What the zog does any of this have to do with the thread's topic?

... don't we already have this thread? Something about nitpicks?

Judges get a pass often because, unless they make the news for saying something really stupid or abusing their powers obviously in court, no one cares.
... can't speak for what people actually do, but the sentiment I hear the most often in this area is "vote 'em out", pretty much in regards to every position that isn't in contention. If incumbent == kick out seems to be the default rhetoric, at the very least. Folks seem to want judges (everything, really, when it's a yes/no thing) to cycle fairly often.

... do remember that this is not the "problems with organized religion" thread. If you want to have that particular discussion, go make a thread for it. Otherwise, maybe reign in the meta and wait for folks to actually share christian beliefs on whatever the subject is, instead of going on yet another irreligious rant.

... beyond Isp's one, could you, say, transfer 1% of the world's economy into STEM research funding? Because that sounds like a good idea to me. Do that enough and you might not even have to worry about eternal youth or whatnot after someone properly cracks the aging process.

E2: Though I guess the technical wording would be something like "increase overall global allocations of funds into STEM research by 1%". Whatever works.

E: And what about, like, nested stuff. First you shift 1% of, say, Florida's military spending somewhere else. Then the tri-state area. Then the south east US, then the east coast, then the south, then [...] and so on.

Also, fear of TEH GAY is not that strongly supported by the bible: IIRC there's only a couple of bits about sodomy in the OT, and that's kinda non-binding for non-Jews.
And even to the extent it is condemned, it's not like most christians don't happily ignore similar strictures. Presence in the bible is of arguable importance a lot of the time, heh.

E: Though the OT being binding is something of an anomaly, so far as I'm aware. Most christian denominations I've encountered hold at least some variation of its laws and whatnot being inapplicable after Streaker J did his thing. New convent, etc., etc.

Presumably the same place they came from to begin with. Given that the christian god is generally considered at-least omniscient, and often omnipresent and omnitemporal, it presumably just magicked up however many would ultimately be needed to begin with and is bringing in the excess as necessary. Or could just be making more as things come along. It's not like there's much of a difference.

There's not really a reason or cause needed in this case, anyway -- soul generation in general boils down to "A Wizard Did It", and that's all the justification you really need. Or can have, really.

Eh, not like you can't talk about it some more. Just noting so if you want to search back and see what came up last time(s), you can.

The idea of polarms being used in mating... Just why would anyone think about that?
Behold the infinite virile power of phallic symbolism.

Reincarnation's actually came up in the thread once or twice already :P

There are a few christian denominations out there that hold to various sorts of reincarnation beliefs, even discounting the buddhist or hindu fusion sects. The variant I remember the most regularly (though not exactly which denomination it was that believed it) held the belief that people reincarnate until the end of times, whenever that is -- a sort of limited reincarnation. I can't recall the reasoning behind the belief, but *shrugs*

It's arguable how in sync with the bible is, but it's also not like the text is terribly explicit regarding a lot involving the afterlife, so eh. If people want to roll with it, they can probably manage it, especially if they're one of the groups that cheerfully throw out revelations.

That's what the school admin and whatnot were telling people, anyway. It wouldn't exactly surprise me if that was the actual reason, though. Horny people get inventive, even when they're young.

oh no young people might do sexy things to each other what is the world coming to
It's more of a if-school-doesn't-do-something-despite-knowing-PTA-comes-down-like-hammer sort of thing, I think. Among other things. Folks in the states (well, most everywhere, honestly) aren't terribly comfortable with the whole sexuality-during-puberty thing.

Silly bands for sexual favors? Da hell?
Signaling system, not barter :P

Piko up a bit covered that, roughly.

Why just because we are setting a separation between our world and the one our god lives in?
Eh? No, no. God of the Gaps refers to the divine critter(s) being whatever fills in the gaps science hasn't or can't, generally. Th'divine as something transcendent/extraterrestrial is something different.
