Because wherever I go on the internet, no one has heard of this game. Until recently, it seems.
Weird. I've noticed mention of it all over the place for... years, I guess. I mean, the games have been around for a while, ha. They're one of those things that get mentioned whenever the older CRPGs come up, at least in passing. Usually with a fair amount of praise.

E: Haven't personally played Wiz 8... or any of them, really, though. At least not much. That old first-person dungeon crawl just rubs my nerves raw -- there's been something like three or four games of that style I've been able to stomach playing for any length of time, out of the multiple-dozens I've tried over the years (and yes, that includes pretty much all of the big names). I get unpleasantly lost, usually. As opposed to pleasantly lost, which can also happen. Something about that style of game just really tends to bugger my sense of direction.  Worse than ruddy MUDs they are, for me :-\

... why would you expect Bay 12 of all places to have not heard of the Wizardry series? It's... pretty well known?

... klezmer? You're aware of the klezmatics, right? Among other things. Pretty sure I've dropped a bit of klezmer over in the music thread, if you want to see some more.

... man, if this was a slightly more lenient forum, I could post the perfect reaction pic to that. Code Geass thing, with the mask as a cod-piece. Nooooooooo!

So you either take on debt to meet those requirements (which will upgrade by the time you're done with your education), or you do some very low-level uneducated work and look for opportunities to move about.
Or rock some variation of nepotism networking. Though I guess you could file that under opportunities to move about...

Might be better odds to hold off talk of fruit until an actual relationship is formed and comes a bit along, though. Fruit is a raunchy, raunchy topic. Freaking conversational minefield, it is.

Blazes if I know. The concept still pops up in drawn stuff fairly often, for what that's worth. And you still have it actually happening, in the whole... reality... thing. But yeah, I guess it's not as common a thing as it once was. Even the skanky old dude in the trenchcoat and naught else has gone digital.

Not that. This. I know if I try to spell out the s part of the title it's going come out as sengoku, so I'm not even going to try.

Ah. Well, the latter would be pretty obvious, wouldn't it? You'd think some gratuitous fraction of that program's use would be sending pictures of genitalia back and forth even before you got to harassment.

Some of the SD stuff -- particularly the brave series -- was pretty solidly super too, I'd say. What I watched of it, anyway.

... sort of.

We did have an alt history thread at some point or another. Maybe more than one, I'unno. No clue if it got locked/deleted or just sunk into inactivity, though.

[snip]
You wouldn't happen to be able to provide verses and whatnot backing that up, would you?

Tempt not the internet, CP. That one's actually somewhat common.

Well, the squidgirl thing. The other thing is even more common.
