... it's not a victory. Just not a complete and total loss. Yeah, it's sleight of hand. Not too far back, we wouldn't have even gotten that goddamn much. "At least it's something" is more than I've seen during most of my life. It's a happy surprise. Or at least less disheartening, whatever. You'll have to excuse me if I acknowledge at least that much.

Presumably whoever actually took it down. Or the state in general. I can pretty much guarantee you that if someone did while it was still illegal, some racist jackass would pretty much immediately sue the state or press charges, however they'd go about it.

Dev/debug mode? You can cheat yourself up to level 50 and teleport around to test it. Arena? There's some kind of talent point planner addon. The Everything's Unique addons current have ridiculously accelerated XP gains, so you can level up very rapidly and encounter nasty enemies to test yourself on, too.

Yeah, bit of a with-chinman, here. At least it's something, and to a large extent that's more than what we've been getting in the past. At least maybe not entirely fuck-all will come of it. Mostly, sure, and in a way that distracts from the substantiative issues, but goddamn, at least it's not entirely nothing.

Honestly, I'm mildly (and happily) surprised they're even actually attempting to take the flag down.

Sa-ay. What sort of dragon would y'all want to be? McCaffrey's are decently high on the list for me, what with the telepathy, time travel, ability to survive in space for several minutes without aid, and intra-system biological FTL drive.
Pern's has some advantages, but I could do without the uncontrollable sex drive thing. And the thread. And the telepathy has some fairly significant downsides. They're pretty flimsy as dragons go, too. Also... innit their lifespan fairly limited for dragoncritters? They've got some fancy tricks, but for me they're probably not much further up the ladder than Discworld's.

Shadowrun's would definitely be up high on the list. They've got most things other sorts of dragons have going for them, and overall considerably less of the problems (which is faintly ridiculous, considering the setting they originate from). Dark Sun's wouldn't be that bad, either, really -- sure, they're fairly incredibly malevolent (and largely have to be, due to how they form), but not much actually manages to kill the things despite a lot of things trying and the whole might-as-well-be-a-god thing is pretty sweet digs. Bunch more I'm forgetting... know some of them patterned after the eastern stuff is quite appealing, but I can't remember particular settings and whatnot to note.

Pretty much any of the D&D/Krynn/etc. sort would be fairly solid, providing you actually survive up to adulthood and maybe not actually be on one of their deathworlds. Massive arcane power, functional agelessness, ability to polymorph, the whole progeny thing... if it weren't for where they live and how few of them actually get beyond wyrmhood, they'd be pretty great.

But one could never say they were gentle unicorns.
That's because there's no such thing as a gentle unicorn. The closest would be MLP stuff, and even those are basically trotting squad-level support weapons.

The traditional sort don't violently murder some people, but they're perfectly content to kill everything else. Gentle, they are not.

Could you imagine rush hour if you suddenly introduced vehicles significantly capable of surviving anti-tank rounds and able to breath a variety of deadly breath weapons? It would be incredible. Property values and vehicle-related deaths would plummet and skyrocket, respectively.

E: And best of all, reality TV, most sports, and the majority of news would be replaced by live feeds of major thoroughfares.

incapable of breeding with gelatinous cube, 0/10, would not label draconian

if it doesn't fornicate all across mortal understanding of genetics, a dragon it is not

... probably the former. All things actually being equal, they're a lot less likely to effectively self-suicide their campaign by burning bridges.

they're really more like birds
Y'know, in retrospect that's probably why a lot of dragons have wings. You've got reptile looking things that also look like birds, so obviously they must have been giant scaly flying lizards. Makes sense. Or they just found some of the big flappy ones and went on to assume all of them had wings, it's just some had wings that were missing from the skeleton.

Wonder if that means the eastern ones originated after finding some of those long necked water dwellers... or just the long necked ones in general, I guess.

-Maybe. It's irritatingly questionable. More likely than the rest of it, though. There were still early church groups that believed the guy didn't actually exist on earth :V
-Complete toss-up. Too far back to have any meaningful way of telling, so far as I can recall.
-No. Arc covered the more charitable response, and we've had the flood discussion a few times previous in thread.
-See 2.

Depends on what you mean by happened, though. As the bible itself described would be a no across the board -- the chances of actual historical figures being as described in the bible is basically nil. Too much time, too much corruption of the source, too dubious a source to begin with insofar as historical accuracy goes. That there may have been historical people or events that the biblical ones worked off afterwards has always been a possibility. A possibility that's largely unverifiable for many of the figures, but a possibility.

Pretty sure it's a mod thing, just don't ask me which one. I've ran into the same thing on enemies that have it. No clue what causes it.

... that's pretty explicitly untrue, and you're fairly aware of it.

Still, we do have komodo dragons. People seem to constantly forget those. Last I checked reports, they taste pretty terrible.

If it is, it's not for this region. I've yet to actually meet someone that's made dew-tea (or any of the other soda-based variants -- gojiberry tea made with barqs is pretty nice, imo, ferex) before I suggested it as a possibility.

Most people just don't really seem to think of boiling soda, or if they do (and I've met a few that do that much -- some folks actually prefer soda flat, and that's the fastest way to get flat soda), they don't do anything with it besides drink it. For whatever reason, taking that next step to steeping something in the soda just doesn't seem to cross the mind.

Gods, no. Though that was probably more of a, "Hey, that fuzzy thing that eats what we do is eating that, let's see if it tastes good". I'm more of a "I like this and I like that, let's see what happens when you put them together" kinda' person. Not so much a random sampler of the unknown and possibly poisonous.

Nah, I just wanted to see what happened when you boil soda, and happened to have tea to put in a boiled liquid. So... why not? I like tea, I like soda, let's see what happens, thoughts I. And it turned out pretty good! Also the sugar/caffeine high lasted like six hours straight and the crash afterwards was amazing.
