Not enough spiders for that, OW. Maybe we need to get H G Wells in here, write us a valley full of thread to fornicate with.

That's... more or less the basis behind the whole "fix fic" thing. Or one of them, anyway. Is plenty of that, and ones with NGE in particular (gendo being less of an ass or momma ikari surviving being relatively common) are somewhat close to prolific. I'm actually kinda' surprised you haven't noticed Nobody Dies or its ilk...

*waggles hand* They sorta' weren't actually that desperate (see: Dummy plugs, the whole actual goal for most of the folks in charge.), it's just that... most of the movers and shakers in the Eva universe are colossal, literally world-ending, jackasses. It's not so much desperation as gendo giving precisely zero shits as to what happens to shinji. Seele helps :V

There's several fanfics out there that explore the premise of "What if everyone in power in the NGE continuity weren't unmitigated bastards?" Lot of time reasonable extrapolation ends up with a significantly better situation even if only one or two of the big power movers aren't, nevermind the lot of them.

I say "Lazy vocabulary building" because it's easy to just use fuck and other related words everywhere because they've grown to be so versatile.
... y'know what might be kinda' neat? An automated system that handed out mutes (and eventually a ban) if the poster used the same bit of vulgarity twice in, say, their last hundred posts. That'd encourage some variation, if nothing else.

*shrugs* If it's what the community and (more importantly, in these cases) the community's administration want, then it's what they want. There's not really anything bad about that, imo, especially if it's clearly stated somewhere. Blanket, society wide censorship of profanity might be impossible, but limited censorship in areas/discussions where the majority (and/or discussion area's providers) would rather avoid it is perfectly fine. Laudable, even, t'me. Ain't nothing wrong with not wanting to deal with that crap.

Especially regarding the internet, if that's something you don't like... don't interact with the community in question. Plenty of cesspools out there just waiting for a dustup.

They even ban self-censorship of profanity, and that is INCREDIBLY stupid, in my opinion.
The only thing stupid about banning self-censorship of profanity (assuming the goal is stopping or removing profanity on the forum, anyway) is the people that believe that "self-censorship" of profanity is actually censorship. F*ck is not censoring. Neither is F*($. Neither is #*($, though that's more a variable than explicit. The list just kind of goes on. That sort of vulgarity masking is a complete joke.

Because political double standards? Really though, the whole sex scandal and affair thing seems to be spread evenly between the two parties, it's not an exclusively one party or the other thing.
Oh, the acts themselves are pretty ubiquitous, it's just that one of the parties is currently screaming in the streets (sometimes literally!) about family values and abstinence an' junk. Dems are a bit more chill on that front, so it ends up making their politicians look less hilariously hypocritical on the subject.

Ahh yes Shinji is definitely one. The entire point of his character is that he is someone who, in the normal world, would be carted for psychiatric help and wouldn't be anywhere near the battlefield.
In the normal world, he probably never would have needed psychiatric help at all, even if he did end up on the battlefield. With his mom still around and his dad (both of which were incredibly high functioning individuals, and the latter in particular entirely capable of raising a healthy kid if he actually gave a damn regarding doing so) not trying to break existence in response to her dying, it's pretty damn likely he would have turned out healthy. Dude was a decent musician, by all appearances fairly intelligent and actually pretty capable of holding himself together, just more or less abused and neglected and then thrown into battle with eldritch abominations. Not really a loser for cracking under that kind of pressure... more just, y'know, normal. Human. He reacts better to his situation than most people would, really, it's just that the situation is pretty incredibly shitty.

Now, some of the ways he responded... yeah, that was being a proverbial degenerate, but in general, well. He didn't kill himself, and that's better than some of the characters in the show :V

Yes to the first, no to the second. Since we're the Good Guys, that means that the Bad Guys deserve no good treatment and whatever we do to them is justified since we're a priori in the right and they're a priori in the wrong due to being Bad. A great swath of our country is pretty okay with prisoners being beaten, raped, and/or tortured, regardless of what they actually did. Usually by other prisoners for at least the middle one, but still. And military malcontents? Ha.

You'll note that the immediate response from one of our military folks was "hopefully someone loses the key", i.e. indefinite, extended, solitary (aka explicit torture) is not just A-Okay, but desirable.

Fiiiiix it :P

Though expect, not really. It's just a little disappointing, y'know? WC3 could handle 12 or so, iirc, and that was a long time ago... so they should fix this terrible scaling issue and surpass the works of yesteryear and whatnot. Then we can have our 100(0)v100(0) mob brawls.

So should everyone else. No more AoS-knockoffs that can't handle at least the population of a small town in one match.

Yer makin' the assumption that the law in the US gives much of a shit about prisoners, tiru. That's an unfortunately poor assumption to make.

What if we are the only sentient life?
If there's none out there, we'll just have to make some on our own, simple as that. Rate that technology's going, by the time we're comfortably colonizing other planets, uplifting non-sophonts or custom building intelligent species from the ground up shouldn't really be that big of an issue, on the technical side of things.

13573
1. Fix it :V

2. I don't actually know or care what they call the critters. Alternation covers the bases.

13574
Hnn... not quite enough. They should go 24v24, remove everything except the catapults

Or just take it straight to 30v30 and remove lane minions entirely. No creep, all elite, final destination.

Bonus points if they replace the jungle creep with random AI-controlled champs. Maybe leashed but upgunned bots for towers, too. Might as well go whole hog.

13575
Probably not much of an improvement, actually. Cat being cat, it's probably taking a dump in the corpses of the mangled birds you don't see.
