... galaga? Pac-man? Centipede. Street Fighter, the old Marvel vs. Capcom stuff. Buncha stuff you'd run off a MAME emulator or whatev'. Think Metal Slug was that for a while? All sorts of old shmups I can't remember the names of. Freaking Gauntlet, obvs. Robotron, if I've not forgotten the name? Gods, there's a lot of arcade games, and most of them that actually made it into an arcade machine are... passable.

Very big, yes. Note they're tiny compared to the elephant-thing.

Though it was mostly a misspelling, of course. One which can stay. Either works.

It is really bloody good, ha. Just... probably not something that should be on school grounds :P

Eva was actually Frumple's first anime :3

Good stuff. Significantly better fanfiction since then, hoho. But yeah, definitely something a PTA equivalent would be thoroughly unhappy about, heh.

... I kinda' remember some of escaflowne being pretty brutal, too. Might have just been one of the movies, i'unno... it's been a significant number of years, and I could never manage to get the bloody disc to play the thing through at the time.

Definitely less than eva, though. Just significant violence and maybe a bit of excessive fanservice, iirc. that cat song, though...

And yeah, if you're showing eva, uh. Make sure the teachers don't know, and maybe screen off campus. Or more appropriately don't, because yeaaah that shit really isn't PG-13 or whatev'.

E: Mononoke actually got pretty bloody too, didn't it? I guess that's less of a concern as most cultures these days seem thoroughly meh about media violence, but...

Tsutsimmil, the World Mountain. Oversized elephant with a horned nose, gigantic beehive on its back, and a love of mangoes. Known mythological feats: The entity that throws the earth around the equator (i.e. the cause of the planet's rotation), being goddamn bigger than you. Also bees the larger than a Sudan.

"I've figured it out! They're feeding mangoes into the water!"

"What, mangoes? Ha! Awesome!

Wait. Wait. Fuck. Mangoes. We are so dead." *trumpeting, earth begins shaking*

... that was a neat dream. Kinda' dresden-ish, just... ending with a fuckhuge elephant and an evil plot involving injecting mangoes into a bayou. Don't remember most of the rest of it, but that was a really big pachyderm. Kinda' want to know how unnamed protagonist and similarly unnamed plucky sidekick(s) were going to get out of that one, now.

... I remember B&W being fairly well liked, B&W2 being liked less, and fable being forgettable (and, iirc, outstaying its welcome, sequel wise). Movies thing doesn't even ring a bell :V

So not really on the remembering thing.

... uh, what gamble? Taking a gander at it, they're just doing something that's... already been done like four or five times by other developers, generally fairly effectively from what I recall. Think it'll be the first of its sort from a major studio, but I'm not sure they're actually doing something risky.

Plant thing looks entirely fed up with someone's BS in that picture.

Bird thing's pretty "Oh god save me" too...

... I'd ask what they've been doing to them in the interim, but I am entirely too aware of digimon fanfiction to actually want to know :-\

So, uh, hey. One Way Heroics is going for less than a buck (75% off) until the 16th. It's a neat little game if anyone was eyeballing it. Star Wolves stuff that was being talked about a bit ago is in the 1-2 USD range, too.

Weapon finesse, sure, at the least. Probably who knows how many others (and more that shifts it to other stats beyond strength or dex), but that's the most basic I can recall. S'limited to certain weapons as well, iirc, and is a pre-req for a handful of things. S'how it works in Incursion, anyway.

Though that one, at least, doesn't change it to dex... just lets you use the higher of the two, if for some odd reason (temp (de)buffs, gorram weird builds, etc.) you've got weapon finesse and a higher strength than dex.

Anyway, there's probably reasoning for it somewhere or another. Though as always, if it's troublesome enough, homebrew. Always homebrew.

After all, with sufficient shenanigans, you might be able to make it #Watergategate >_>

...Except that a flash-clone has a much shorter lifespan than a normal person.
Entirely irrelevant, since you'll be replaced as well when you go to sleep.

You're young, though! Probably even in relation to the total, shortened, lifespan in your scenario. It just doesn't matter because they come for you when you sleep :3

General Discussion / Re: Silly Superhero Ideas Thread

Respawn:  Respawn is a superhero with the video-game power to respawn after he dies.  He can generate a single respawn beacon any time he wants, and if he dies he will reappear at the beacon(glowing energy ball).  Other than that he is a normal human being.  He has two major weakness.
... the obvious question: Do they leave bodies behind? What about what they were wearing?

Because I've actually seen a fanfic that had that more or less as a premise: Someone who died and came back indefinitely, but left bodies behind and cheerfully proceeded to viciously exploit that. You can do a lot with an endless pile of corpses.

As to the OP: This probably deserves mention.

You could always take the easy route and presume you're the flash grown clone that replaced the previous Akura in its sleep. You'd only be a few hours old in that case~

... if it means anything, your attempts to get said points across around here are at least appreciated, even when misunderstandings and disagreements and whatnot occur. Too tired at the moment to add anything to that statement, but... felt the sentiment should be expressed, I guess.
