If you're going that far, just have it use caffeine/stimulant darts instead of bullets.

Well, do you also oppose privatization of fertilizer, tractor, fuel? They're all agricultural input.

Helgo mean that patents on crop have existed for a very long time (I think some apple varieties where patented in the 19th century), and that the whole issue pre-date GMOs.
I'd... personally, I'd probably draw a line at any staple crops, especially if they weren't tailor made for very specific, very extreme environments. Luxury-ish crops -- like most fruit and probably many vegetables, as well as anything really exotic -- would be okay to patent, but stuff that could -- does -- have the potential for massive impact, especially in less developed areas... shit really should be public domain. Trademark a specific way of branding it, maybe -- that's going to net you plenty of profit in and of itself -- but keep the making of it open and readily available.

There's some scientific advancements we as a species really need to get off our asses, point to, and say, no, this is not going to be sacrificed for greed. Many food related advancements strongly fall under that umbrella, imo. If GMO et al is really doing as well as its proponents say, most it should be being spread as far and as wide as we can manage, not being parceled out for profit. And if the law is getting in the way of that, the law probably needs a pitchfork shoved up its bum.

... has he already skimmed over the wikipedia list of Apple IIGS games?

... that first one made me wonder. Did anyone every turn a superscope into a functional projectile weapon?

I mean, without using it as ammo.

MIGHTY MAN NOODLE O_o
Mighty Mouse, after converting the pastafarianism. MM's tagline even fits in a horrifically perfect manner. "Here I come to save the day!"

I've read someone else reading it. That was quite enough, thank you.

Now now, CP, these people are perfectly supportive of personal liberties and freedom of expression, so long as those liberties are "do what they say" and that expression is "say what they want you to." And anyway, no right minded individual would want otherwise, so there's obviously no risk of oppression for the good person, just those filthy deviants/foreigners. We should laud these individuals for trying to keep the people on the proper path. Maybe laud them with lead, but hey >_>

*mumbles something topical about honor, winking at people that get the reference*

*quiet reminder anything more than oblique references to the work in question probably violates the forum ToS*

Presumably the line smelt of nautical freight to Gig.

Well, not really talking about writing full porn, but more of the tender/romantic/idk/thing moments that make you go "aww how sweet" or something.
The searchable word you're looking for is WAFF.

Step one is going out and finding (several dozen) representative examples of the scene(s) you're trying to write. There's freakish bucketloads of written WAFF fiction online, so you've got plenty of material* even though only something like one out of every hundred or so doesn't make you want to gouge your eyes out.

Step two is plagiarizing the everloving monkeyhump out of them. Steal word choice, steal sentence structure, steal thematic elements, steal goddamn everything (except the actual work). Identify and compare shared elements and then take absolutely all of them.

There is no step three.

E: *Speaking of which, have something I vaguely remember being terribly fuzzy. Link! Last I read any was somewhere back in the single digits 2000s, but whatev'. Was good low-burn stuff.

... tarantulas and most snakes are pretty harmless as pets :-\

Non-venomy snakes that have been around humans a lot are even pretty friendly when they're full, in my experience. Family had a pet boa constrictor back when I was little... fairly cheerful fellow, all told. Once walked around the local elementary school with a 6+ foot snake around my neck :P

That was after having it hanging around a room full of elementary school kids (my classmates, at the time) without incident.

Yup. Though apparently, despite being someone that more or less shits all over science in general, he's made some few comments supportive of further investment into space-related technologies, at least during some of his standard tirades against Obama. It's not entirely impossible he could offer some support for NASA and whatnot. Of course, as the article notes the slag's actions are counter to that, but hey.

Incredibly implausible isn't impossible.

E: Haha who is frumple kidding "fuck science" is basically a republican party platform ;_;

Given in... well, generally a majority of cases, it's the human's fault the animal bit? At least when it comes to domestic animals. Generally not going to get too annoyed at a dog for biting someone that's tormenting them. Wouldn't blame a person for knocking someone that poked them in the eye to the floor, either.

Beyond that, it's ultimately the owner's responsibility. If they've fucked up badly enough putting the animal down is actually required, then it should happen, but that's very rarely the case in everything I've seen.

It was until Neo brought up charms and trinkets.
And since charms came up, I think that means we exalted now. Everybody roll for high fantasy wuxia.
