Grim Tales
Oh, wow. It had been a long time since I'd read any of that -- last time I hit the end of it right when Oogie showed up.

And, uh. It went pretty much full incest plot. That. That's a thing. *goes back to reading*

Apparently my subconscious wanted to listen to this song.. Klezmatic's "Man With a Hat", the song which cheerfully insults something like a dozen major cities.

... why did I just wake up from a dream with Man With a Hat earwigged?* I hadn't heard that ruddy song in... three, four years? Longer? Obviously I have now, but...

*And why in the name of Zeus does earwigged of all words register as correct according to spellcheck!?

Nono, that's still O'Sirus, the Trucker Goddess and (first divine) President of the United States of... Olympia... maybe?
It's Barack O'Sirus, Goddess of Truckers and Prostitutes, President of the United States of America. All hail the Party Semi One, etc., etc.

Just want to note that Hero Union BBS* is... pretty nice. Manga, slice of life, revolving around a, well. Hero bulletin board system. What's in english is relatively short, but it's enough to taste and enjoy. Would recommend based on what I've read so far.

*Full name: Yuusha Gojo Kumiai Kouryuugata Keijiban.

E: Wow, chapter 7 was kinda' amazing. Spontaneous discussion on the ethics and consequences of being summoned. Also student is like best critter.

Thanks for posting it, that was an interesting analysis. Though I completely disagree with one of the sentiments she expressed -- who'd ever want to be an Ewok:P
I will reiterate:
I'unno man, the thought of running around as a Jawa teabagging people and shouting racial slurs against the Hutt is oddly appealing.

An Ewok is fine, too.

... street markets don't really exist in most of the US, Caz, at least insofar as I'm aware. The stuff closest to them generally have pretty high quality foodstuffs (usually local grown or something close to it), though. You'll occasionally get someone parked on the side of the road with a pickup truck or somethin' full of veggies selling out the back, but that's probably the nearest equivalent. Beyond that's tiny farmer's markets and whatnot sprinkled around. Nothing like... street vendors or anything. Probably get some in the very largest cities, but most of the ones I've seen that sort of thing just... isn't there.

Welcome to the future, True. For better or worse, video games have largely normalized.

What the hell?

...

What?

Why would you not be allowed to grow vegetables?
It's usually aesthetic reasons when it comes to homeowner's associations. Probably best not to ask in those cases, as HAs are almost unilaterally neurotic from everything I've heard. No clue about inner-city stuff, but I can imagine there could potentially be some restrictions due to water/pesticide/etc. use.

I haven't heard of any blanket bans on home-growing vegetables, though, more or less anywhere. Certainly not on a state level, though you do get various sorts of restrictions on city or town level.

Woah, woah. Wait. What? Vangers!? Really? That game's awesome. *checks*

Holy hell, it actually is Vangers. Shit. I think I'm about to throw two fiddy at these people. To hell with the rest of the bundle, it's hard to pirate that damned game, and it's pretty bloody great. Fairly confusing, but great.

When did that hit steam and how did I not notice?
