... checked video. Couldn't finish it. That is some of the most terrible graphics design I have ever seen in the entirety of my gaming career :-\

Everything is jumbled together barely differentiated mud. Looking at it physically hurt ;_;

Like, I have a mild headache now from trying to make sense of that mess. Blergh.

Best of luck to them, but that looks entirely unplayable to me. Neat premise, even, but... no.

As nice as it might be to discuss the topic again, this is really not the goddamn place for it, doubly so considering how many feminism-related threads have been locked at this point.

Not quite there with your average mobile ap, yet. Another <X amount of> decades and further refinement of the already existent holograph technology, though...

I've read a handful of things over the years with that as part of the worldbuilding (pretty certain that more or less comes up re: techno shamans in shadowrun, just as an example). Honestly, from a technomancy/magitek perspective -- just a high-tech friendly or formulaic magic system in general -- it makes an incredible amount of sense. Pretty much everything paper and ink (scrolls, spellbooks, runic systems, all those fancy spell circles, etc., etc.) can do, digital can do better. Digital assistants, casting aids, digitalized arcane repositories, etc., etc., etc.

Like, imagine what elminster could pull off with mechadendrites, y'know? It can be pretty neat.well, besides HERESY, of course

And having an app for, say, create water or food? World hunger solved, assuming magic isn't a (functionally) finite resource in that universe.

Regardless, it would be straight up in line with your average uses/day artifacts. Probably have some material components, so the only purpose of it being an app would be ease of use (likely part of a compendium style multi-effect artifact*) or part of an interface, but... yeah. It's a logical progression.

*Modern miniaturization making thin sheets of properly enchanted material, bound together... stuff like that. Industrial revolution does amazing things for the average magical system, assuming everyone involved isn't plot-lobotomized.

E: This is disregarding the fact that most aps could count as a divination or illusion spell as-is, ha. Hell, your average flashlight ap could probably match some evocation spells... (I'm looking at you, 0th level light.*).

E2: *What's really scary is that depending on the machine you could be looking at a light spell from a 18th+ level caster. Remember folks, if you put your phone in your pocket, for every 10 minutes it can display a white screen, you've got the equivalent of that many caster levels in your pants. 20th level pocket wizard, ohohoho.

PSP, actually. Having played pretty much all of them to varying degrees at this point, I'd probably call the PSP one the definitive version. S'very nice.

Far too little skin showing to be a KLK shoutout :P

Character shows up to parley. Shortly thereafter, the entire greeting party is dead. "... this parley has taken an ill turn," character says. The sheer deadpan of it, after brutally slaughtering a dozen people...

... and then my party cheerfully loots the corpses. I guess it's reflexive by this point, but...

Tactics Ogre, by the by. Fourth chapter, Brigantys south curtain wall.

It's also worth pointing out that, while Westerners always think that the terrorist threat is 'overblown' and that 9/11 was an one-off, Nigerians and many other Muslims (they rarely work in Christian areas, ironically) have to face deaths as a result of Islamic terrorism every week. We must not reduce their plight by suggesting it's all a conspiracy theory to curtain civil liberties on the internet or whatever the latest trend is.
Point of clarification, but I'm fairly sure not many (that aren't entirely bugnuts, anyway) in the western sphere actually think the terrorist threat to, y'know, places like nigeria is overblown. They think it is to places like the US or Canada, or most of Europe -- relatively stable regions in general, because hey, they kinda' aren't in any meaningful statistical sense (Random factoid: Drunk driving has killed several (dozen) times more US citizens than terrorism has.) -- but few with their head even remotely screwed on straight will deny the problem exists in, well, the places where it's actually a substantial problem. Of which there are plenty, they just tend to be outside of the general western sphere of countries.

Mind you, said problem being off in the distance getting them to care is an entirely different proposition, but I've pretty rarely noticed anyone western trying to downplay the impact of terrorist organizations in areas they're actually active and capable of doing substantial damage. They just deny, fairly rightfully, that it's a substantial issue at home.

There's little niche about a TD, SP. Of course one of the better ones is going to be decently well known...

*mumbles something about CW3 being much prettier*

*mumbles something else about a young lady's raging incest boner getting in the way of proper lesbian romance with a galaxy destroying robot*

*mumbles something about needing to go to sleep*

Gwwwarrrgh, stop janking my loot you unmitigated jackasses! Tactics Ogre, I kinda' love you, but swear to zeus there's few things in video games quite as massively irritating as having loot drop on the battlefield and an enemy AI fond of yoinking it, the bastards. Fuckers'll go out of their way to do it, too -- sometimes you can even freaking bait them into poor positioning by leaving loot on the ground! Isn't trying to kill me enough!?

What the hell is an octopus even going to do with some jackhole ninja's equipment, anyway? They can't even wear equipment!

Catching back up on Nanatsu no Taizai, after not having read any for... a while... and. Just hit King's background with Diane (chapter... 70 something, I'unno) and can I just say that's a little creepy? Some tale of genji shit right there.

I guess there's a degree of understandability there given what King is, but... still. Still. No, centuries old dude, you should not mack on the underage giant. I get there's probably no statutory laws involved in either culture and apparently this is a thing with your family but still. Don't do that, you decrepit perv.

1. Time to poke some beehives~

Seriously though, with a name like Lacius I can't help but think that the odds of them not being in on the necromantic cabal are hilariously low. Which is why we go talk to 'em, haha!

Assassination Classroom
wut
Having read part of the manga a ways back and just watched the first episode... it's got an alright premise, I guess? Yellow thing blows up the moon, now highschoolers(?) have to murder it. Said yellow thing can hit mach 20 from a standing start, so... yeah.

Also moonbreaker the tentacley teaches them. It's a thing.
