Genetics, apparently -- the process for determining length is basically the same for other primates as it is for us, ours just is generally more likely to go long.

Why exactly long-head-hair genetics ended up being a thing isn't someone anyone really has an answer for. There's guesses (heat regulation, sexual selection), but lacking a time machine that's all they really are. Could be our height, different hunting methods, different environments (most other primates don't range nearly as far north/south as we do), other stuff. No real way of telling, near as I can recall. Lot of evolutionary history is basically just-so stories at best, making as informed a guess as possible without any real way of surety.

Though there are some other primates with similarly long hair/fur, checking. Not any I noticed with head hair, specifically, but eh. also ninja'd but whatever, it's too close to midnight to care

suddenly i wonder what sort of sound a dong shaped gong would make

and, like

do you make it flat

or can you make a 3d donggong?

is it still a gong when it's an oddly shaped cylinder?

also like

when you're making it, do you make two to bang together or do you separate out the bait and the tackle and percuss with those

i have many questions on vulgar instrumentation now

it is one of the old problems with prophecy and whatnot -- somewhere out there all the nonsense being babbled has probably already happened to an antbed

so, like, maybe it was all true but it turned out the prophet or whatever was actually talking about ants and everyone involved just got confused and thought their message was about humans

and then round down to the nearest half!

fucking hell grandfather sprayed his french fries with fucking piss removal spray and started eating them

noticed before he ate two, but that's probably one of the worst things I've seen him do to date, and, just. Goddamn.

if there's an afterlife with something responsible for dementia, I hope to whatever's listening that entity is killable so I can fucking murder it

e: adjacent to that, I hate human biology so, so much at this point

just

hate

hatehatehatehatehatehatehate

hate it

it's going to be tremendously hard not to just fucking piss on the next person that proposes intelligent design to me in person, because the only thing greater than my hate of human biology at this point is the distilled malice that is the concept some gigantic bastard built this shit intentionally

i don't know what's going to happen after my grandparents pass, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be either near or explicit hermitage, or suicide, and I'm not sure which is winning that race right now because both never touching another human being and the sweet release of death both sound really goddamn tempting

... yeah, I used to do that like once a year or somethin'. Titanium frames are where it's at, some sort of flex metal in general. Pretty sure I had one pair that got literally ran over by a truck and came out fine, lens cracked but frame just like "nah fam i'm cool". They're more expensive, but significantly longer lasting and sleeping on them tends to be whatever.

Ones I've got now are finally starting to wear out, but I've had them for the better part of a decade... think they got bought in 2014 or something like that. They've outlived several lenses, heh.

his beefy shoulders.
Those shoulders betray him. He is, in fact, a mattress in disguise. I mean, just look at him.
What... what is that thing in his hand not holding the knife? It looks like some kind of floppy medieval condom.

E: And he looks like someone that would be holding something like that while posing for a painting, just sayin'.

This bed is so goddamn big. I've been traveling through this extremely comfortable and relaxing hellscape for days now, just trying to reach the other side. I found a tag that stated it could not be removed lest one anger the god that resides in this downy land. Of course I removed it and now chew on it as the last sustenance I have. I fear I may die of dehydration soon, but atleast the sleep I'm getting is fucking fantastic. If anyone finds this note, tell my family I loved them, and to not move my corpse, I can't imagine resting in peace anywhere better.

the worst thing about that post is someone's probably said that with absolute seriousness

possibly a sitting member of congress

Axe+lava bucket is amazing, as is wall+bomb. The two together basically lols the entire pre-endless without much difficulty.

Of the second set of characters, the feather and the leaf ones actually have genuinely really good main weapons -- they both gain homing on final upgrade, and will start to seriously carry their weight. Dice chick is probably one of, or the, strongest for an endless run -- her passives really take off after a while. Of the first set, the very first one has a pretty bleh primary but her puppy dog is probably one of the best passive effects in the entire game, since it runs around and picks up XP for you. Scythe chick will probably end up nerfed -- you can just about hit endless using just her primary weapon right now, it plus her passives are very, very strong at the mo'.

There's definitely other levels planned. Game's twitter says next update will be sometime in august, iirc.

Coronaviruses seem to have similar symptoms across the board, from my very limited knowledge. I’m pretty sure the common cold and ‘flu are coronaviruses.
the common cold is like a dozen different things (and by a dozen different things I mean there's over 200 identified viral strains attributed to causing it, from a quick wiki check), among which are coronaviruses, yes. The other major virus families involved are rhino-, adeno-, and entero-.

Flu -- influenza -- is specifically a different family of virus, though. No orthocoronavirinae involved. So you're half right, I guess?

Tap water in multiple cities in north florida and the town I live in all started making me sick when I was in my early twenties. Little bit is usually okay, but if I drink much it'll cause the dangly-whatsit in my throat to swell up and obtain a sensation state roughly equivalent to gargling razor blades.

... it is unpleasant, and I don't drink the tap water anymore.

Heat exhaustion's fine to avoid healthcare, though. Long as you get some rest and some water you should be okay. Heat stroke isn't even that bad, so long as it's mild and you don't fully black out from it. I've finally managed to start avoiding them in the last few years, but for something like half my life I'd stroke out partially or fully at least once a year. florida fucking sucks and no one should live here

vampire survivors or related stuff? They're pretty low thought, yet still kinda' adjacent to doom rl. Holocure is free, even. I've played them while reading a few times.

... doomrl totally doesn't require audio, though. It's harder muted, but you can still play it!

I do kinda' hate mayo, but if you're okay with it on bread, you shouldn't have any problem with it on noodles. They're basically the same thing, just in different shapes.
