Plus, as I mentioned, I ate microwaved noodles.

My mom keeps promising to teach me to cook, probably to spite my stepmom when she taught me a bit of cooking last year. My mom still hasn't taught me anything aside from a half-assed how-to for scrambled eggs.
Microwaved noodles are an excellent place to start, actually, imo. The first step on the road to culinary enlightenment is realizing you can put those noodles in other things, and other things in those noodles.

Like, what I'm eating right now is freaking delicious, and all it is is two different sorts of microwaved noodles mixed together with instant mashed potatoes, some cheese, and re-warmed leftover chicken, with (portions, since using the full seasoning packs on these things is a little excessive) of the various seasonings thrown in plus some pepper. Cooked the lot of it in the microwave. Noodles go together with a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff goes together with noodles. They're a pretty good base to start experimenting with.

If you've got bread and a toaster, chopped up toast is also an excellent additive to whatever you're cooking. Discount croûtons! Or just straight up croûtons if you feel like seasoning them. Honestly doesn't go all that well with plain noodles, but noodles thickened with something like mashed potatoes, or drained of the broth (which is perfectly tasty drained into a cup and drank, most of the time), and it's pretty solid for thirty cents and less than ten minutes.

The simple rules of ultra-beginning cooking:

Rule 1: Take what's on hand you find edible.
Rule 2: Heat until safely edible.
Rule 3: Stick it all in a bowl.
Rule 4: Stir until well mixed.

That's it.

... I actually kinda' like the way it looks, m'self. It's, like. Curvy? Sorta' like someone made one of those spiraly unicorn horns into a firearm. Just the wrong color. Should be sparkly and pearlescent. Maybe an attachment that fires glitter when it fires bullets. That'd actually be sorta' awesome, thinking on it.

*looks out window*

*sees three large men, apparently construction workers, having a picnic in the back yard*

... alright then. I'll just, uh. Leave you folks to that, random people that walked off the street to have lunch.

If all it took was being vacuous to make a politician disappear, we'd have a lot less of them, IP.

Also, an uncontrolled de-orbiting of a satellite will not result in KKV. It will result in pretty fireworks in the upper atmosphere.
All you'd have to do to make it work is strap one of the spare politicians to it. That'd make it dense enough to survive passing through the sun.

The other politicians, standing on their own ego.

Or satellites or passing asteroids or something, whatever's available. They're inventive bastards when they're trying to make lives worse.

Apparently, we should send all our politicians into space.
Then we could leave them there!
... do you really want a situation where all it takes for a politician to make a KKV is to get out and push? At least strand them on some inhospitable planetoid sufficiently far away they can't throw things at us. Preferably with a high gravity so they can't get off.

Unfortunately, yes, yes I am. It's been causing some problems for a while now, honestly. Here's an example. First amendment protection being extended to a corporation :-\

There's more stuff like it, though, and a fairly vocal body of proponents for such things. Some folks out there making a lot of money from corps being able to shanghai civil right protections, and using some of it to drum up support.

And ninja'd, bah.

... yeah, that stream video anti-sold it to me. One mildly interesting idea (the quests) amid a tide pool of AoS knockoff clone. Playing looked kinda' clumsy, too... sorta' like DotA, but somehow worse. Primus kinda' nailed it with the WC3 engine quip. I'm sure it'd be as alright to play as any AoS knockoff, but... not compelling enough to install, y'know?

Still, hope you find some folks to play with, samb. Sure someone around here's interested enough in yet another minor variation on the AoS knockoff formula to play a few rounds.

*waggles hand* Manga started in '02, ended 2010, anime aired in '06. Not really that old.

Eeehhh... minimum's better future proofing, methinks. Maximum age that makes sense now might not make sense in fifty years.
