... yeah, I'm not sure I'd actually call that fanservice, per se. Fanservice is for fans. That's, uh. More a fetish? Something like that.

Why do you play with this person, again?

It's fairly steady on my end at the moment, yeah. We are still getting the occasional spat, but I'd almost say the last half-year or so's been more stable than usual insofar as that stuff goes.

I've had family buy it. It's useful for a few things, like cheesing up crackers. Though that and just eating it is about the only thing I ever see it used for. Being fair to it, it's little worse than the normal american sliced cheese stuff.

And fistbump to owlga. I'd make no qualms about canned pasta being an acquired taste, but I've definitely acquired it. Actually like the stuff well enough. It's not terrible. One horrible thing I'll do is cook up some ramen, flavor it (or not, depending on mood), drain out the broth, and then stick the noodles in with a can's worth of pasta. Extra noodles! Add in a little cheese, maybe ghetto croûtons (chopped up toast) and some bacon bits (or just bacon, if it's on hand). It's thoroughly mediocre in the best of ways.

Who the fuck has canned pasta? What the shit?
Chef Boyardee, friendo. Knockoff brand stuff, anyway. Very cheap, in every sense of the word. You may google its terrible majesty at your leisure.

Like, seriously, where I'm at a can of the stuff sells for about the same as freaking rice, iirc. Both about 7 cent to the ounce.

I call it a culinary abomination, but it's both cheap, filling, and tastes of nostalgia -- I can actually use it in a dish that ends up tasting like public school cafeteria lasagna! That's not really a good thing, but it's a thing.

Honestly, protagonist-centered media in general seems to be pretty slim on the prominent parental figure, especially actual biological or adopted parents. Something always seems to happen to them, or they get regulated to the background (at best). There's definitely exceptions, but that's always seemed to be the trend of things...

Mostly detest meatballs, especially beyond those abominations they put in canned pasta. Will remember if I ever cook 'em for someone else, though~

Yush. Though... well, not really. The taste is actually fairly distinct -- just adding cinnamon to a cereal isn't quite enough to replicate the cinnamon toast thing, even with something that's already sugar'd up. Cinnamon'd cereal is something I've been doing for a little bit now, this is just the first time it turned out seriously appealing as opposed to "just" mildly better.

I really have to keep adding cinnamon to things. I think the next thing I'm going to explicitly set out to try is cinnamon basted chicken. It's great that one of these spice shaker things of ground cinnamon seems to last bloody forever, heh.

That feeling when you try a minor variation on a dish and it turns out significantly better than expected.

Turns out cinnamon added to frosted flakes is freaking incredible. I was expecting good, but not this good. Put cinnamon in all the things *flails*

Also yeah, cheers to GC and crew now that I actually look at the thread. Enjoy the time away :3

General Discussion / Re: Do you like stuffed animals? Poll

There's definitely a certain cultural approbation towards males (at least above a fairly young age) appreciating stuffed animals to any meaningful degree in the area I'm in, for what that's worth. Being fair, there's also a look of askance around here towards men finding interest in just about anything that isn't beer, trucks, guns, sports, hunting/fishing, home improvement, and T&A. The ladies definitely catch less flak on that front, though yeah, as per wob, adults in general are kinda' looked at lil' funny for having one that's more than just a set piece. It's a difference of mild immaturity and suspected deviance, though.

Personally, I think they're pretty great. Don't actually have any right now (well, besides one of that dog-thing from Excell Saga sitting around somewhere), but if could be arsed to figure out how to sew I'd totally be using this fairly large (i.e. it comes up to my shoulder, and I'm 5-something or other) stuffed bear as a pillow. It makes a great pillow. Poor thing's arm's about tore off, though.

If the wiki's to be believed, yugi's mom actually shows up once or twice in the anime (though one of the appearances was stripped from the english dub for some godsforsaken reason). The father never does, and may have never even been mentioned. Can't even find reference that he actually appeared in the manga in any way, either... the entirety of his existence is basically WoG derived. The mother's marginally more active in the manga than she is in the anime, though. Not quite as deadbeat as the father who probably has fifty kids in other countries or somethin'.

... the job site. I mean, that's basically the continuation of the same thing, just with less learning, more kvetching, and lives being more thoroughly ruined by screwups. You've got the emotional instability and learning (those never actually go away, ever), you've got the office politics of hell, you've got off-work interaction and departmental shenanigans replacing clubs and activities, you've got peripheral characters such as family, competing/collaborating businesses, and higher ups. Same list applies.

... seriously though, cats are totally able to learn to stop going in to a room, you just have to be consistent in keeping them out or removing them and maybe mildly brain anyone that's interfering with the process. Sometimes Often the biggest obstacle to training a pet is training the other people in the building...

Noted to self: Smooshed up new potatoes wrapped in pepperoni is delicious. If a little messy.

I'm pretty sure vacuuming the cat would get rid of the dander. And the cat.

Also uninvite cat is possible path to victory. There are many ways to do this, some of which involve cat missiles.
