the body/neck isn't made from the normal materials.

... alternately, I'm pretty sure there's solid percussion instruments out there. Rock maracas or somethin', I'unno.

Would, have. So, yes.

13483
... it looks like they could buy 'em, anyway, so... maybe? No idea what the sound, etc., is like on stone guitars or whatev'. Guess there's technically videos online demonstrating, but... effort.

I'd actually recommend crimsonland -- it's pretty bloody nice for what it is. Definitely worth a buck, imo. Is a quite well executed... arena shooter? I think that's what they're called. That's been around for quite a while (first release was in '03 :P), and is still one of the better examples of the genre, if you ask me.
