... if it's an actual DS, you might have trouble wrangling it, but Soma Bringer got fantranz'd a bit back and is kinda' interesting if you're into action RPG stuff. There's also 7th Dragon along the same translation vein, also pretty good but more along the lines of Etrian Odyssey (and yeah, those are good, too).

There's one of those RTS-y games from the summon night series for it, I think, maybe some others, too. There's a mana game on it, too, but I vaguely remember hearing ill words about it. Rune factory stuff's neat, as was mentioned upthread a bit. World Ends with You is kinda' obvious. Same with Radiant Histora. Wanna' say the luminous arc stuff was alright SRPGs, if somewhat wonky in theme. Roughly similar sentiment there with Sands of Destruction, though iirc it's a straight up RPG. There's a Megami Tensai SRPG on the DS too, I think -- probably want to give that a gander. Suikoden game's on there, yeah. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is... surprisingly pleasing for a match-3 style game. There's a disgaea game :V The FFTA games are there, as well as that other final fantasy one that's RTS-y and... it was kinda' interesting, I guess? Knights in the Nightmare is kinda' freaking awesome, but also kinda' freaking weird. Rondo of Swords was a pretty neat SRPG-thing.

If you can stand the fanservice, the Super Robot Taisen OG Saga stuff is pretty damn excellent. Pretty engaging combat system.

I personally liked Black Sigil, but others complain about the encounter rate iirc. It's... fairly old school. I love the opening sequence-ish bit, though -- being protag is suffering, it's pretty great. Combat's also quite solid, iirc.

... and that's all I can remember. Except to mention Yggdra Union and related stuff, which I don't think was every released english on the DS but there's some other stuff on the GBA (and PSP, iirc... maybe something else, too) I can't recall if was mentioned. Nietzsche typecast as a loli mermaid is something I don't think I'll ever forget.

E: And yeah, the link worked, if it's supposed to be a series of screenshots from one of the valkyrie-whatever games, heh.

Eh, when you want that you just nab the "Everything is Unique" addon, ha. It has the added bonus of absolutely drowning you in loot, too.

... getting? Implication I've ended up with watching folks talking about SAO is that the only good things about it is abridged and the fanfiction :P

I got a phone call from my grandmother today.
Her - "I've got good news."
Me - "Oh, what is it?"
Her - "Your great grandfather died yesterday"
Me - "..."
... was he in great pain or experiencing terrible dementia or something? Was it good news?

... honestly, randomly attempting to start up conversation with complete strangers is one of the odder social habits in parts of the states. I see it happen, have had it happen to me a couple times, and the thought in the back of the head is, "Who the hell are you and why the zogging hell are you bothering me, you lunatic?" Doesn't help that a lot of folks around here are functionally addicted to disinformation via the media. Can't say I blame folks for not wanting to engage in that sort of thing. I hear y'all talking about this and suddenly germany seems a lot more attractive as a place to move to.

Over here. Maybe OG itself if there's an old halo thread to kick back open and see if anyone's still playing.

... y'know, that's actually one of the least unsettling greys I've seen, discounting SD stuff.

Though that site was doing alright until the people with no skin screwing. That was my, "Yep, I'm out." point.

... it's beautiful. Needs some gears or superfluous pipes or something, though.

E: Ooooh, or maybe not. It looks like the xammie's going to be on the probable winning team. Dander, risen.
I was so terribly, terribly, unsurprisingly wrong. RIP xammie ;_;7

... well, at least it wasn't some variation of trombone. Otherwise I would have been contractually required to hire someone to break your legs with one. Maybe a Tron Bonne cosplayer for extra zing.

Actually, on second thought, nevermind. Someone would probably get off on that :-\

Not around here it ain't.

E: And nah grak, the other rap. Rap sheet. Bum as in lame, in the injured sense. Bum rap is a listing of past action that's injurious. More or less.

Time-stuff, yeah. Stable time travel loops are a normal thing in fiction, anyway. The universe started because someone in the future went back in time and started it :P

Good as answer as any, I suppose. Also means we (or at least some other intelligent species, I guess) will eventually be able to claim credit for it the start, anyway, which is something.

You thought it was YWHW, but it was ME, DIO! Along those lines. That would be a good line. Note to self: Legislate that all time travelers must legally change their name to Dio.

There is an opera house fairly nearby. How do you think they stay in business? Somebody is dragging somebody there.
... can... can people not just like opera? If I had the money for it, and one was around, I'd... probably go. Just on m'lonesome. No dragging or being drug. Opera can be pretty nice. Gets a bum rap, it does...

Changing existing code is... well, from what I've seen, generally considerably easier than adding new skills. Adding entirely new talents into the game is probably one of the most difficult parts of T4 modding, heh, unless they're, like, incredibly simple (and probably ripped off from another talent. I think I've seen four or five separate "this is stealth renamed" talents in the addons on the site, ha). Copy/pasting old ones and then adjusting is... I've actually managed to do that, a few times :P Mostly back before this superload etc. stuff was added into the engine, but still. From what I understand, that stuff actually makes stuff like changing single lines of code and whatnot easier than it used to be.

But nah, shieldpunching wouldn't really be the way to break the shield thing. Shield proccing would be -- stuff like arcane blade's procs and a great deal of extra accuracy from somewhere. Shields have the same accuracy bonus staves do, which more or less makes them staves with a much heavier physical component. Psi-wield an actual staff along with it, and...

Forget if you can flurry with dual-wielded shields, though. Probably.

... yeah, if that's the teacher's position, after what happened, it's probably time to say, "Okay, they're not doing their job, time to go over their head." I would say try talking to the teacher one more time, because, y'know, people deserve a chance and there's a difference between interpersonal conflict and something roughly equivalent to blackmail, but. Yeah.

Mind you, it was also probably time for a great deal of vulgarity and maybe a light assault charge when that piece of shit tried to bully and blackmail you into lying, but *shrugs* If the school's worth a damn, there's probably some sort of academic malfeasance whatsit they violated doing that.

... less violently, the actual appropriate response in that situation actually kinda' is "Fuck off and get the hell away from me." Try politely, at first, but after that comes the screaming and the f-bombs. Sometimes people do not get the point until the sexual practices of their ancestors are maligned.
