... which is kinda' the point. It's tea without caffeine, and that's "Bring in the inquisition" time, regardless of how it got uncaffeinated.

Isn't brother/sister stuff a thing in anime in general? I've run into it a couple times recently while looking for potential animes, even in a recommendation from a friend who usually stays away from the creepy stuff.
It is, it is. It's just... hard to describe. There's a difference between that and what I'm running into, though I'm having trouble putting it into words. Part of it is probably because, you know, these are punch magic series -- they're not exactly romcoms or porn light stuff, they're about casting fist until everyone falls down, so the whole incest angle feels even more off than normal. The rest of it may just be because of how straight it's being played... in a lot of the brother/sister stuff in other genres it's fairly obvious (and often incredibly blatant), that they're playing it off for titillation and teh smex. These are... not, really. They're more straight up "We serious incest romance sideplot now". Which, as I noted, I wasn't exactly expecting to find in my punch magic adventure romp.

edit: This might be a little late, but Frumple, have you had mint tea? It's great stuff. All the fun of tea but with a better flavor and no caffeine.
Few times, but it's been a while, so I don't really recall the flavor. My usual opinion of decaffeinated tea is "heresy, burn it", so I haven't exactly had much tea in the last long bit :V

Still, might give another try. Like said, I think we've got some peppermint growing around here somewhere, so it might be interesting to try some home grown tea...

That was just shorthand for the whole experience, neo. Both of these last two had fairly heavy siblingscrewing threads, too, or at least a very strong insistence on calling the person you're intending to vigorously bed your brother/sister.

But nah, close cousins are pretty iffy, too, iirc. Distant ones are pretty harmless, but first/second ones are more of relatively immediate concern. Still usually not a major concern so long as you're not insisting on keeping in the immediate family for multiple generations, but... still.

Eeehhh... I can eat mint chocolate stuff without much problem, I just don't particularly like it, unlike a lot of people. I tend to prefer my mint isolated, not mixed with stuff.

Might be a bit more inclined if I tried some proper mint chocolate instead of, well. Most of what's easily accessible for a rural floridian :V

Yeah, it's absolutely awful without the creme de menthe. It has the advantage of adding alcohol, as well. Go light on the tea.
... ah. Actually looked up creme de menthe. I'll have to think on it some, since alcohol is a no-go and coffee is terrible. Still, we've got actual peppermint plants somewhere around here,* iirc, so the mint flavor could be added pretty easily without the vileness that is alcohol. Not sure what to replace the coffee with, though. Part of me is now wondering what happens when you boil peanut butter into tea, since peanut butter and chocolate together ends up a fair amount like coffee without the horrid bits. Maybe try something in the near future, I'unno.

*Though... not terribly fond of mint and chocolate together, either. Methinks there may be tastebud incompatibility here :V

Welp. Cousinfuckin' 'ere we go.

I like the punch magic enough to ignore it, though. Punch magic is nice. Cast fist, etc. etc.

The ideal beverage is a combination of coffee, black tea, chocolate syrup, and creme de menthe. Just gonna throw that out there.
... I guess it's the coffee and creme that makes the chocolate work with the tea? Because every attempt at mixing tea and chocolate I've tried has been horrendous. Easily some of the worst drink combinations I've ever made, to the point I've generally just kind of wrote off continuing to experiment with the combo (well, above and beyond having stopped drinking caffeinated stuff in general).

Eh. Actually drinking alcohol would be better than 50% of odds of just being flat suicide for me. Pretty much every single member of my family either are or have been alcoholics at some point, and it's killed a few of 'em. Really rather not risk it :V

If it helps any GC, the largest you're likely to find local will probably be around 15 oz, via the family sized bags. Largest individual bag I'm seeing online is 20 oz (which looks like they may just be a larger family sized one or somethin'?). If you're looking for mass weight in one go, you'd want to get the smaller bags in large quantities -- 64 oz or so total seems pretty easy to nab up. Price wise that's silly, though -- just keep buying those family sized ones.

Looks like if you want something genuinely gigantic, you'd have to get in contact with frito-lay or buy a half-dozen or more of those individual bags and then stitch them together and fill 'em back up.

Incidentally, if you actually go all out and do that, please take pictures. Giant pseudo-tessellated dorito bag would be amazing to see.

... okay, someone out there that's more familiar with this wuxia-type manga stuff. Fantasy martial arts sorta' thing. Can you, like. Tell me. If this incest thing is going to be common? Or am I just getting unlucky? This duoluo thing is the second one in a row with a fairly major incest plot point going on.

It's almost amazing, even. One of the cousinhumper pair in this one has actually been keeping his distance, not wanting to get involved, etc., because, you know, the people in question are apparently fairly close cousins and he's like, yo', family, no. The only reason they got close to begin with is they didn't actually know they were related for a while (family heirlooms, people thought dead, etc.) Everyone else involved, including their best friend/former love triangle member, their students, random people in the surrounding vicinity, are like, "Get to screwing!" Recalcitrant dude is just, "What the hell people!?" But everyone's like, "No! Fuck now!" And I'm just kinda' boggling at it. At least the last one had the mild veneer of the sister in the sisterscrewing duo being adopted. This one's just straight up, "Nope! Bloodkin. Make babies, damn you!"

Is there something about punch magic that invalidates inbreeding? Is this a thing in wuxia lore?

The difference is as obvious as it is profound. One can have rocket boobs.

Florida, actually, and I've tasted quite a bit of different types of coffee over the years, including straight up Colombian, various fancy ones, etc., etc. More than one member of my family is some variation of coffee snob. All of them tasted terrible. Not the family members, mind. The coffee.

Don't even like ruddy toffee. Coffee just tastes bad t'me. The underlaying flavor is plain repugnant, no matter how well made or how buried in other tastes. Concentration just makes it exponentially worse.

E: I welcome other people to like it, though. Gives someone in the vicinity to foist the bile onto if need be.

Hora hora, ah ha ha. And not entirely, but that's definitely been a substantial motivator. Not complaining, oh ho ho.

Definitely agreed on the idol thing, though. At least a naga provides for interesting logistical speculation.
